(Free Agent vs Free Agent)

Intro:
The main event tonight sees Mallory Jansen and Berenice Marlohe return to the ring for the first time this year, this fight is taking place in Queensland's Carrara Indoor Stadium.
Mallory is 29 years old, she stands 5'9 ½ and holds an unbeaten record of 2 wins, both by knockout, she is the current ACB lightweight champion.
Berenice is 39 years old, she stands 5'9 and holds a record of 4 wins, all by knockout and 12 defeats.

The fighters were interviewed at their gyms, Mallory training at the Fightfit centre in her hometown of Melbourne looks in a great mood as she finishes her training.
She tells the press "I'm looking forwards to this, I've been waiting too long to get back into the ring, so I've had a hard 6 weeks training to get ready for this fight and hopefully more fights this year"
Smiling she continues "I guess Berenice is my punchbag to let my frustrations out, I don't envy her one bit" winking as she goes to cool down.
Berenice meanwhile has stayed close to the venue by training in Queensland, finishing a jog around the block, she is giving a moment by her coach to talk to the press.
"You want my thoughts on this fight; simple, I want to win and Mallory is nothing I can't handle, that easy enough for you guys?" She doesn't wait for an answer as she heads into the gym to finish her training for the day.

Fight night; out comes Mallory to a heroes welcome, the crowd happy to see her back in the ring as she is judging by the big grin on her face as jogs to the ring.
She is wearing a lime green sports bra; matching trunks, gloves and shoes, while her hair is up in a ponytail.
Stepping into the ring; Mallory bows to the crowd who are chanting her name, before she jogs over to her corner and begins to warm up.
Now out comes Berenice; she doesn't get as warm a reception but doesn't seem to care as she heads down to the ring, looking in great shape as she goes.
Her attire tonight is a blue and white half and half sports bra, blue trunks with a white waistband, and "Marlohe" in red letters on the waistband, she has red gloves and blue shoes, her hair is in a ponytail.
Climbing into the ring; Berenice looks all business as she jogs over to her corner, limbering up as she chats with her coach as they plan for the fight.

Both come to the ring centre and scowl as their eyes meet, the referee stays somewhat between the fighters as they go through the final instructions.
Asked to touch gloves, they swipe them together and jog over to their corners, ready to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Both women start off circling with stiff jabs finding gaps through the others defence, landing on faces as there isn't much of a feeling out process.
Especially as Berenice shoves Mallory with her left shoulder and starts landing to the body, looking to bully the younger fighter backward.
Mallory uses her footwork to get out the way of Berenice, countering with her punches catching the French star on her nose.
But Berenice slips under a right to get back to work on the body, slipping a few punches to the jugs of Mallory to back her up several steps.
Till Mallory uses her left to nudge Marlohe back enough to land a right across her head, leading to both women standing to trade shots.
Mallory comes on strong late in the round; stepping back out the way of a right hook and quickly stepping in to lash two cross punches across the face of her opponent.
The bell rings with Mallory looking annoyed that she let Berenice start off the quicker, with the French fighter smiling as she sits on her stool and chats away with her coach.

Round 2:
Berenice strategy is clearly to clear and keep Mallory on the back foot; coming up the inside as the fighters start off with jabs, with Jansen looking a little surprised by her opponent's movements.
The older fighter after landing a straight onto the lips of Mallory, turns her attention down to the body of Mallory to drive the air from her and hopefully slow her down.
Mallory starts to adapt though, using her left to shove Berenice back; she uses her quicker footwork to dodge her opponent and begins to land more cleanly boxing on the outside.
The jab of Mallory when used at range seems a key weapon against Berenice as it finds it's way onto the face of the older fighter too much for Marlohe's corners liking.
Berenice dips down and tries to get inside, but gets caught with two straight punches to her face and as she swings an overhand right that misses, Mallory lands a right cross of her own.
That puts Berenice on the defensive as Mallory comes forwards, banging her punches off the gloves of Berenice, till Mallory starts testing the abs of Berenice.
Berenice coming back with a jab and a right cross, both trading hard shots as the seconds tick away in the round, both grunting and trying to make a statement late on.
The bell rings with both women jogging back to their corners, the crowd roaring for Mallory as she pumps her right fist in the air.
Mallory getting a nod from her coach as she sits down, both talking about how she needs to use her speed more and keep out boxing Berenice.
Who looks across the ring at Mallory; talking to her coach about what she needs to do, with Berenice standing up and banging her gloves together just as the bell is ringing.

Round 3:
Berenice looks to come out quickly; forcing Mallory to trade in the centre of the ring, the veteran looks to throw more bombs it seems as she backs up Mallory towards the ropes after landing a right hook across her face.
Mallory clinches up with Berenice, who throws a few kidney shots till the referee steps in to break them up, warning Berenice to keep it clean.
When the action resumes; Berenice starts getting hit more often as she tries to keep the pressure on the younger woman.
Instead Mallory is catching her with her jab off her nose, with a right whacking across the nose of Berenice to make her cry out as blood starts running from it.
Berenice is trying to cover up; but Mallory now has an opening to exploit, drilling her left through to the bloody nose of Berenice to make her cry out and knocks her back to the ropes.
Where the fighters slug it out, Mallory though keeps bashing Berenice on the nose to force her back behind her gloves, leading to Mallory slamming her right fist into the body of Berenice till the bell rings not long after to end the round.
Mallory jogs back to her corner with a smile on her face as she shows her coach her blood stained gloves, knowing they have a big opening now in the fight to work with.
While Berenice winces as her coach works on her nose, she stamps as she can be heard saying "that f***ing bytch"

Round 4:
As the fighters come out; Berenice looks more subdued as Mallory takes the ring centre and forces her opponent around the outside.
Both land single punches as they measure each other up; till Mallory feints a left and lands a real right cross that catches Berenice flush on the side of her head.
As Berenice is knocked onto the ropes, she tries to clinch up with Mallory, BUT A STRAIGHT TO HER NOSE STOPS HER AND LEFTS HER OPEN TO A RIGHT HOOK ACROSS HER CHIN THAT MAKES HER TAKE A KNEE!
Berenice shakes her head as blood drips from her nose to the canvas 1...2...3...4 wiping her nose with the back of her glove, Berenice says "f*** sake" 5...6...7....8 standing up to beat the count as she waves Mallory in.
As the fight continues; Berenice swings hooks at the head of Mallory, who dances out the way of the wild punches and counters with punches to the face of Berenice.
Mallory slams a straight to the top of Berenice's head, landing a left hook to knock Berenice onto the ropes, where the French star tries to fight back.
But another right in on her nose has Berenice on the ropes, MALLORY POUNDS AWAY AT THE FACE OF BERENICE, WHOSE HANDS DIP AND SHE IS LEANING ON THE ROPES, THE REFEREE STEPS IN TO STOP THE FIGHT, SAYING BERENICE CAN'T CONTINUE!

Winner Mallory Jansen TKO Round 4

After:
The crowd all stand and cheer Mallory as she starts strutting around the ring, while Berenice has tears in her eyes as her face looks a mess from the beating it took.
Berenice's coach helps her back to her corner where they work on cleaning her nose up, stopping the bleeding and wiping the blood from her jugs as Berenice wipes tears from her eyes.
All the while she gets to watch Mallory have a lap inside the ring where the fans chant the winners name, with Berenice scowling at her.
Mallory doesn't even acknowledge Berenice as she goes past that corner, instead just waving to her fans, before settling into her corner to get washed down.
With Berenice deciding after her nose is cleaned up that she wants to leave the ring, only the cameras seeming to notice her as she heads to the locker room area.

In the ring; Mallory gets her hand raised by the referee to a loud cheer, with Mallory getting her ACB title to show off to the crowd, maybe next time she steps into the ring will be a title defence.
Leaving the ring with her corner team, she points at her title and tells the camera nearest her "this is why I am the number 1 in the world" which is certainly a hell of a statement to make.
I'm sure FCBA champion Yvonne Strahovski and BBU champion Alessandra Ambrosio would argue that fact, maybe she enters the dream fights with the other champions before the year ends.
