Helena Mattsson vs Emmy Rossum
(Lookout! Atlantic Boxing vs Tech Unlimited Europe)
(13-7, 11 KO vs 3-4, 3 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: Helena Mattsson scored a big win over Elisabetta Canalis in May but needs more performances like that to become a viable threat for a divisional title in the foreseeable future. On the other hand Emmy Rossum remains one of the most underrated prospects around the league which makes BBU TV's Denise van Outen believe the New York native simply needs regular work to boost her status. However Mattsson is a tough opponent and while the Cardiff Arena audience shouldn't complain about this match-up, Rossum is hardly a genuine favorite tonight and might well regret her decision to accept Mattsson's challenge.

Helena Mattsson wears a light blue bikini set and yellow gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Emmy Rossum wears a black one-piece swimsuit and silver gloves. Long dark brown hair wrapped in a loose bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Emmy tries to upstage the blonde and jumps into a quick jabbing drill however Helena's guard withstands the early test and allows her to control the brunette's actions. Emmy refuses to change her attitude but becomes a little too predictable with the head-hunting approach and gets caught out when Mattsson delivers the overhand response. Both women trade punches in the middle of the ring but it's the blonde who displays supreme power and reels the American into a steady retreat. A couple of big hooks drop Rossum towards the ropes where she struggles to survives a late hooking assault that leaves Mattsson on top and perhaps stealing the round proper.

Round 2:
Another aggressive rush from the American leaves her bouncing off the high guard before a left hook tears into her mouth and half-spins her to the side. She's unable to embrace the blonde's midsection assault thereafter and Helena spikes her around the elbows to establish significant dominance in the ring. Rossum tries to weave herself out of danger but lacks outright mobility and gets backed into the ropes where she can only clinch the charging Swede. However Mattsson keeps drilling her to the body and shrugs off the stalemate attempt before clocking the American on both temples and making her moan in pain at the bell.

Round 3:
It's time for Mattsson to dominate the early action but Rossum reamins committed to the high-tempo assault. Denise van Outen thinks the American tourist ought to change her approach before it's too late and then it IS too late as the blonde WHACKS her with a left cross on the nose that staggers the brunette into immediate spasms. Ugh! Another wild hook catches the New Yorker on the jaw and she DROPS TO HER KNEES moments later. Ugh! Emmy's punching resistance got woefully exposed right there and despite a quick recovery at five, she struggles to embrace the Swedish assault afterwards. Helena's eyes light up and she beats the aching brunette to the ropes where she sends more punishing shots below the elbows to sink Emmy into loud spasms before one hook too many tears a patch under the left eye and leaves the American barely hanging on when the clock effectively rescues her from a looming disaster!

Round 4:
Helena charges up through the middle and connects with Emmy's jaw to spin the aching tourist back to the ropes. The American abandons her escape plans and soaks up more punishment which proves lethal to her victory chances here... Helena rocks her head back & forth while getting vocal in the process before a belting shot on the solar plexus folds Rossum into a vicious uppercut on the jaw. Ugh! It's too much for the aching American WHO COLLAPSES DOWN IN THE CORNER and this time she doesn't respond to the count until it reaches seven. She tries to help herself by grabbing the ropes but still kneels down when the ref yells out "Ten!" to count her OUT!!! KO4 Helena Mattsson!!!

AFTER: Helena is a very dangerous fighter once she picks up some steam and regular work can truly boost her status into elite level again. Gal Gadot and Georgia Salpa have hi-jacked the blonde's internal chances lately but she's back in the groove and grabs a stunned Rossum by the hair to deliver a short Walk of Shame while the Cardiff audience cheers her on for three laps around the ring. She then shoves the American back onto her knees and blows kisses to the camera before manager Nicole Richie finally drags her away. The Lookout! Atlantic crew remains silent on their lightweight title ambitions following Helena's outing but Denise van Outen vows to keep digging for more details in the upcoming week. You simply can't ignore a blonde asset like Mattsson whenever she begins to rack up the wins again!

Final result: Helena Mattsson def. Emmy Rossum KO4.
