Wallis is 25 years old; she stands 5'8 ½, holding a record of 7 wins, all coming by way of knockout, with only 2 defeats.

The fighters were asked for a few by Alicia Atout before the fight in the interview area, first up was Missy looking relaxed as she wore a black T-shirt, blue jeans and red trainers.

"It's always a pleasure to come down to Texas to fight, everyone knows this is a fighting state and I am here to give them a great fight" says Missy as she plays to the locals.

Asked about her opponent, Missy admits "she looks a good fighter, so I can't let my guard down for a second in this fight, one mistake could be it for me"

With a confident smile she continues "I am the one she needs to beat though, my legacy speaks for itself and I loon forwards to adding to it with hopefully things like the hall of fame, so I am confident my hand will be raised" Missy leaving after nodding to Alicia.

Wallis now steps up to Alicia to speak, she is wearing a white shirt with black denim jeans and black heels, looking relaxed herself as she gives Alicia a hug before giving her thoughts.

"Here we are again, another FNL card with me on, getting closer to being in the main event of these" Wallis jokes as she laughs with Alicia on her record on these cards.

"On a serious note though I know I have another tough test in front of me, this is my eleventh fight and already I've overcome a few former champions around here, Missy is another tough hurdle for me to overcome" the English lass says as she gets serious.

Turning to Alicia, Wallis finishes by saying "I want to get a title shot this year and well Missy isn't going to be the one to stop me" shaking hands with Alicia before she heads off.

Fighting time; out comes Missy with coach Nicole Kidman beside her, both are smiling as they head down the aisle, fans chanting for Missy as she pumps her right fist into the air.

The Canadian fighter is wearing a red sports bra, matching trunks with "Peregrym" in gold letters on the waistband, red shoes and gloves, while her brunette hair is in a ponytail.

Getting into the ring, Missy waves to the fans as she heads over to her corner, Nicole telling her not to take the younger woman lightly as Missy goes through her warm up.

Out comes Wallis with her coach behind her, she is looking focused as she jogs down the aisle, banging her gloves together when she gets to the ring steps and shouting "come on!" To herself.

She is wearing a blue sports bra, union jack pattern trunks, blue shoes and red gloves, her blonde hair is tied into a small ponytail as she steps into the ring.

Bowing to each side of the ring, Wallis heads to her corner after looking square at her opponent, her coach telling her not to be worried about who she is fighting.

The crowd cheer as the fighters come together for the referees final instructions, the fighters lock eyes as their coaches massage their arms and shoulders to keep them loose for the fight.

Asked to touch up gloves, there's no incident as they bump gloves, returning to their corners ready to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Coming out their corners with both leading with their jab, circling up on their toes as they look for an angle to strike, Wallis looks to be the quicker on her feet as she moves side to side.

Stepping in with a jab/straight to the mouth of Missy, Wallis moves back as Missy throws a left cross, a small smile grows on Wallis's face as she is landing more punches cleanly then the veteran.

After the first minute Missy catches Wallis coming at her with a right cross, a double jab knocks back the head of the Brit to push her back a step.

Both fighters are stuffing straight punches into gaps in the others defences, Wallis gets clipped across her cheeks with two cross punches as Missy tries to quicken the pace.

An uppercut knocks back Missy as Wallis leans out the way of a left cross, a left hook turns the American's head, with Wallis knocking back Missy to the outside part of the ring.

Where she keeps Missy behind her guard in the final moments of the round, at the bell Wallis looks satisfied enough with her start, her coach telling her to try to throw more combos.

Round 2:
Bouncing on their toes as they come out their corner, Missy is quick to slip a straight to land a right to the abs, then a left hook to the ribs of the blonde to make her hiss out.

Trading on the inside; Missy is looking to rough up Wallis, with both landing to the body, Missy uses her left forearm to open up space to land an overhand right to the cheek.

Back to the outside of the ring goes Wallis, she lands several jabs to stop Missy pushing her back further, with Missy moving her upper body more to look for openings for her hooks.

With a right drilled into the abs of Wallis, Missy follows up with an overhand left to the cheek, she pressed back the younger fighter onto the ropes, landing hooks to the body before getting held by Day.

After being pulled apart, Wallis is able to keep back Missy with stiff jabs as she moves around the outside, the bell rings to end the round with Missy getting a thumbs up by Nicole for a strong round.

Round 3:
Looking fully warmed up now as they trade more combos, nearly bumping heads when they come in to throw hooks, they step back to reset with a grin on their faces.

Wallis lands a crisp double jab to the nose of Missy, stepping back when the brunette comes at her with two hooks, that seemed to get the attention of Peregrym as wipes her nose.

After the first minute where Wallis keeps Missy mostly at range, she gets hit with a right to her body, the overhand left just misses as Wallis leans out the way.

Looking to push back Wallis to the ropes, Missy leaves herself open to an uppercut on her chin, A LEFT HOOK SMACKS MISSY TO HER JAW TO SEND HER DOWN TO HER LEFT SIDE!

"Yes!" Yells Wallis as she jogs over to the neutral corner, 1...2...3.. Missy shakes her head as she gets to all fours, 4...5...6.. Getting up to a knee, Missy doesn't look too rocked, 7...8.. Looking like a flash knockdown as she nods at the referee that she is OK.

Continuing to fight, Wallis looks to get at Missy, with the veteran showing off her defensive skills to not take too many hits, both landing with punches to the others cheeks in the final seconds of the round.

At the conclusion of the round, the fighters jog back to their corners, Wallis grinning as that knockdown has giving her a big confidence boost, her coach patting her on her shoulder.

Round 4:
Getting more aggressive as she comes on the front foot, Wallis drills a jab/straight combo into the face of Missy, taking the ring center early on with multiple punches aimed at the head of the brunette, not all land though as Peregrym shows she still has a strong guard.

Bobbing and weaving the best she can with the ropes near her back, Missy is dodging some hard hooks coming towards her head, landing to the body of Wallis in reply to stop the blonde getting in her face.

Around the ring the move with Missy not being able to get away from those ropes, leading to a double jab/straight combo perfectly smacking her in her face, knocking her into a corner, where Wallis comes on the attack.

Mixing her punches up to stop Missy being able to dodge them so easily, Wallis ends up busting the lips of the American with a hard left hook, making Missy have to pull her into a clinch to stop the assault.

The referee splits them apart, with Missy getting herself into the center of the ring, when Wallis tries to keep the pressure on, she makes a mistake missing with a left hook, getting hit with a right on her abs and an overhand left for her troubles.

At the bell they hold back when going in for a punch, Wallis not looking too worried she hasn't been able to stop Missy, she is enjoying dominance over her these past few rounds though.

Round 5:
Sticking to being more aggressive, Wallis digs her punches through the mitts of Missy to her bloody lips, causing the brunette to wince with each clean hit as her gloves are getting stained in Peregrym's blood.

Coming in with a straight Wallis misses as Missy ducks down, a left hook hammers the ribs of the blonde before an uppercut comes up to knock back her head with sweat flying into the air.

Back comes Missy now as she roughs up Wallis with body shots, her head down towards the chin of Day, who is forced to shove her back to create a gap between them again.

Trading combos as they try to take the center of the ring, Wallis manages to cuff those bloody lips with her right glove, another two punches into the top of Missy's head sends her back a step.

With a minute to go Missy is finding herself being herded back along the ropes again, punches to her lips are stopping her rhythm as she focuses on her defence for now.

Seeing out the round as the bell rings, Wallis getting warned by her corner team to keep Missy from making a comeback, she nods as she knows she is in with a dangerous opponent.

Nicole meanwhile in the opposite corner is wiping Missy down as blood from her lips is dripping onto the brunette's boobs, Nicole telling her fighter to take her chances when they come, she needs to be smart about this.

Round 6:
Keeping her guard tight as she looks for a chance to make a comeback, Missy is needing to dodge the headhunting punches right away from her opponent.

The opening forty seconds sees Wallis stalk her around the ring, till the blonde thinks she has a chance at landing a right hook, it finds air as Missy leans out the way and counters with a left hook to the jaw of the Brit.

Who finds herself getting hit by three uppercuts from Missy, the American flipping the switch as she beats back Wallis now onto the ropes, the Krypton star needing to shield herself.

Nudging back Missy, Wallis comes firing back with a left/right straight into the face of Peregrym, pressing her back to the center with another straight as the confidence seems to be returning to Day.

Fighting at the center, both are letting their hands go as sweat goes flying into the air, Missy drilling a right into the nose of Wallis as she ducks a left cross, a left hook knocks back Day a step as Missy is coming hard at her.

Soon the round comes to a close with Missy taking a deep breath, a weight seems lifted off her shoulders as she gets a round on the board after being under wraps for the majority of the fight so far.

Round 7:
As they step back out their corners and start trading, there almost seems a nervous energy around Wallis, maybe the run of defeats she is on is affecting her, thinking about her punches more.

That is allowing Missy to counter more easily as she sees Wallis rearing back more, ducking a straight Missy comes up with an overhand right square on the chin of Wallis.

Whose legs are shaking for the first time, Wallis throwing more desperate punches, trying to get back at Missy, who picks her punches better to knock back the head.

Past the halfway point of the round, Wallis eats a jab on her lips then an uppercut knocks her head back, THE WOBBLE IN HER LEGS SHOWS SHE IS IN TROUBLE, A LEFT/RIGHT HOOK ON THE CHIN OF DAY SENDS HER DOWN TO HER BACK!

Nicole is yelling "that's it Missy!" As Missy pumps her right fist into the air, 1...2...3... Wallis is looking up at the ceiling with glassy eyes, 4...5...6... Blinking on her back as she has barely moved, 7...8... The Day fans are yelling at her to get up, 9...10 that is all she wrote though!

Winner Missy Peregrym KO Round 7

After:
An amazing comeback by Missy as she reminds the world why she is an elite fighter, she raises her arms into the air while her beaming smile shows how proud she is of this win.

Heading over to her corner, Missy gets a pat on her back from Nicole, who tells her "I told you that a chance would show itself, you are too good not to beat her" with Missy thanking Nicole for keeping her head in this fight when she could have easily given up.

All the while Wallis is helped up to a stool, a bitterly disappointed understandably after being in control of this fight for a long period, once the pressure come though she wilted as this bad run of results seems to be playing on her mind.

Her coach tries to console her as Wallis stares at the canvas, tears running down her face as the weight of defeat is on her shoulders.

Over comes Missy to check on the younger woman, praising her for putting her under so much trouble as Wallis nods her appreciation, leading to a hand shake between the two.

Wallis steps out the ring as her coach wants to be get checked on, though most at ringside believe they want to get her to the back so she can clear her head.

Inside the ring Missy gets her hand raised, her fans roaring for her as she blows them a kiss, Nicole hugging her from behind as she jokes "won't be long till you are our next hall of famer" making Missy grin.

After posing for the cameras with hands on her hips, proudly showing her fat lip, not long till she leaves the ring with her corner crew, a big win to get her on the right path back towards the title.
