TESS VALMORE

Levy won the bout with Wu, however was not overly impressive in doing so. She won by a sixth round KO, but up to that point was behind on the cards and never had the lead.

The Hyland/Winter fight lasted about seven minutes, which was a little less than I had anticipated. It was Winter’s seventh straight win.

Vergara had a good first round, but no one expected her to win. She didn’t. She got to the fifth round and no further.

I didn’t see much of the Driver fight. I was talking to Cassie and looked away for a moment and the fight was over.   Fan’s didn’t much for their money. The fight lasted about a minute.

Concerning the Perry bout, Mr. V an I don’t seem to agree on much, but we sang the same tune here. The fight lasted less than five minute with Perry walking away with a KO to add to her record.

Rhone Mitra was on the card which was no surprise. This was Mitra’s sixth appearance. Of course, she lost the previous five and was on an eight fight losing streak. You can make that nine now since she got KOed by Arterton in the seventh. I have posted several times that Mitra who is now close to 42 be retired.   I wonder who she is going to fight in the future. She has now lost to every Front Street lightweight. Will we now go through a series of rematches or will she be moved up to fight the two welters? Of course, there are the bantams. How long are the Wiz and Pointy going o pretend that Mitra is competitive against Front Street? My BFF wasn’t too happy when I recently indicated the whole Bazz lightweight contingent, whose job it is to serve Front Street, needed to go. So far, I haven’t been proved wrong.

For those paying attention to streaks. Dennings has now gone fourteen fights without a loss.
