(Double A Boxing vs Team Canada)

Intro:
A battle of former bantamweight champions here as Una Healy and Erica Cerra in the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
Una is 36 years old; she stands 5'7 and holds a record of 24 wins, 18 by knockout and 12 defeats, she is a former 2 time BBU bantamweight champion.
Erica is 38 years old; she stands 5'5 and holds a record of 6 wins, 4 by knockout, 7 defeats with 1 draw, she is a former BBU bantamweight champion.

Both were interviewed on the BBU TV network by Denise Van Outen, with Una the first to speak with her as she is asked about coming back after 2 defeats.
"Listen I have no excuses; Lea (Seydoux) and Vera (Brezhneva) were both better then me on the night and it has given me the motivation to get back hard into the gym as my run of wins I had before those fights might have made over confident"
When asked about Erica, Una quickly replies "I honestly couldn't believe I have never fought her before, we have both been at the top of the mountain, but I am confident I can knock her out and start getting back into title contention"
Erica meanwhile has a big smile on her face as she is asked about Una, answering "Una is someone I have had on my list for awhile, it just never happened for whatever reason, of course I can't wait to show her whose boss"
She is asked about future plans, chuckling as she replies "I just want that belt with diamonds and gold on around my waist again, I know I am not getting younger, I know though I can do it with a good run of wins like this"

Fight night; out comes Una first with Amy Nuttall working her corner tonight, she looks at the crowd and nods at them, she looks mostly focused on the fight ahead as she heads to the ring.
She is wearing an emerald coloured sports bra, matching trunks with "Healy" in orange on her waistband, green gloves with orange thumbs and green shoes, her red hair is in a ponytail.
Climbing into the ring; Una jogs over to her corner, just wanting to get this on as she paces in her corner, Amy giving her a pep talk as she warms up.
Out comes Erica now with her coach Keri Matchett, Erica nods as Keri is telling her what she is going to do to Una as they walk down to the ring.
Her attire tonight is a red sports bra, white trunks with red stripes, white gloves with red thumbs and red shoes, her brunette hair is braided.
Getting into the ring; Erica smiles as she heads to her corner, looking confident as her as Keri drills her on her warm up.
The fighters are brought to the ring centre, where they both have a cocky grin on their faces and when asked to touch gloves, they do so respectfully.
Once back in their corners and getting their gumshields in, both get a hug from their coach and once they leave the ring, it is time for 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Both fighters up on their toes early; circling and looking to find gaps in their opponents guard with their jabs, Una landing the cleaner shots though down to her extra reach.
Erica realising she needs to up the tempo, stepping on the inside agree slipping under a straight, the Canadian landing to the body of her opponent.
With Erica moving her way out the way of a right hook, countering with a straight off the lips of Una as she starts to take control of the action with her speed.
But as Erica tries to come inside; Una catches her after stepping back with a double jab to her face, then lands a right hook that knocks Cerra back.
Una coming on strong late in the round as she forces Erica around the outside of the ring, with the bell ringing to end the round with both women nodding at each other as they head to their corners.

Round 2:
Erica looks to push the pace early; bobbing and weaving to dodge Una's punches, before getting inside to work the body of Una.
The Canadian actress controlling the action, Una finding it hard to find to catch Erica cleanly, mostly landing clipping punches to the top of Cerra.
A missed right goes over the head of Erica; who lands an uppercut that knocks Una back onto her heels and behind her guard.
With Erica driving Una back onto the ropes; slamming her punches into the sides of the Irish lasses body, till she gets clinched up by Healy.
The referee steps in to break the fighters apart, with Erica looking to keep on the front foot, but Una catches her with a jab and straight combo to push Erica back.
The late part of the round sees Una finally getting some rhythm going as both women trade single punches, with Una keeping Erica back on at range.
The round ends with Erica looking happy with that round, Keri praising her as she washes her down, while Una has Amy telling her to step up her game.

Round 3:
Una looks to box off the back foot; with Erica looking to keep the pressure on her opponent but is finding herself being hit on her face through her gloves.
Erica does manage to slip under a jab to get inside, both fighters going for each other hard as they slug it out, the crowd roaring them on as they work away.
The actress looks to be winning these inside exchanges with her head down and working the body of Healy to force her to step back.
But as Erica looks to drive forwards; Una nudging her back with a left to her face and lands a right across the cheek of Cerra to knock her back.
With her range restored, Una landing her punches through the mitts of Erica as she shows off her footwork to keep Erica on the outside.
When Erica tries to dip down; Una lands a double jab to the top of her head, making her step back; where Una takes a step forward with a straight that knocks her opponent's head back.
Erica finding herself being driven around the ring near the ropes as she is trying to cover up, Una changing up her targets to make it hard for Erica to protect herself.
With the bell ringing to end the round; the Double A camp looks happier as Una returns to her corner, Una though knows she has to keep growing into this fight or risk Erica getting back control of the fight.

Round 4:
Erica looks to get into the face of Una early; that leads to both trading in close range as their heads rub together and they work away at the others body.
Una surprises Erica by quickly stepping back, then landing a stiff double jab to the nose of the Canadian actress to make her groan out.
That gives Una the opening she wants as she circles around Erica, using piston like punches to hammer the head of the smaller fighter back.
Erica is able to get inside to work, but for the most part it is Una controlling the pace and keeping her back on the outside.
A missed right to the body of Una as she sidesteps Erica allows her to crack her across the chin with a left hook, THAT WOBBLES THE LEGS OF CERRA AND UNA LANDS ANOTHER HARD THREE PUNCH COMBO STRAIGHT INTO HER FACE, FORCING ERICA TO TAKE A KNEE!
Blood is running from the nose of Erica as the referee stands over her and counts, 1....2...3...4 Erica wiping her nose with the back of her glove, looking pissed off to have had to take a knee, 5...6...7 Erica shakes her head and begins to rise to beat the count at 8.
The reminder of the round sees Erica on the defensive; Una not rushing to get into her face, just working behind her jab and straights to keep Erica back.
The round ends with Erica heading back to her corner with a dark cloud above her head, fuming at herself for such a bad round, something Keri tells her to forget as stops her nose bleeding.
While Amy washes down Una, who chats away to her about how she should try to end this, Una not taking Erica lightly.

Round 5:
As the fighters come out; Erica doesn't look as keen to rush in tight, with Una measuring up Erica with her jab, most finding their way to the nose of the Canadian.
When Erica tries to get inside; Una lands a left to the top of her head to knock it back and then follows with an uppercut to knock Erica back.
As Erica moves back; Una follows her in and starts hammering her head with a flurry of punches that has Erica's legs wobbling again.
Erica desperately swings a right hook that finds thin air as Una spots it a mile off and steps back, A STRAIGHT LANDS ON THE BLOODY NOSE OF ERICA AND FOLLOWS WITH A LEFT HOOK ACROSS THE CHIN OF ERICA TO PUT HER DOWN TO HER SIDE!
Una smiles as she heads to a neutral corner, 1....2...3...4 Erica shaking her head as she tries to sit up, 5...6 but as she tries to push herself up, she slips and falls back to her back, 7...8...9...10 ending with Erica being counted out!

Winner Una Healy KO Round 5

After:
A big win for Una tonight to get her back in the win column, something that has Una beaming as she raises her arms in the air.
Before Una jogs to her corner and hugs Amy, with a few tears visible in her eyes after a lean period in the past year.
While Erica is helped up to her stool by Keri; her nose and face is cleaned up as she starts to come around from the knockout.
As soon as both women are ready; they are brought to the ring center for the result to be announced, Erica showing great sportswomanship to offer a hand shake to Una, who smiles as she accepts it.
Then Una gets her hand raised by the referee to a loud cheer, she wipes a few tears of joy away and waves to the fans.
Erica meanwhile leaves the ring to let Una have her moment, Keri telling Erica that tonight was tough but plenty of better nights ahead.
Una goes over to Amy and thanks her for her help, both embracing before they leave the ring not long after, a smile on both their faces as they hope tonight is a sign that things are getting better for Una going forwards.
