5. Georgia Mae Gibbs vs Danielle Robertson

Georgia:
(23, 5’10, 19:9 FCBA, VIXENs)

Danielle:
(25, 5’11, 0:2 FCBA, Free Agent)

BEFORE:
This next fight might as well be taking place on Bondi Beach as Aussie blonde and brunette face off for ten rounds of Lightweight action. Georgia Mae Gibbs having a rough couple of months recently, falling to Alexandra Daddario and Courtney Tailor at the start of the year, almost in danger herself of getting cut from the team just like her teammate Kelly Rohrbach. But to hear the blonde tell the tale, you'd never guess she was ever worried about her position:

"What's there to worry? I'm tougher than most of the models in the league. Look at what I did to Wallis and Harrison recently... I've proven I can go up against the best this division can offer, and I plan to keep rising to the top."

"Yeah? Till you get knocked out by Alexis again," Danni Robertson cuts in unceremoniously from across the press table. "You Vixens think you're all better than us and sh*t. Tonight, I plan on proving why it was a mistake for management to have let me go."

Danielle of course referring to the fact that she’s recently found herself in a Free Agency position after being released from the SIRENs team just last month. The two ladies meet in the centre of the ring to loud catcalls and wolf whistles, Georgia's amber-themed bikini showing off her lean and toned body, whereas Danni's violet two-piece swimsuit highlights her muscular frame.

Referee calls for the touch of gloves and it's completely ignored. Ladies sent to their respective corners where they await the bell. Gibbs in black gloves whilst Danni in white. HERE we go with ten rounds of classic Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
The sun’s set by this point but the crowds are still excited for this final boxing match on the cards. A loud ROAR goes out (along with a few Aussie slurs that we won’t be repeating here) as the two native Australians clash in the middle of the ring. Danielle definitely initiates the action with more energy and force, sending plowing right hands straight into Georgia’s guard, hoping to trip the blonde up early and make her vulnerable for a quick kill. Georgia however not allowing that to happen, absorbing some unpredictable shots to the body but taking the majority of the strikes in her stride. She’s clearly prepared herself for Danni’s muscular prowess behind each attack, taking the hits whilst keeping her feet loose and moving, before suddenly springing forward at Danni with sudden jabs to her face, showing off her speed and dissuading Robertson from coming in too close. End of the round and we’d say that Gibbs is the gal with the overall aggregate, winning the round based on points and the sheer number of shots landed on Danni’s frame this round.

ROUND 2:
Robertson still mightily peeved at having been overlooked this past year and a half by her former stable, goes into overdrive at this rare chance at boxing action. Bad news for Gibbs, who has to keep herself out of range of her devastating attacks, but Danni’s rage proves too much in the middle minute, when Robertson swings a hook low and snags a glove on the side tummy before rattling the Vixen’s guard with another fast followup hook to her arms. Gibbs definitely felt that one - she winces and gets out of range again, relying on her jabbing arms to keep Danni at bay. Some damage wrought to Danni’s face as the big Aussie fitness girl comes forward to bully some more, shrugging off the light taps as she slams another cross straight to the middle of Gibb’s guard, then another fist is plunged into Gibbs’ chest for good measure. Georgia left shellshocked by the end of this round, that’s for sure, and the bell saves her from potential long-term trauma.

ROUND 3:
Danni continues to dominate in the first minute, stalking the blonde and pressuring as she keeps Georgia on the back pedal, flurries suddenly exploding out of nowhere to try and herd Gibbs into a corner and prime her compatriot for a potential knockdown. Gibbs does her best to stay agile, of course, legs skirting the periphery of the ring as she keeps mind of the space left between her back and the ropes. Occasional DUCK under one of Danni’s high hooks particularly underpins the dire situation the Vixen’s in, with Robertson going all out with her attacks, especially when she sees a chance to pin Georgia down for the kill. Unfortunately, the leaner woman is still moving too fast for her, and Gibbs manages to dig her own gloves into the bigger woman’s body before circling back out of range. Close round still goes to Danni, who continues to look like a hot commodity in there by dominating the action.

ROUND 4:
Out of nowhere, however, comes a blitz of punches from Georgia Gibbs, who took advantage of her own speed to stun Danni to the lips early on whilst the bigger brunette was still warming up for another rush. Robertson just too slow as she takes a couple of steps back, her guard still being raised when Gibbs shoots in more punches that sting the lips and forehead, before one of Danni’s hooks spooks the blonde off. Bad news for Robertson as the tables are suddenly turned, and her lack of stamina and bigger bulk become disadvantages instead: Georgia able to circle and pound away at her flanks, arms and exposed face, taking her own sweet time as she bobs and weaves left and right, before pouncing in. Gibbs acting like this was her plan all along, a wide smile on her face when the bell rings as she sees Robertson looking flabbergasted and pained on her way back to corner. Could this be a turn in their fortunes?

ROUND 5:
Danni digs deep and CHARGES once more, and Gibbs lets out a loud yelp as she has to fend off more blows crashing into her sides, then into her arms. Gibbs needs to hang in there if she’s to survive this - nay, she needs to get the f*ck outta there if she doesn’t want to end up kissing the canvas. Danni smells blood as she slowly pushes the lithe blonde backwards into the ropes, but makes the mistake of going for an early uppercut swipe down the middle of Georgia’s arms - the Aussie blonde simply weaves her head to the left at the last moment, her eyes still focused as she KNOCKS Danni’s head skywards with a step-in blast of her own! UGHH! Robertson seeing stars! Danni sent reeling as more quick punches find their way into her nose and lips, Gibbs pouring in the abuse now that she’s got her opponent where she wants! Danni groan as she takes another left-right to the chin, before a big hook FLASHES fast across her face... and DOWN DANNI GOES, too stunned to do anything else but PLOP her butt downwards in shock and awe! Referee counts her all the way out to ten, the big girl ain’t going nowhere as she falls back onto her all fours, out cold! It’s all over in flash KO fashion!

Official Result: Georgia Mae Gibbs defeats Danielle Robertson via KO5!

AFTER:
Poor Danni, who’s left knocked out over the canvas, and without a stable to call home! Gibbs with little sympathy, parading around the ring with her hands raised high and a big smile on her face, soaking in the adoration of the Aussie crowd. She may have suffered some early losses at the start of this year, but her hopes to distinguish herself from the pack continue.

More post-fight shenanigans result, as Georgia mounts the fallen Robertson and proceeds to rain punches down into her face, a hapless Danielle left stunned and groaning below as she’s busted up by the blonde’s rage, and the ring officials soon have to rush in to restore order, pulling Georgia off and shoving her back to corner.

Not sure what Gibbs was playing at there if all she wanted was to rub salt into the wound, but it’s clearly gotten the attention of everyone else on the beach: a mixture of cheers and boos at the Vixen’s antics as Gibbs heads back up to the ramp with her team.
