PEYTON ROI LIST VS BAILEE MADISON

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Peyton: 21 YO, 5’6 (1.68 m), 2-6-0, 2 KO since 2016, Free Agent

Bailee: 20 YO, 5’6 (1.68 m), 0-3-0 since 2017, Foxfire Boxing

Before: “It was nice of my bosses at Foxfire help me get this fight,” says Bailee Madison, “I realize that being 0-3 does not make me a ‘hot prospect’. I like to think that I am just developing more slowly that some girls and frankly, I think there are too many rookies who rushed into the ring just because they were old enough. I admit I thought that way myself, but I think I’m wiser now and I’ll do better in the long run by establishing myself with a firm foundation of boxing skills.”

Peyton Roi List gives Bailee a knowing smirk: “You sure do have down all the excuses for your loser record. I may not have a great record, but I have two wins more than you!”

“I’ll have my first win once I’ve beaten you!” Bailee retorts.

“All you’ll have is a fourth loss to try to explain away. Lots of luck with that!” Peyton said dismissively and saunters away leaving Bailee scowling.

Fight night finds Peyton entering the ring in a black bikini with silver gloves and boots (black laces), hair in battle braid down her back. Bailee is in a fiery red one piece with white gloves and boots (red laces), her bobbed hair is loose but wetted down. Tense instructions, but referee keeps order until he can get the fighters off to their corners. Then the bell rings.

R1; Young fighters out cautiously, not wanting to be the first to make a mistake. A few probing punches are exchanged as they slowly circle. Then Peyton becomes emboldened and suddenly darts in a slam an uppercut into Bailee’s chin. Bailee sent recoiling back and Peyton now advances with a solid series of punches to Bailee’s chest, stomach and ribs. Bailee trying to scrunch up defensively and push out her jab. Peyton works her way around the jab while punching away steadily to Bailee’s body and the sides of her head. Bailee looking cramped and sluggish as Peyton increases the rate of her body punching in the final minute. Bell rings and Peyton Roi List goes to her corner having won the round wide.

R2: Bailee urged by coach Virginia Madsen to “show some aggression”. Bailee nods and comes at Peyton much faster this round and with a barrage of hooks to the young blonde’s midsection. Peyton trying to stand up to the attack, but Bailee essentially ignoring her counters to slam more hooks home. Peyton is now bent forward and Bailee bangs her to the sides of the head. Peyton obliged to keep her gloves up protectively high but now Bailee can work her over to the body. Punches going into breasts, ribs and stomach as well as the side ribs in a thorough scrubbing attack from Bailee. Round ends with Bailee smiling happily she knows she’s won the round wide.

R3: Peyton responds to Bailee’s aggression with aggression of her own. So now both Bailee and Peyton are fast out of their corners and plow right into each other. They get toe to toe, banging chests together and trying to body each other back. Referee has to intervene repeatedly. Then they settle in an intense exchange of toe to toe body punching attack. Neither one want to give ground so they dig in and slug it out in the trenches. Actually rather impressive for young fighters as take punches and give it right back to their rival. Battle rages down to the bell. They step back, dripping sweat and breathing hard before moving off to their corners. Round is declared to be a DRAW.

R4: Out they come again at high speed, but this time Peyton is able to show some nifty footwork that distracts Bailee. Peyton then able to bring a surprise right crashing into Bailee’s jaw. Bailee knocked sideways by the impact and Peyton pounds away at her until she has the brunette jammed against the ropes. Bailee grappling with Peyton until the referee pushes them apart, Peyton immediately resumes her attack, trying to push Bailee back into the ropes, but Bailee is sliding along the strands, just protecting her head without doing much counterpunching. Finally, Bailee able to make a break around Peyton and get back out to the center of the ring. Peyton quickly overtakes her. Bailee has a jab going now and does slow Peyton up to the bell. However Peyton has won the round easily.

R5: Peyton is eager to build on her success in the previous round. She heads for Bailee and tries to feint her out of position once again. Unfortunately for Peyton, Bailee doesn’t bite this time and Peyton is one taking a crashing right to the jaw. Peyton reels away and Bailee is swift to follow, firing punch after punch at Peyton’s head and face. Peyton struggling is pull herself together behind her jab, but just as she starting to set up, Bailee darts in with a hard banging right to the chin. Peyton’s head snaps back and Bailee stuffs a hook into the young blonde’s belly. Peyton is jackknifed forward—and Bailee is waiting to bring old one-two right/left combo into Peyton’s chin. DOWN GOES PEYTON!. The blonde crashes onto her face and lies there sucking canvas as Bailee looks down with a big smile on her face. Bailee trots off to the neutral corner and looks back hopefully as the referee stands over a groaning Peyton and counts.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!... YOU’RE OUT!”

THE WINNER BAILEE MADISON DEFEATS PEYTON ROI LIST KO5!

After: Bailee bursts into tears and sinks to her knees as she realizes she has won her very first FCBA victory, Stablemate Natalie Alyn Lind comes out and helps to Bailee, then gives her a big victory hug.

“I knew you do it—eventually,” Natalie tells her. “Come on lets go celebrate! It’s time you cut loose and I’m just the girl to help you do it.”

“Just so I don’t wake up in a detention cell or a back alley,” Bailee teased.

“Please! I am offended! I am high class celebrator! None of that low class drunken cavorting for me or you either!” Natalie assured her.

“Right, “ Bailee said doubtfully, but then brightened. “But tonight I won’t care! Let me get my shower and let’s go!”

Meanwhile the defeated Peyton Roi List has been helped to her feet and after being checked out in her corner, heads back to the dressing rooms. Her sad expression is all you have to know about how she feels about this defeat.

Lively rookie contest that likely could have gone either way. Fortunately for Bailee Madison, she was able to see through a Peyton Roi List feint and use it punch her way to her first win. A milestone for Ms. Madison, but she clearly has much more to learn. No doubt the lost is a painful one for Peyton Roi List. This was her first fight since 2018 and it ended in 5 rounds. One can only hope she will keep trying and perhaps find management that can help her to win consistently.
