TESS VALMORE

This was the PPV I have been waiting for. I went 11-10 which is the worst record I have ever had. I take that to mean the bouts are more competitive. That I like. It’s more fun when the predictions are not obvious wins, no matter what my prediction record may be.

Megan Fox continues to amaze me. Here is a fighter who one and half years ago had a losing record Now she has scored seventeen straight wins, won and defended the title seven times and did it against some strong competition. I can’t see this going on, but I have said that more than a couple times to my regret. She won’t lack for opponents. Both Michelle Williams and Claire Danes let it be known that they are out there.

T Atkinson defended her title by KOing Righetti in great fight that featured an eighth and final round when both went down.

There were results that I considered upsets:

1. Kosarin was well on her way to getting a title shot, however, Lilly who had been on the down side put a dent in that, KOing Kosarin in another eighth round that saw both do down.

2. While there wasn’t much difference in the welter rankings I didn’t give Krsmanovic much of a chance against Rhoda. I thought there a was a significant drop in talent between the two. I was wrong as Krsmanovic flattened Rhoda.

3. Rohrbach/Yustman was a surprise to me. Rohrbach is in the top ten and Yustman is out because of inactivity, but I really didn’t think Rohrbach could beat Yustman.

There was one rookie on the card and she won her first FCBA bout,  Reinhart punched out Benoist in her successful debut.

Winnick got back on track beating Scherzinger. I think that makes Winnick 3 Tractorpull 1. I have to start taking her seriously.

Two fighters that lost and I think are nearing the end. Scarlett Johansson didn’t fight last year and now has lost five straight. She is only 33, but the inactivity has seemingly hurt her. I know she is on the USA team for the International Cup. We shall see how she does. Olivia Munn is 36 and has lost her last four. She hasn’t had a good year since 2014. I don’t mean that they may not be competitive, but their winning days are over.

Of the 26 bouts there was only one that was obvious as to who was going to win. Why Stefani who is 49 and never won a fight was scheduled to fight Cyrus perplexes me. I’m sure someone will justify this bout other than “I just wanted to see this fight”

One item I must mention and don’t comment on them enough is the Dollhouse posters that were sprinkled throughout the PPV’s and Dollhouse Cards. They are a great addition and must take a considerable amount of time. I’m sure the entire board enjoys them.
