Intro:
It has been a whirlwind few weeks for Javicia Leslie, only a few weeks ago she was named the new Batwoman, now she is stepping onto Copacabana Beach to fight with fellow actress and former Agents of Shield baddie Dove Cameron.

Javicia for those who don't know was born in Germany but grew up in Maryland, she has been in shows like "God Friended me" well now she will be replacing Ruby Rose as Batwoman.

Talking to Alicia Atout in her hotel room, Javicia looks to still be in dreamland judging by her big grin, admitting "I have honestly been speechless the past few weeks, becoming such a strong character as Batwoman is just amazing, I didn't expect to get the part but here we are and now I am going to box"

After joking for Alicia to give her a pinch, Javicia calms down to tell Alicia "I am not scared one bit getting into the ring, I've been doing muay Thai training for years, so throwing fists isn't foreign to me, fighting as a pro is a little nerve wrecking, once I find my feet I am confident I can be great at this"

When asked about Dove, Javicia says "I don't know her personally, it won't be a grudge fight for me which I know isn't exciting to some, the tapes I've seen of her were impressive, I know she did some kick boxing training for Agents of Shield, so this should be a good scrap" Alicia congratulates Javicia on her role and wishes her luck tonight, Javicia blows her a kiss as a thank you.

Heading into the Cameron hotel room, she finds Dove doing stretches, finishing up Dove heads over to the door to talk to Alicia, she looks relaxed as she begins to chat.

"I never thought I would be boxing Batwoman, here we are in Brazil, so yeah this is going to be interesting" Dove grinning as she shakes her head thinking about this fight.

Asked about how she is feeling going into this fight, Dove tells Atout "I feel great, I've worked hard on my technique to try to get back to winning ways, Javicia can be a good boxer but I know once I pressure her she'll crumble" thanking Alicia for taking the time to talk to her.

The ring posts are set directly in the sand, no crowd here but cameras on each top of each post, while two cameramen take each side of the ring, the judges table is on side of the ring.

Out comes Javicia with her coach, she wears a black bikini with a red Batwoman badge on her left bra cup, black gloves with red thumbs, her hair tied back into a ponytail.

Climbing into the ring, Javicia raises her arms into the air as she smiles at the camera's, she gets into her corner where she shadow boxes to warm up.

Now Dove comes onto the beach, she is wearing a black bikini with red trim, red gloves as her hair is also tied into a ponytail, she is smiling as she heads to the ring.

Stepping into the ring, Dove blows a kiss to the cameras before she settled into the corner, her coach telling her to take Javicia serious, just because she is a rookie means nothing.

Coming to the center of the ring, the fighters shake their arms to keep limber as their coaches massage their shoulders, the fighters look calm around each other.

Bumping gloves respectfully into their opponent's, they then jog back to their corners, their coaches give them final piece of advice, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
At the bell they step out their corners throwing probing punches, testing each others defences out as their eyes are firmly locked on their opponent.

With Dove the first to land a meaningful blow, digging in two hooks to the body, before taking a right to the top of her head to back her off.

Javicia is giving glimpses of her skill set, throwing jabs to open up Dove's guard so she can throw straights into the mouth and cheeks of her fellow actress to knock her head back.

A right cross misses though as Cameron dips down, the younger fight drills in a left/right to the abs of Leslie, then she lands an overhand left to the jaw of the rookie.

Forcing the issue more, Dove is making Javicia box more defensively, with the blonde ducking another right to slam one of her own into the body, a left to the ribs makes Javicia hiss out.

Dove finishes the round strong by keeping Javicia near the ropes, at the bell she smiles as she jogs back to her corner, enjoying that opening round with Leslie being told to not be as gun shy, she needs to be more proactive in exchanges.

Round 2:
Throwing more punches from the off, Javicia is matching Dove's work rate, the fighters snap each others heads back as they trade stiff straight punches to faces.

Dove tries to dip down but Javicia reads it, slamming a left across the cheek of the younger woman to turn her head, a follow up left/right straight into the face of Cameron to back her off.

Following up with more combinations through the mitts of Dove, knocking her to the outside of the ring, with Dove trying to fight back as the fighters trade more head hunting punches.

The work from Javicia is keeping back her opponent, Dove covering up now as she is herded back into a corner, while Javicia nearly throws a knee into the body of Dove, she remembers this is boxing and instead uses her fists on the abs of Dove.

That leaves Javicia open to a left cross/straight to knock her back, Dove gets back into space looking to throw more punches to keep the black fighter at arms length.

The bell rings with both women nodding to each other, passing each other to return back to their corners, getting wiped down by their coaches as they get advice about what they need to change.

Round 3:
Trading stinging jabs as they circle at the ring center, Dove ducks down to move inside quickly, banging two hooks to the body, that forces Javicia to push her back to the outside.

The next time Dove tries to close that gap, she is met with a double jab to the top of her head, a left hook follows to turn her head to back her off.

With Javicia again taking the center of the ring, Dove showing good spirit though as the fighters trade punches through each others mitts to faces, marks showing up on cheeks as they both show fast hands.

Slipping a straight, Dove steps inside with a right to the body, then a left hook to the cheek of Javicia to knock her back, Dove backs up now her fellow American onto the ropes, forcing Javicia to clinch up with her.

After both are broken apart, Dove again tries to step in but eats a right onto her lips, blood runs from a cut on her bottom lip, the bell rings not long after with Dove wiping her lip and nods at Javicia as she grins.

Returning to their corners, Javicia gets a pat on her back from her coach, she beams as she looks over at Dove, who stares back at her as she stays standing, keen it seems to pay Javicia back for the lip.

Round 4:
Boxing at the center, Dove starts slipping more punches to land her own through the open gaps in Javicia's guard, knocking back the head of her opponent.

Taking the ring center, Dove bangs in a crisp jab/straight that pushes back Javicia, forcing the rookie to cover up as Dove tries to break through to her face.

When that doesn't work as well, Dove switches to the body with lefts and rights pistoning into the abs, making Javicia wince before she starts swinging back.

There's a hard hitting exchange between them, Javicia learning that positioning can be key as she can't load up on her punches as much as Dove can.

Leading to Javicia covering back up again as a left/right cross turns her head, Dove throwing more uppercuts as she looks to hurt Leslie, banging several into the body to drive air from the black woman's body.

The round ends with Dove jogging back to her corner, looking confident as she continues to stand, wanting to keep going as her coach is talking to her about how she can break down that guard easier.

Across the ring Javicia is told not to worry too much about losing a round, just try not to give Dove too much confidence or she might find herself looking at the lights, maybe not the most reassuring words to hear.

Round 5:
Looking to keep pressuring the rookie, Dove doubles up her jab more, sending sweat off the head of Javicia when she finds gaps to strike through in her opponent's defences.

Javicia isn't just standing taking these hits for free, she lands a few good combos out her guard to keep Dove from trying to bulldoze her, cheeks looking a little puffy on both women's faces.

Ducking down to move inside, Dove hammers in two rights to the body, a left hits across the top of her brow to make her retreat back for now, though judging by her grin she is looking more confident with each exchange.

Switching up her punches, Dove is looking the best she has in a while, boxing back Javicia to the outside of the ring, making Leslie kick up sand as she backs her up.

The right hand of Dove is hanging low, Javicia slams a left hook to the jaw of Cameron to turn her head, an uppercut follows to knock back the blonde to her heels.

Now with less then a minute to go, it is Javicia building momentum, drilling punches into the face of Dove to send sweat off her head, covering up as Javicia throws a barrage towards her head.

The round ends with Javicia now jogging back to her corner, her coach nods to her but they both know she needs to box smartly, she can't leave herself too open for Dove.

Round 6:
Dove moves out her corner again trying to be the aggressor, she misses early on with a straight as Javicia deflects it before ramming a straight of her own into that cut lip, making the blonde wince.

Doubling her jab into the bloody lip of Dove, Javicia works back the blonde to a corner with more punches digging into the face of Cameron, who tries to clinch up but is eating too many punches.

A left hook on her jaw wobbles her legs, an uppercut looks to have Dove nearly hanging on the ropes, FINALLY A LEFT HOOK SENDS DOVE SLIDING DOWN THE TURNBUCKLES TO THE SAND, GUMSHIELD FALLING OUT HER MOUTH!

"Woo!" Yells Javicia as she looks down at Dove, referee needing to remind her to go to the neutral corner, 1...2...3...4.. Dove looks lost to the world right now, eyes still shut as she is napping, 5...6...7.. The Cameron corner look down as 8...9...10 Dove is counted out!

Winner Javicia Leslie KO Round 6

After:
First fight, first win for Javicia, she jumps for joy with her arms in the air, excited to have beaten Dove in what was a good learning fight for her judging by the marks over her face.

Dove's coach steps into the ring with smelling salts, spluttering awake with Dove blinking, she looks up at her coach and as soon as it hits her what's happened, she punches the sand in annoyance.

Over comes Javicia after Dove is helped to her feet, the winner checking on Dove, who says "I'll be OK, you can certainly throw a punch" winking at Leslie as she shows no hard feelings.

Javicia thanking Dove for giving her a hard fight, admitting she still has a lot to learn, Dove joking that maybe Javicia show seek Ruby Rose for lessons, making Javicia chuckle in return.

After they share a hug, Dove leaves the ring after she tells Javicia "the spotlight is yours tonight, if we fight again I'll take it off you" grinning as Javicia says "anytime" both lifting their fists up with smiles.

Heading off the beach, Dove showed glimpses of what made her a top rookie herself at one point, without a stable and regular fights though she has holes in her skill set that are stopping her advancing, fact she is still young means it isn't game over on her learning those skills.

Back in the ring Javicia poses hands on hips for the cameras, she gives her coach a hug as she thanks them for their help and support, the coach replying "just keep winning to make me happy" both laughing at that.

Javicia leaves the ring with her coach, while she isn't the youngest rookie in the world, with her muay Thai background already, she might be one to watch moving up the rankings.
