BEFORE: Black Eagle Boxing owner/trainer Gina Wild is no stranger to swing for the fences sometimes and she's booked a curious match-up between her otherwise struggling flyweight Sandy Moelling and Romanian Inna here in Dusseldorf tonight. This stadium has seen the Tyson Fury upset glory before but it's all about dragging the former No Angels singer out of a heavy slump that leaves her with just a single win from her last six bouts.

Meanwhile Inna hasn't set the BBU world on fire lately either but she comes off a tough test against championship hopeful Ivana Baquero and shows plenty of confidence when talking to Georgie Thompson: "Obviously Sandy has the crowd behind her but that doesn't bother me! I'm still gonna f### her up and crush all these poor Germans souls tonight!" (laughs).

Sandy and her entourage keep it strictly business but if looks could kill, the Romanian foe would have been buried six feet under long before the opening bell. Black Eagles designated flyweight leader Collien Fernandes has refused to make the trip to the Ruhr district so close friend - and Lioness Club member - Jeanette Biedermann acts as Sandy's ringside mentor and cutwoman at the same time.

Sandy Moelling wears a black sports bra with white trim, matching hotpants and red gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Inna wears a red one-piece swimsuit with black trim and yellow gloves. Long black hair tied in a high ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Both girls seek early dominance but Inna's punches makes the difference as she rattles the blonde upstairs and smacks her from both flanks to draw immediate reaction from the audience. She snaps Sandy's head back repeatedly and drives her back but the local favorite avoids getting trapped on the ropes and manages to land a somewhat lucky overhand to halt the Romanian charge. However Inna is quick to pounce on her opportunity and keeps outworking the older singer as we move back towards center of the ring. Sandy begins to land more punches come the final minute but Inna's guard keeps her at bay before a belting hook on the liver area makes Moelling groan in pain right at the bell and it's been a tough opener here for the hosts so no wonder coach Gina Wild isn't best pleased about it.

Round 2:
Inna jumps into another jabbing rally and simply lands too many clean punches for Sandy to even stick her foot in the door. She drops back into defensive circles when she eats too much juice but the brunette is all over her regardless and traps her in the corner where she keeps dissecting the otherwise suspicious guard. Ugh! Sandy tries to land some desperate shots amid the Romanian storm but comes up well short and when Inna switches down to punish the exposed midsection, she simply buries the blonde on shaky knees and silences the partisan Dusseldorf audience. Only the bell halts her charge but she still delivers a couple of punches extra and has to be dragged away by the referee.

Round 3:
Both girls exchange lethal eyeballs ahead of the third but Inna's uptempo attack allows her to stay on top of the action and she keeps picking the older singer off to the point Sandy's moans are getting louder and louder. A quick hook to the body cripples her to the side and she doesn't have enough speed to fend off a left/right combo that tags her on the jaw and sends into a fish-tailing disaster. She desperately tries to avoid going down but Inna blasts her with a quick cross on the nose followed by a laser hook on the left temple AND DOWN GOES MOELLING!!! It's another bitter pill for Gina Wild to swallow here and Sandy's recovery isn't of the highest order either. She eventually gets up at seven but remains under sustained attacks from the slightly arrogant brunette. Inna gets vocal in her pursuit of the German foe and while she pounds the cumbersome woman back to the ropes, she gets erratic with her head shots instead of perhaps focusing on the action downstairs. Sandy manages to clinch her late and extend the action but it's been a Romanian rout up until now so you can't blame the audience for the jeering the hell out of this lacklustre Eagles display.

Round 4:
Sandy just doesn't have the agility to keep Inna away in mid-range and simply has to accept the slugging adventure even though the younger girl begins to carve bruises in numbers when she connects with the blonde's face early in the fourth. Moelling lands some hooks from behind the guard but Inna keeps coming back and snaps the blonde ponytail back & forth before the local favorite channels the hectic escape. Inna fails to find her range during the second minute but she has the other girl spooked and not offering much back which aids her predator cause. She finally catches up with the gassing out Sandy come the final stretch but eats a quick double drive on the mouth that wobbles her forward and allows the blonde to salvage some pride in a gut-checking rally that continues until the bell.

Round 5:
Inna remains the more agile of the two but bounces off the high guard too often to make the difference and gets whacked on the liver area herself when Sandy jumps into a slightly surprising offensive display during the opening minute. The German singer has fallen so far back on the cards she simply has to do something not to put her spot on the Eagles roster in grave danger and she manages to outwork the brunette in close range with a belting hook on the liver sending Inna back to think better off it. Both girls circle around each other for a while but Inna eventually blinks first, she walks into a nasty hook on the nose though and Moelling doubles up with an uppercut stinger that spins the Romanian to the side. A heavy right hand follows through and catches the younger singer on the lips so Sandy drives her back to the ropes with a late push and finally lets the crowd ride the high wave. Inna fails to escape the heat and locks a predictable clinch but Georgie Thompson reckons she'll have to forget about that dominant start and find a new spark if she doesn't want to drag this contest into a decision.

Round 6:
The Eagles camp is fired up as we enter the second half of this fight but Inna's short-fuse comes crashing down on Moelling early in the sixth; the brunette wants to regain the dominant position and definitely has the tools to do it - she smacks the blonde straight up and even clips her rack for a good measure but then pivots to the outside and Sandy hauls in a right-on-right that squashes the Romanian's lips. Inna yelps out in pain and for once gets stuck on her heels while Moelling NAILS her with a power hook on the nose that wobbles her opponent forward with a loud whimper. Ugh! Inna tries to apply another clinch but misses her target and eats another uppercut on the jaw before Sandy drills her to the body and cripples into spasms! Uh-oh! She misfires on the turn but then catches Inna high and straight on the left temple TO DROP THE TOURIST ONTO HER KNEES!! That truly gets the Dusseldorf crowd going and even Gina Wild hugs Jeanette Biedermann like they never shared a rocky past over in the Lioness Club. Clock works against Sandy here and Inna takes it all the way to the eight count; she the drops back to the ropes thereafter and survives a desperate German push but she doesn't send that lethal look at her nemesis at the bell anymore while Sandy makes that familiar throat-slit gesture and Georgie Thompson thinks we're back to square one here with anything still possible!

Round 7:
Sandy wants to cash in on that knockdown and literally runs across the ring to resume the Romanian stalking but Inna bets on the turn with jack high according to Georgie Thompson in the booth and signs for the slugging war of attrition which is what any BBU fan loves to see but it's still a very dangerous tactics given the suspicius punching resistance at this stage of the fight. Whatever, it's a proper flyweight dust-up in the making and Sandy pierces the brunette's high guard to add more swelling on the lips while Inna goes for the air raid and tags both temples before going downstairs. However she jars her left hand against the hip and has to bunny hop the side to find her range again and this is when Moelling DRILLS her solar plexus off a left hook. Ugh! Inna wobbles forward with another whimper and gets caught on the flush with a hook on the jaw... AND DOWN SHE GOES AGAIN!!! Inna crashes down on her knees and the shot on the solar plexus actually proves to be the one she struggles to embrace. She takes it all the way to the eight again before making a slow recovery and while the ref gives her a really long look in the eye, we eventually resume the action. Sandy's quick to pounce on the visibly wounded foe and takes full advantage of Inna's slumped guard, she hauls in more crisp shot on each temple before stuffing the aching brunette with another hook on the chest. Inna doesn't have enough in the tank to even lock another clinch and basically wobbles into a double uppercut connection that bellows her out onto the ropes with eyes closed. AND THE REF STEPS IN with 13 seconds remaining on the clock in the seventh. There was a slight chance Inna survives this late push but she's too banged up to contest the decision and slides down onto her backside while the local favorite can celebrate a hard-earned success! TKO7 Sandy Moelling!!!

AFTER: It's been a long time coming for the Wuppertal native who last saw her hand raised in the air back in April 2016! She's lost the Black Eagle flyweight leadership to Collien Fernandes in the so-called meantime and Georgie Thompson remains coy on her potential comeback aspirations. A solid journeywoman career might be Sandy's high-water mark going forward but the blonde singer is simply too satisfied with tonight's result to claim outright superiority over her peers. When Jeanette Biedermann grabs Inna by the hair and parades her around the ring it's like the icing for the cake for the German audience that seeks a proper heir to Jessica Schwarz's Hall of Fame benchmark. Or perhaps it's still the World Cup fiasco hangover that needs to be treated with even the smallest dose of sporting success?
