TESS VALMORE
Is there something wrong here? Before the rounds of February PPVs, I was 1198-338 in predicting. In the February PPVs, I went 37-3, including 23-3 in the main PPV. In the past a 65% correct rate was considered excellent. I am now at 80% Let’s concede that I am not nearly the smartest person in the room, so why are fights getting so easy to predict? I shall say more later in the week.
All four champions were in action although only three titles were at risk. Megan Fox won her sixteenth straight bout in a non-title fight. Chloe Bennet successfully defender her title against Robbie. The other two champions were not as lucky as Yvonne Strahovski won her fourth Unified Lightweight title win a KO of Kendall Jenner and Tahnee Atkinson took the Unified Welter title from Hannah Ferguson
Of the 30 conventional bouts of the card only five were welter bouts and one dragged GLN back into the ring as a sacrificial lamb for Upton and one featured a lightweight. Poor MIss Ginny. She decided to push Lawrence into the welters despite Lawrence’s recent problems at lightweight. Lawrence’s opponent, who had only five fights, doesn’t enter ring as a welter, she enters as a lightweight. Only in Miss Ginny’s mind can a fighter enter the welter class by fighting a lightweight. Tailor came into ring at officially 127 even then ti the bout didn’t turn out wll for Lawrence . Obviously my relationship with Chimera is on a war footing. McMahon wanted to drag me into the parking lot after the fight. Good thing cooler heads prevailed. McMahon would have been delayed in coming back by a sudden trip to the emergency room and I would have been in jail for beating up a senior citizen
Katy Perry’s entry to the welters was surprisingly successful and I must compliment Rhoda on her good sportsmanship post fight comments
As Yvonne Strahovski’s views her new kingdom, who is staring her in the face? None other than her old nemesis, Mary Elizabeth Winstead who KOed Boxing World’s number seven lightweight in Torv. Winstead, however, had a recent title shot as has Swift and Kerr. That seems to leave Ambrosio as the next viable candidate for a title match.
As usual there is no shortage of potential title shot contenders in the bantams. Kosarin won her eighth straight, Scodelario won her eleventh out of her last thirteen and Claire Holt scored a big win over Munn. Holt probably needs to show more consistency before being considered for a title shot
Megan Fox’s long winning streak has seemingly eliminated some top flyweights for a title bout. It seems to me that Henstridge who has won twelve of her last thirteen and Lilly Collins, who has won eleven of her last thirteen are viable candidates.
Congratulations to Adelaide Kane who broke a ten fight losing steak by beating Lauren Mayberry. I award Mayberry “I was KOed by Kane” T-shirt. Wear it proudly Lauren.
