LACEY CHABERT VS AUTUMN REESER
Hallmark Channel Showdown
Results: Lookout Writing: Archer
Lacey: 37 YO, 5’3 (1.60 m), 43-38-3, 36 KO since 2005, Global Boxing Syndicate
Autumn: 39 YO, 5’4 (1.63 m), 1-3-0, 1 KO since 2016, Pretty Little Punchers
Before: The fight will be piped in from specially set up ring featuring the Hallmark Gold Crown logo in the center. Apparently the Hallmark Channels wish to gain some attention from prospective viewers who normally wouldn’t be watching their romantic comedy/dramas. Selected for this initial venture are Autumn Reeser of the Pretty Little Punchers and Lacey Chabert of the Global Boxing Syndicate.
“Hey, it gets me a real fight I am happy to sign,” says Autumn, who is usually found handling the PR for the Punchers. “I know I don’t have much of a record in the FCBA, but I always tell people I was very successful as a non-FCBA fighter. I know Lacey has a much longer record than mine, but I was a lot more motivation to win.”
Lacey smiles: “Gosh, Autumn, I’ll bet you are really, really motivated to win. After all, it will give you TWO WHOLE VICTORIES,” teased a smirking Lacey Chabert.
“As long as one of them is over YOU, I’ll be happy,” Autumn responded.
“And the best part will be that I promise I won’t leave you hanging over the ropes in your panties,” Lacey continued.
“Those were not boxing matches. They were stable rows after fights. I was just sticking up for my stablemates and sometimes it didn’t always turn out so well,” Autumn admitted sullenly. “But don’t you be getting any ideas! This is going to be a no nonsense fight.”
“I am always a good and proper lady in the ring,” Lacey said. “If there is any ‘nonsense’ it won’t be from me.”
“It better not be,” Autumn snapped.
The tension between the two fighters was evident and it did help spark some added interest in the fight. Autumn came to the ring in a white with pale silver stripes one piece swimsuit. Autumn wore black gloves and boots (silver laces). Her hair bobbed hair was loose, but wetted down. Lacey came to the ring in a purple one piece with a halter top, she wore gold gloves and boots with purple laces. Lacey’s hair was piled up on her head in a top knot.
The two eye each warily as they meet the referee at mid ring. The instructions for covered crisply. Lacey and Autumn touch gloves and adjourn to their respective corners. Then the bell rings…
R1: Autumn and Lacey move swiftly to mid-ring and the leather begins to fly. Autumn fires a steady stream of rights and lefts to Lacey’s head and face. Lacey is jolted and her own counters to the head are not landing with power. Lacey in retreat , her gloves up covering her face, as Autumn just can’t seem to resist putting some meaty looks into Lacey’s impressive chest. Lacey trying to circle away from Autumn, but the PLP boxer staying with Lacey and now gives the GBS boxer’s ribs a nasty sanding with crisscrossing lefts and rights. Lacey jabbing back but it’s not slowing Autumn down and Autumn puts Lacey up on her toes with a couple of deep hooks to the belly just as the round ends. Autumn goes back to her corner looking pleased with herself at having won the first round wide.
R2: Lacey Chabert fast out of her corner as the bell. Autumn Reeser just a bit slower, but that slight time difference allows Lacey to land a jarring right to Autumn’s jaw. Autumn staggered by Lacey’s opening blow and wobbles backwards. Lacey striking hard at Autumn’s chin with repeated left and right uppercuts. Autumn’s head is bobbing up and down until she can get her gloves to blocking these teeth rattling blows. Lacey now drops down for some vengeful working over of Autumn’s modest breast line and then down with hooks to ravage Autumn’s abs. Autumn looking unsteady, just trying to survive the storm of leather slamming into her, as she hunches down and tries to protect her head. Lacey trying to steer Autumn into the ropes, but runs out of time before she can accomplish it. Lacey Chabert wins round in a SHUTOUT!
R3: Autumn worked on extensively by her PLP corner crew during the break. She managed to come out reasonably well at the bell, but Lacey was much more mobile as she closed in on Autumn. Lacey went solidly to the belly with her opening hooks, then tried to punch her way upwards into Autumn’s breasts. Autumn was using quick hard jabs to strike at Lacey to the head and face. Lacey was started to lump up from these blows and so started circling around Autumn looking for openings. At this point, Lacey was directing her leather at Autumn’s head, keeping her ducking and then trying to heave in overhand rights and lefts to Autumn’s face. Autumn then caught Lacey with a solid right uppercut to the chin. It rocked Lacey and she lurched back. Autumn quickly advanced to take advantage. There were rapid fire punches to the jaw that swiveled both fighters’ heads, but Lacey got hooks into Autumn’s belly to put her on her heels. Lacey was starting to advance as time ran out on the round. It had been a much closer round, but Lacey pulled out a narrow win.
R4: Autumn and Lacey moved out quickly at the bell and quickly at each other. The early punching was mainly directed at the head as both scored with solid blows. Then Autumn went after Lacey to the flanks, moving from right side to left side to score with hard blows to the ribs. Then Lacey struck at Autumn to the chin, making her head bounce with two well-placed uppercuts. Autumn lurched back, her gloves up around her head as Lacey started forward with pounding hooks to Autumn’s body. Autumn struck back with a right to the jaw that seemed to freeze Lacey. Autumn then attacked to the body, but Lacey snapped out of her stupor and replied with body punches of her own. They now moved to toe to toe range as they pumped punch after punch into breasts, ribs and stomach. It was fierce down to the bell and the referee had to jump in to halt the action. It had been an intense round and the judges ruled it a DRAW!
R5: The bell range and the action quickly resumed, but this time Autumn seized the initiative with quick rights and lefts to the jaw to stun Lacey. Then two meaty uppercuts to the chin sent shock waves through Lacey’s body and she fell back on wobbly legs. Autumn charged forward, pounding Lacey’s big juggs, then down to the abs with ripping hooks. Lacey desperately jabbed at Autumn’s face and did manage to draw blood with a shot to the nose. However Autumn seemed to shake this off and resumed her hammering of Lacey’s body. She seemed to be trying to drive Lacey into the ropes. Lacey was able to slide along the strands to escape being trapped, but the bell sounded and Autumn had won the round by a wide margin. Lacey looks woozy as she makes her way back to her corner and slumps worrisomely on her stool. Autumn all this with hungry eyes as she sits on her stool.
R6: Bell sounds and out comes the fighters. Lacey moving slowly, looking very defensive as Autumn closes in on her. Autumn immediately attacking Lacey to the abs. Punishing hooks double Lacey up and as she bends forward Autumn drives a blazing right between the mitts to catch Lacey in the face. Lacey’s head is thrown back by the blow and in that moment Autumn brings a right cross/left hook combo crashing into Lacey’s chin. Lacey slumps backwards and Autumn adds a final right to the jaw/left to the jaw combo. LACEY CRASHES ONTO HER BACK! Lacey lies there, eyelids fluttering, chest heaving as Autumn hastens to the neutral corner and the referee moves in. Lacey trying to rise, but can’t seem to get very far before she falls back.
“NINE!...TEN!...YER OUT!”
THE WINNER AUTUMN REESER DEFEATS LACEY CHABERT KO6!
After: “I didn’t think it would be so hard or take long to get my second win,” says a weary, but exultant Autumn Reeser, “but it feels GREAT! I worked hard and took a lot of punching, but it’s all paid off. I am so grateful to the Hallmark people to give me this chance.”
“I am very disappointed,” Lacey says later, “It was a hard fight, but I was staying with Autumn, but then she got me early and often in the 5th. I was still hearing birds chirping when the 6th starter. I didn’t last long after that. I am sorry I let my fans down. I apologize to them for that.”
It was a back and forth fight until Autumn got to Lacey in the 5th, weakened her and then finished her off in the 6th. Something of upset win for Autumn Reeser and no doubt a very pleasing one. Understandably, a painful setback for Lacey Chabert, as it is never good to be on the wrong side of an upset win. T
Hallmark officials said to be very pleased with fight and the amount of attention it raised among boxing fans. Reportedly more fights are being planned. The names of Hallmark stalwarts Kellie Martin, Rachael Leigh Cook, Alicia Witt and Rachel Boston being whispered. Fans already to see who is next in the Gold Crow Ring. Fans are hoping for DVD releases of the fights (and there are even rumors of boxing related Christmas ornamentsn tie-ins being under consideration!) |
