Another rematch on the cards tonight as Luisana Lopilato goes up again against ex-Odds and Ends darling, Ashley Greene. In May of last year, Greene fought one of her last matches under the banner of her former stable when she knocked Luisana out in six rounds. Perhaps it’s no surprise then that Ms Lopilato has issued yet another challenge at this point of time when Greene’s facing an existential crisis of sorts, having lost four fights in a row since the end of 2019.

“Hmph. Everyone’s been underestimating me at this point. Just because I don’t have the backing of a stable doesn’t mean I can’t kick your ass again, Luisa,” Greene says smugly from her end of the press table. “Nothing’s changed. You’re still gonna end up as putty in my hands by the end of tonight.”

Luisa looks slightly nervous from the other side of the room, and rightly so, with Greene’s power-packing punches having proven to be decisive factors in her loss a year ago, and stable or not, she’ll still need to find a way to adapt to her opponent’s tactics tonight.

“It’s clear that something’s gone wrong with Greene, and the only one who refuses to admit it is Greene herself. Just look at her fight record after getting dropped like a grenade by her stable... I’ve learned a lot since the last time we fought, so I’m coming into this contest as confident as I’ll ever be that I can win.”

Greene turns her nose up at the blonde when the two of them meet at the podium, and it ain’t just because of their one-inch height differential. It’s clear that these two still have beef with each other as they pose for the cameras a little too close for comfort, in danger of shoving hands out of the way or full on sending slaps into each other’s faces but thankfully, nothing else happens for the rest of the staredown, just the smoldering tension as both women return backstage for their final prep.

24 hours later, Luisana enters the arena first dressed in her classic laced-bra and briefs coloured royal blue, and a pair of white gloves on either hand. Her dark blonde hair is braided neatly out back. Greene goes for a pink sports bra top and zebra-striped leggings for bottoms. She waves red gloves to the audience as her name is announced. Finally in the ring, the referee calls this fight to order. The two women don’t even bother touching gloves and the opening bell can’t ring fast enough! HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Wild slugging action takes place early on as these two clearly have unfinished business they need to get off their chests. Luisana shows some uncharacteristic aggression of her own as she opens the action with a side-sweeping stunner direct to Ashley’s arms, with Greene barely putting up her guard to block that one before it landed hard. Ashley immediately gets put on the defensive, goes scurrying about the ring whilst trying to find a clear opening to whack the blonde back in the face. Luisana’s definitely eating some jabs to her lips along the way over to her foe, but the exchange almost always ends with a stunner of a straight hand to Ashley’s chin, sending the brunette spiraling off to rinse and repeat. Nice opening salvo from the Vixen, who clearly wants some payback tonight and is not afraid of putting herself in there to get it.

ROUND 2:
More of the same action but Luisana’s also mixing up her shots with a combination of jabs and cross-hands to Greene’s body, giving her opponent a run for her money now that she’s out of a job and without a stable to call home. Ashley exerts some of her own power mid-round, sending a hook rattling into Luisa’s guard but doing little else to dissuade the blonde from closing ranks constantly and putting pressure on her position. Luisa gets in range soon enough and fires back with a right glove dug into her side tummy, then a quick flurry of uppercuts chopping into the brunette’s guard, Luisa aiming for her foe’s head and making it even more dangerous for Greene to go back on the attack. End of the round and things are certainly looking up for Lopilato if she manages to keep her momentum going.

ROUND 3:
Not so in the third round, however, as Ashley puts her foot down in the sand and the two women engage in a wild free-for-all for a good chunk of the opening minute. Stiff swipes land across each girl’s face are accompanied by mutual grunts from lips as neither girl is willing to back down. Greene lets out a huffing shout as she sends leather pumping into Luisa’s tummy at close range, thinking Luisa’s soft nature might also translate into the rest of her physicality as well. Lopilato left grunting from the invasive blow, her body jerking about repeatedly, but that fire in her heart just too big to go out easily. The Vixen snaps a left hand clean across Ashley’s chest as payback, disrupting a follow-up swing from her. Then, she staggers the actress with an uppercut rocking the chin, which has Greene flying backwards into the ropes! Luckily, they cushion Greene’s fall-back, but she’s left covering up as Luisa charges after her, a couple more shots to her abs sent in before the referee gets in between them at the bell.

ROUND 4:
Luisa looks sharp but a little tired as she enters the fourth, chasing Greene once again to the ropes by pawing at her head with jabs, but Greene senses her foe’s hesitation and lets rip a right cross of her own straight into the blonde’s face when she wasn’t paying attention, bunching up Luisa’s cheek with an hnggh! Luisa’s suddenly in trouble as more jabs smack into her nose and lips in quick succession, beating her backwards without her consent. Greene caught smirking behind her gloves - this is exactly how their previous fight unfolded as she takes her time slapping gloves into the blonde’s pretty features, till Luisa finally gets TAKEN off her feet by a hard right hook to the jawline! UGH!! It’s another KNOCKDOWN for Ashley Greene as the Twilight actress shows off her power and comeback skills! Greene simply walking over Luisa’s squirming body as she heads back to neutral corner, whilst Luisa is left groaning on her side, slowly pushing her chest off the ground and making her way back to her feet. A painful lesson indeed, now learnt twice as the Vixen manages to recover by the count of 8. This fight has turned itself on its head, that’s for sure, with Ashley already celebrating prematurely at the prospect of winning.

ROUND 5:
Here comes Greene, looking to mop up her opponent in time for tea! She initiates the attack, slamming punches into Luisa’s guard, hoping to break Luisana’s defences before going in for the kill. But Luisa still tough as nails despite her angelic demeanor, holds onto her marbles as she leads Ashley backwards across the ring, all the while absorbing the abuse until she sees a fast opening and JAMS in her left hand into Greene’s visage! Whapp! Ashley didn’t see that coming, that’s for sure, as she wobbles a little on the spot but then immediately resumes her charge forward. Luisa however uses her footwork and spatial awareness to keep her back away from the ropes, another left-right dodge to avoid Ashley’s jabs before the Vixen plants more leather into the face. This time, Greene gets stopped completely in her tracks, her head sent swimming on the spot from a couple of stiff blows up into her nostrils, which allows Lopilato to stamp her lead foot in and FLOOR the poor brunette with a clothesline shot to the chin!! OUCH!! Ashley gets WHIPPED off her feet and sent down into the ground in one fluid motion, her arms splayed above her head and her legs crisscrossed down below in mangled defeat! Referee hovers over her the entire 10-count but she ain’t getting up from that one! He swiftly calls for the bell and this fight is OVER!

Official Decision: Luisana Lopilato defeats Ashley Greene via KO5!

AFTER:
Revenge is sweet indeed as Luisa takes a well-earned lap around the ring as her name is called out over the loudspeakers and her arm raised by the referee. Greene meanwhile is still left shellshocked by the ropes, turning her back over onto all fours, but her head still swimming like hell as she tries to make it back to her corner.

No love lost between these two, however, as the usually sweet Luisa calls some insults over at her from across the ring: “You like that, huh? Thought you could beat me a second time, did you?”

Later, Luisa has brief comments of her own for the reporters gathered at the post-fight press conference: “I have a strong feeling this year is gonna be the best year of my career. I may have had a slow start ever since joining the FCBA, but sooner or later, I’m gonna be the one holding up a title for all of you to see. The one thing that defines who I am is the fact that I never give up.”
