Before: The Latina Knockouts assault on the O&E lineup continues, moving back up to the big girls as Natalie Martinez tries her luck again. R1: As advertised--girls meet midring, bend in forehead to forehead, guards up at their cheeks, ready to work. Bruising stuff--both girls snapping hooks at one another’s ribcages, hacking down with short right hands from the guard to the opponent’s jaw line. Heads bump rough, Adriana takes over late with a left uppercut, biting up into Natalie’s body, raking her breasts and smashing mouth to take a close round.

R2: Crowd roars as Natalie wades in, disdain the jab and opens with cudgeling 6 hook barrage to Brazilian midsection to crumple Adriana to the ropes. Lima hurt, sliding to her right, and Martinez steps with her, using a flickering jab to the forehead, then dipping down to sling right hands to the stomach or head as Adriana breaks down. Lima battered to the turnbuckle, right hand at her cheek, left across her belly, manages to turn her left shoulder just enough to slip the punches that might end this thing—but she takes a murderous beating this round. Natalie pumped at the bell, Adriana staggering—helped to her corner.

R3: Adriana shakes it off, comes right back at Natalie as grueling trench warfare is unsurprisingly the order of the day. Girls hunching over more now, wrestling more on the inside--punching room starts to become a premium, Lima walking Martinez back, having success with a little curling left uppercut to the sternum, then a blockbuster right hand out wide to the side. Natalie’s butt touches ropes for the first time as she clinches around Adriana’s waist, letting the Brazilian slap at her back at the bell.

R4&5: Girls touch each other stubby jabs, then fall in to slug meaningfully to the body. Both standing on straight legs, leaning in slightly, hands low--they trade bruising strokes to the waist and chest, forgetting for the moment that both have chins. Girls look to rest their palms on one another’s hips, then jolt short punches in tight--working in and around one another’s arms. Busy two-way action, but Natalie’s finding a blockbuster right hand just inside Adriana’s left hip that’s sounding out lout, drawing pained winces. Martinez knows she’s found something and goes right back to her girl in the 5th. Standing toe to toe, hands low again, Natalie starts piling in those rights to the lower belly, holding her own hands across her stomach, using her shoulder and chest as she leans forward through the lashing return fire to budge Adriana into position. Final minute, Lima falters to the ropes as Natalie steps with her. Lima keeping that left elbow in tight to take away the hurt, Martinez curling the right hand to the breasts and across the jaw as the girls continue to trade inside. Tough pair of rounds to Martinez.

R6: Adriana backing Natalie up against the ropes giving out a beating. Lima LASHING her way to glory, reaching in with the left hand to stabilize, driving right hand blockbusters into the flat midriff with heartstopping force--easily some of the best punching of her career. Martinez crying out behind her mouthpiece finally looking to clinch but Adriana’s rag-dolling her back into the ropes and going back downstairs where it’s hurting the most. Natalie with her elbows in tight, folding forward, Lima opens up with shellacking lefts and rights--fists bouncing loud off the brunette’s hips and back and MARTINEZ GOES DOWN! Natalie hugging her battered middle, mewling and rocking on her left side—KO6 Adriana Lima!

After: Traditional Latin pressure fighting in its purest form. Martinez giving Lima plenty of trouble, proving herself to be much more of a threat than she ever was as a bantam. A beach fighter like Agdal, desperate for a win, may pick her as an easy target. And they may well suffer for it!
