Hannah Brown versus Cobie Smulders

Before: “Oh boy am I nervous!” Hannah Brown smiles at the throng of reporters. “I mean I’m pretty jacked! Nervous in that way. Pointy and his team have trained me so well. Now I’s up to me. Cobie’s had some incredible experience, won some real good fights and I have none of that and she’s in phenomenal shape. All I can say is I’m going to do my best out there.” Hannah does her best “Aw Shucks” talk, waves to the reporters and steps off the podium.

“I know the story and you do too. The young talent looking for her big break takes on a vet who is past her prime. Well besides that girl being very talented not any of what I’ve just said is written in stone. I’m in the best shape that I’ve ever been in and I’ve taken my training to a whole new level, so Hannah I plan on giving you a real welcome to the FCBA. One you aren’t expecting, a loss.” Cobie Smulders lays it out for Hannah and then walks through the crowd.

Both fighters in top shape. Cobie’s shoulders and arms are toned and muscular while Hannah is showing off one of the better etched six pack abs in the FCBA as she enters the ring in a Bazz black bikini, gloves and shoes, her hair in a ponytail. Cobie wearing an off white bikini with matching gloves and shoes, her hair hanging loose.

Rd 1 The fighters start out the fight cautious. Cobie not wanting to step into a quick beat down from the rather imposing looking Brown while Hannah seems quite intimidated as well. Hannah finally reaches out snapping off a jab that catches Smulder on the chin. The crowd reacts and Brown seems to react as if she has just hit a home run and not as a fighter that now must follow up with another strong punch. Cobie takes advantage skipping in and scoring with a combination that drives Hannah back to the ropes. Hannah covers up now fully into the contest. She ducks down and powers a couple of uppercuts to the body driving Cobie off of her. The fighters clinch at mid ring with Cobie scoring on some shots up and off of Hannah’s face. The round ends with a bit of advantage for Cobie. Hannah can be heard muttering “Mistakes! Stop with the mistakes!” as she makes her way to her corner.

Rd 2 Hannah listens to some instruction from Poindexter Del Crunchy and then bounces out to mid ring. She engages with Cobie who is jabbing away and keeping her distance. Brown times her assault skipping into a dancing Cobie and exploding with a right hand jug shot and following with a left and that turns Smulders’ head sideways. Crowd erupts getting its first look at the power behind a Hannah Brown punch. This time the Bazz girl wastes no time jumping in on the retreating Cobie. She hits her with another two punch combo to the body that causes Cobie to wince. Smulders in the corner trying to recover from some very strong punching while Hannah winds up in front of her. The Bazz girl lands a number of punches to the body and arms that are covering up Cobie’s head. Brown trying to close it out early but not really sure how to do it at this point except to continue to pour on the pain. As the bell rings everyone in the arena is aware that the two things that kept Cobie Smulders afloat in this round was her experience in ring survival and mostly Hannah’s inexperience in closing out the fight.

Rd 3 Cobie looked over carefully in her corner gets up and makes her way to center ring. Hannah meets her and issues a couple of jabs to Cobie’s head. She’s showing more confidence as she circles the waiting Smulders. Suddenly Cobie lashes out with a left hand jab and then a right hand roundhouse to the torso showing that she’s not quite done yet. Hannah blocks the jab but takes a wincing shot to her side with the right hand. She stumbles to her left and Cobie gives chase. She uses her quickness to go in with more combinations. She has Hannah on the ropes pushing in some shots to the body while Hannah does her best to cover up from the relentless assault. The round winds up as a big comeback for Cobie who takes advantage of the new girl’s inexperience.

Rd 4 Hannah gets some serious instruction from both Lis Rohm and Pointy in her corner. She’s nodding incessantly as the two managers work to get her back on track. The well built blonde gets back out to center ring and mixes it right up with Smulders who has been given a new lease on life for this fight. She uses her left hand to keep Hannah at bay who is putting together a rather aggressive offensive. She’s hitting Cobie with strong punches to the body and then moving upstairs to the head with the occasional right cross. Smulders on the defensive as the crowd is quickly seeing that she is having trouble holding off the powerful Bazz girl when she is on the offensive. Brown duck and weaving in and out on Cobie through punches that land with loud thumps against Smulders’ body and arms. She’s doing a very good job at causing damage regardless of what defense Smulders puts up. Towards the end of the round Hannah keeping up her assault on Cobie’s head finally scores with one of her right crosses. Smulders’ head turns and she stumbles back against the ropes with her arms tight against her head. Hannah keeps it up hitting hard right up until the bell ending the round rings.

Rd 5 Hannah’s corner as happy with this round as any of the others. Brown took control and didn’t let go of it throughout. She’s at it again at the outset of the round going at Cobie with jabs and a strong right hand. Cobie backpedaling looking to catch the Bazz girl when she makes a mistake. It happens when Hannah over swings on a rather wild right hand. Cobie follows the thrust in with a right of her own catching Hannah on the jaw causing the cloned to stutter step. Smulders goes low right away working the body with several two punch combinations. Hannah comes back with another right hand that backs off Cobie. The pace is getting intense and the crowd is reacting with some noise. Both fighters showing that they want the fight bad with strong efforts to overpower their opponent. Cobie looking a little shaper with her technique has an edge as the round ends.

Rd 6 Both fighters hydrating and listening in their respective corners. Hannah showing frustration at not making rookie mistakes as Pointy has been calling them. She gets right out as the bell rings. She ducks in and lands a nice left hand buggywhip that sends Cobie reeling. Smulders hirt by another of Hannah’s strong punches. She backs up and defends while Brown works her way into Cobie’s grill with a flurry of powerful punches. Cobie dancing away but Hannah’s finding the spot first. She just seems to have more gas in the tank at this point as she is hunting Cobie down and inflicting a great deal of pain with a strategy of punching low to the body and heading upstairs when the opportunity comes. Cobie is now running from Hannah’s blows to the body throwing some defensive punches but not really getting anywhere with the runaway train that is Hannah brown.

Rd 7 Hannah continues her assault. It’s obvious that she is in superior condition and at this point of the fight it’s showing. Cobie breaks from Brown trying to get some air and space from the powerful lightweight. Hannah gives her the room for a moment and then gets right back to it scoring with a two punch combination that includes a right hand to the ribs that hits so hard the noise reverberates around the arena and causes the crowd to roar its approval. Smulders clearly hurt now tries to keep Brown at bay by clinching with her and get some short punches in. The ref is working full time to keep the fighters in the open finally separates them. Hannah takes full advantage. She hits Cobie right in the snout with a jab that stops her right in her tracks and then a quick right hand that hammers Smulders on the side of the head and as far as anyone can see puts the lovely brunette out where she stands. Hannah steps back and DOWN GOES COBIE! The brown haired beauty falls like a chain sawed pine with her hands at her side. She’s motionless while the ref counts her out. IT’S A 7th ROUND KO FOR HANNAH BROWN IN HER FIRST FCBA FIGHT!
