Lisa Whelchel vs. Valerie Bertinelli
A surprising cougar bout was on the schedule last night. Surprising as the two boxers were Lisa Whelchel and Valerie Bertinelli.
These two were nice and cordial in the pre-fight press. Both spoke of helping out for this charity event and how glad they were to box.
The weigh in was surprising as these two hotties over the age of 50 were surprising as they weighed in wearing bikinis.
Fight night came and the referee for the bout came out first.
It was Andie MacDowell in tight black short shorts and a black and white almost lingerie cut bra like top.
Lisa came out wearing green short shorts and a green sleeveless bikini cut top with red gloves.
Valerie came into the ring wearing purple short shorts and a purple top like her opponent. She has on white gloves.
Round 1:
The bout opens with a surprising slugging by both boxers. Lisa shows some surprising weight of her punch as she is able to slug Valerie back a bit. Whelchel seems to be more direct before Valerie rights herself. She used her right to go into Lisa’s breasts. Soon Whelchel was backing up but she was counter punching very effectively. The bell rang ending a close round. Lisa won it and seemed to be waving to someone in the crowd before sitting down in her corner.
Round 2 & 3:
Valerie came out aggressive early as she unloads some straight rights. Her follows up go into Whelchel’s breasts. Lisa tries to go up into Bertinelli’s face and a short fire fight follows. Valerie starts to hit hard shots in Lisa’s face and chest. Whelchel was soon backing up with a fired up Bertinelli coming right after her. Valerie seemed to be squaring up into Lisa before the bell. Valerie won the round widely.
The next round opened with Valerie again coming out of her corner aggressively. This time Lisa stopped her with a short hook to her chin. Now Lisa seemed to have Valerie backing up with her hard punches. Valerie got a right to Lisa’s breasts and a left into her gut to stop her. Whelchel uses a hardy left jab to back away from Valerie and circling. She starts to get inside behind her jabs when the bell rings. Valerie wins a close round.
Round 4:
The 4th opens with both boxers slugging from the ringing of the bell. Whelchel was more prepared for Bertinelli’s aggressive starts as she is soon punching and forcing Valerie back. Now she circles as Lisa goes back to her jabs on her. Late in the round, Valerie got in a hard straight right to Lisa’s chest and a left cross to her face. Whelchel then got in close and the two cougar had a very brief firefight. Lisa landed some beautiful right and left hooks before the bell ended the round. Andie was close by and broke up the two boxers before any more punches could be thrown. Lisa won a close round and again seemed to be waving or mouthing words to someone in the crowd.
Round 5:
The 5th round opened with the two boxers slugging. But Valerie takes a short right hook to her gut from Lisa. Whelchel adds on a left hook to her chin which causes Bertinelli to freeze. Lisa goes to her face with back to back uppercuts. VALERIE IS HURT! She goes to clinch up with Whelchel. MacDowell breaks up the clinch and calls the fighters back to boxing. Lisa comes back behind her high jab on Valerie’s face and then goes to straight left to Bertinelli’s gut. Valerie’s groans are audible at ringside. Lisa goes back to her head with a left jab and right cross combination. Andie is closer now to the two boxers. Another right uppercut from Lisa AND VALERIE GOES DOWN! Lisa soon is walking to a neutral corner as Andie watches. Then MacDowell begins the count. Whelchel is mouthing words to her corner as the count reaches 7. Bertinelli is soon on her elbows almost sitting up by 9. But the 10 is made and Valerie gets no further. KO 5 – Lisa Whelchel.
After:
Lisa comes out after the ten count is finished and the bell rings. She walks about and poses before reaching center of the ring and MacDowell. Andie raises Lisa’s right gloved hand and announced her as the winner.
Whelchel soon has both arms raised as she moves around celebrating her win. She comes to the far ropes and leans over to say something to a man in the front row. She smiles and seems to be posing for him.
MacDowell soon is posing as well thanks to some fans at ringside and photographers. She is surprised but soon is posing and bending over to show her cleavage. And then her own butt in those tight black short shorts which Andie shows off.
Then Lisa Whelchel comes back from the far ropes and hugs Valerie as she is in her corner.
The fans cheer this display as Valerie soon leaves the ring.
Lisa stays in the ring for a little more before she leaves.
In the post-fight press, Lisa speaks on her victory and how she definitely wants to box more. She talks of the excitement and the encouragement of the fans. Lisa does say the man at ringside was the one who encouraged her to box again.
McDowell was also very appreciative of the crowd, photographers and said as much in talking to them after the bout. Then she is on the phone working on getting in the ring herself and her daughters to box as well. |
