ASHLEY BENSON VS TIFFANY MULHERON

Tiffany: 33 YO, 5’4 (1.63 m), BBU: 14-7-0, 12 KO since 2011, Foxfire Atlantic Boxing

Before: “I am glad to be back here in the UK,” says Ashley Benson, “some of my earliest celebrity fights were here and I did pretty well. They were a big confidence builder for when I got back home. Now I get to fight one of the BBU’s top flyweights and I couldn’t be happier. I just love fighting English girls.”

“I am a Scot,” Tiffany Mulheron corrects the blonde, “though I appreciate your realizing I am one of the best of the BBU flyweights.”

“Oh, sorry, you’re like Mary, Queen of Scots, right? You know the one Elizabeth the First had beheaded ‘cause she wanted to be Queen of England too. Don’t you wish they had just had a boxing match to decide it. Wouldn’t that have been really cool?” Ashley chatters brightly.

“I would prefer to concentrate on beating you, Ms. Benson,” Tiffany says coolly.

“Oh. Well, okay, but I got to tell you Tiffy, I don’t beat that easily. You have your work cut out for you fighting me,” Ashley said cheerfully.

“I am sure I do, but I will find a way to win,” Tiffany replied with equal assurance.

Come the night of their fight, Ashley is accompanied by PLP General Manager Danielle Harris, who has been her trainer for the occasion.  Ashley is wearing a sizzling red one piece swimsuit with white gloves and boots (red laces). She has her hair in a pigtail.

Tiffany has FAB trainer Sophie Myles in her corner. She is in a leopard print on white bikini with black gloves and boots with white laces. Her hair is pulled back in a French braid. Ring instructions proceed normally. Gloves are tapped. Fighters to their corners. The bell rings.

R1:  Both fighters aggressive and eager to get to close. Ashley and Tiffany out quickly and start moving in on each other at mid ring. Rapid-fire punching mainly to the body in the early actiob. Fighters start circling a bit, but are still close and then Ashley makes a move, striking Tiffany hard into the breasts. Tiffany hooks Ashley’s breasts, but then Ashley startles Tiffany with an overhand right that catches the Scotch flyweight smack on the mouth. Ashley quickly brings a left to strike hard at Tiffany’s jaw. Tiffany drops back and fires away with her jab in an effort to keep Ashley from following up. Ashley trying to press in gets smacked up hard to the forehead and eyebrows. Falls back and goes for Tiffany’s stomach deep, digging hooks. Tiffany hunching up but still using the jab.  Ashley not forcing her way in as the bell sounds. Close round, but judges gives it to Ashley Benson.

R2: Tiffany choosing to strike at a distance this round and Ashley is struck hard to the head when she tries to get closer. Vexed, Ashley starts circling, looking for an opening, but Tiffany moving with her and finding some openings herself. Tiffany works Ashley’s breasts with stinging regularity. Ashley seems to have enough of these tactics comes charging in with churning hooks to the body. Tiffany rocked back on her heels, but steadies herself uses the jab to discourage the American blonde by leaving her face badly bruised and swollen. Ashley trying to resist, but then gets smacked on the chin and that causes her to fall back as the bell rings. Another close round but Tiffant Mulheron wins this one.

R3: Ashley Benson is stubborn she continues to try to charge forward, but Tiffany is able to keep her at a distance with strikes that have the California’s face all swollen and reddening. Ashley finally seems to lose steam and then Tiffany moves to the attack. Tiffany first working the body with swiping crisscross punching across the torso, then with hooks that dig in and have Ashley gasping for air as she stumbles back. Tiffany then shifting to swat at Ashley’s head with rights and lefts that bounce home. Ashley covering up and trying to get some breathing space. Tiffany trying to maintain the pressure as she pursues Ashley around the ring. Bell sounds to end a very nice round for the FAB fighter who wins this round wide.

R4: Ashley showing more movement this round as she bobs and weaves while circling. Even more impressively, Ashley is striking Tiffany to the head steady regularity. Tiffany trying to evade these punches while countering with her own leather, but Ashley suddenly more elusive this round. BOP! BOP! BOP! Ashley catches Tiffany on the chin with three quick uppercuts and Tiffany’s legs are shivering. Tiffany backing out of there, using jab to keep Ashley from getting too close, but Ashley doing a good job with the footwork as Tiffany is kept off balance and allowing Ashley to pound her opponent to the body. Tiffany breathing hard and dripping seat at the bell. Ashley Benson wins this round wide.

R5:  Now Tiffany  tries to come back by being the one to press to fight in close. Ashley still using her movement to make this difficult for Tiffany. Tiffany won’t quit trying to force her way in, trying to break Ashley down, but Ashley banging her up hard to the body as she tries. Then Tiffany goes to Ashley’s juggs with some pounding hooks. Ashley’s jaw muscles tense as she bites down on her mouthpiece to fight the pain in her boobies. Then Ashley strikes back with a whipping right to the jaw and a crashing left to the chin. Tiffany stops in frozen shock and Ashley then pours uppercuts into Tiffany’s and tops it off with a shattering right to the jaw. TIFFANY GOES DOWN! Tiffany keels over to land hard on her side and roll onto her back, arms at her sides. Her eyelids flutter. Ashley quickly to the neutral corner and the referee moves in. Tiffany moving her knees and legs, but that’s all she can manage.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...;TEN!... YOU”RE OUT!”

THE WINNER: ASHLEY BENSON OF THE PRETTY LITTLE PUNCHERS DEFEATS TIFFANY MULHERON OF FOXFIRE ATLANTIC BOXING KO5!

After: “I didn’t much appreciate the boob punching, but I gave as good as I got,” Ashley Benson tells press after the fight. “The important thing was Dani Harris telling me I needed to move more so I was less of a target for Tiffany. Then I just waited for my openings and wore her down. Frankly, I think rushing me in the 5th was a tactical mistake. I did too much damage to her to make it pay. I enjoyed fighting her—of course I can say that since I did knock her out.”

Tiffany not appreciating Ashley’s analysis of her fight skills: “She was a slippery one tonight. I think I think rushing her in the 5th was the right counter—it just didn’t work this time. Sher’s a feisty one, but she talks too much. I hope there’s someone over here who can shut down her chirping.”

How long will this visit last, Ms Benson, she is eventually asked. Ashley smiles: “Why leave when you’re winning? Still, I’ll have to talk it over with Dani Harris.”

Lively contest tonight. Both fighters had their chances, but Ashley Benson seemed to be the more mobile and hard fighting boxer tonight. Undoubtedly a disappointment for Tiffany Mulheron and she’ll be wanting to come back strongly in her next time out. As for Ashley Benson in the BBU—that’s still an open question.
