Luisana Lopilato vs Alicia Vikander
Luisa: (31, 5’6, 115, 22:11 FCBA, VIXENs)
Alicia: (31, 5’5, 10:9 FCBA, The Fighting Academy)
BEFORE: After that shock win over the BBU Lightweight champion Alessandra Ambrosio just last month, Luisana is still seen bouncing on her feet, wide beam as reporters catch her by ring-side before the official start to this contest.
“Enough about Alessandra. She underestimated me, and here we are. I’m eager to beat Alicia as well tonight - she’s a wonderful actress and a mean fighter outside of her acting career, so it’s definitely gonna be a tough challenge, but I think I’m up for it!” Luisa says.
The Vixen is first to part the curtains, striding down the ramp in her usual white lingerie set and both hands waved to the cameras. That angelic smile is to die-for, wouldn’t you agree? She didn’t get a chance to address that recent controversy regarding her husband, Michael Bublé’s, intrusive elbow, but maybe that’s a good sign of Luisa wanting to focus on the fight itself tonight.
Her opponent is of course Lara Croft, the Tomb Raider herself, with the Swede Alicia Vikander gracing the VIX shores twice before, having faced Kyra Santoro and Emily Ratajkowski in the past two years.
“I’m not complaining. At least I’m getting fights in the ring,” Alicia smirks to reporters by the apron. “It’s been a mixed bag whenever I get a challenge from a Vixen, however. I managed to put Kyra down the last time, but obviously didn’t fare too well against Emily. As for Luisa, I honestly don’t see her as much of a threat. We’ll see, I guess.”
Ladies stare down in the middle of the ring, those terse comments not helping matters as they gear themselves up for ten rounds of Bantamweight action. Luisa is slightly taller and bulkier, but Alicia’s speed and agility are the tools she’s most comfortable with using in the past. Before we forget, Alicia is wearing a tight black sports bra, zebra fighting tights for bottoms as she touches red gloves with Luisa’s pink.
Ref rings the bell and HERE we go!
ROUND 1: Fast and furious attacks from Luisa - uncharacteristic behaviour from the blonde, who’s usually seen as passive-aggressive in her approach. Here, however, she takes the fight to Alicia, scoring jabs off the face early before landing shots on those mean abs of the Swede. Alicia perhaps brought a knife to a gunfight, having anticipated a different game entirely as she covers up and scrambles, much like that opening boxing fight scene in her Tomb Raider flick. Some wild flurries exchanged in the middle and third minute as Vikander stands her ground and hits back at the oncoming Vixen, but overall, we’re gonna give it to Luisa for chasing down her opponent constantly and consistently this round.
ROUND 2: Vikander however recovers and adapts quickly, now playing defensive with even more energy as she leads Luisa about the ring by the nose. The Swede stays at distance, jabbing at the Vixen’s face and scoring hits on the nose, lips and the occasional hard swipe across the chin. Points turning in the opposite field for Alicia as she avoids Luisa’s return fire, her agility on display after all that movie-set training as the agile Lara Croft. Luisa gets frustrated as a result, throwing more and more haphazard swings at Vikander’s head, who simply weaves backwards and then counters with a mean right hook to the body. Luisa lets out a yelp just as the bell rings, thrown to the side from the impact but recovers in time to see Vikander moving back to corner with a big smile on her face.
ROUND 3: The Swede’s conquest continues! Alicia lands jab-jab-hook combos and finally turns the tide on Lopilato, whom she’s driving back and across the extent of the ring. Luisa’s not as quick to adapt to her opponent’s speed, only thing she can do is put up her arms and hope for the best at this point. Alicia therefore gets free reign to pick and choose her shots, scoring hits on face and body with harder, stiffer strikes. Luisana can’t take more of this abuse, and she knows this - blonde actress rallies in the third, or tries to at least, ROARS out of her corner swinging mad at Vikander’s head. Last Hail Mary approach sees some results as Alicia scrambles to cover up, taking some hard knocks to the side of the head but still staves off disaster when the bell rings too soon.
ROUND 4: Luisa’s corner trying to advise her in between rounds, with Co-Head Trainer Corey Saucier doing his best to keep his girl calm and her head in the game. Alicia looks brazen enough, however, when the bell rings and she comes prancing out of her corner, eager to continue the abuse. Some early promise from Luisana though as she meets the Swede’s aggression with her own, slamming a hard hook into raised arms then scoring with another hard swipe at the Swede’s body. Alicia is still difficult to pin down though, grunting as she circles out of range and resumes her jabbing pattern. Luisa rushing at her and rushing at her more, determined to not go home this round without seeing some results. Both girls get into a clinch on the ropes, Vikander stuffing a right hand into the Vixen’s lips face before ducking under a return hook. The two ladies grunt as they turn about on the ropes, digging gloves into the body, but unfortunately for Lopilato, she ends the round with another wide-round loss, even if Vikander is starting to look winded herself.
ROUND 5: Vikander’s moving more slowly, arms still up but a layer of sweat gleaming on her skin. She fends off an early attack from Lopilato but then gets caught by more blows to her body in close contact, grunting as she’s shoved into the ropes by the blonde and tries to clinch up with her foe again. Lopilato finally gets the Swede in her sights, starts unloading like a madwoman with Alicia’s back to the ropes. But Vikander holds on, hiding her head in her arms as her body and upper torso gets swung left and right from rapid left and right hooks. Another clinch up in the final seconds has Alicia in survival mode from this onslaught, much to the disappointment of the Vixen, who has struggled this entire fight to put the leaner woman down.
ROUND 6: More aggression might be the strategy going forward, which negates Alicia’s speed and agility, as Luisa discovers. Sound of the bell and the blonde RUSHES in once more, new tricks in her strategy book as she overwhelms an already-tired Vikander with stiffer blows to her arms and body, straight punches gut-checking her and making her groan. It’s not going well for Vikander as her plan to out-pace the Vixen gets torn to shreds, finds her back to the ropes once more as Luisa pushes into the last inning! More body-thumping action has Alicia groaning on the ropes, before a right hook to the face sends her SPIRALING DOWN!! Sudden KNOCKDOWN for Luisana Lopilato! Textbook right hand right there as the Vixen takes an early lap!
Vikander on her chest faced down, one hand gripped on the bottom rope as she struggles to pull herself up from this abyss… Referee has already started the count, that look in his eyes as he realises the Swede isn’t gonna make it back up to her feet in time… Vikander’s still on her knees when he hits the final count of 10! There goes the bell! It’s all over!
Official Decision: Luisana Lopilato defeats Alicia Vikander via KO6!
AFTER: A hard-fought win for Luisa as she continues to score wins over a slew of tough opponents! Luisa looks elated as she raises a hand confidently to the crowds, then immediately runs back to her corner to embrace her team members.
Alicia meanwhile is just lying flat on her back, conscious by the ropes as she buries her face in her hands. Luisa walks over later and offers her a hand, which Vikander takes graciously, as the two women share some brief words of encouragement before leaving the ring from opposite ends.
Not much else to report here except that Luisa continues to impress us with her unpredictable nature, one moment winning against a former champion, the other then losing. Let’s hope this winning streak of hers continues into the future. |
