Hurley is at the Podium “Charlize and I are friendly. We aren’t good friends, simply because we live in different worlds. I live and work in the UK. She lives and works here in the US. The most we have seen of each other is in the ring. We have had five fights. She won the first two and I’ve won two of the last three She and I are old professionals. We don’t brag about how we are going to destroy our opponent and when it’s over, we aren’t going to do any kind of humiliation. We are long past that. We are just here to do a job and go home. It should be a good fight”

When Theron is motioned to take the Mic she waives it off she simply in a loud voice says “What Liz said”

THE FIGHT

Hurley enters to the crowd cheers wearing burnt orange bikini, black gloves and boxing boots Her brunette hair is cut short. Charlize is in her usual outfit, cream bikini, white gloves, her blonde hair in corn rows. She is barefooted. She looks out the crowd. She knows they came to see her lose.

R1 They are out to the center of the ring and tap gloves and then circle, watching each other. Theron makes the first moving closing on Hurley and send a right jab to the Hurley’s face. Hurley returns the punch. They close briefly with Theron landing a couple good punches to Hurley’s head while Hurley works Charlize’s body. Then they break off. That’s the way the round goes. They close, exchange punches and back off. Hurley is dominating the punching as she works on Theron’s midsection. In the final seconds, Hurley lights upTheron with a right uppercut sending Charlize into the ropes and follows up with a right-left to the head as the round ends. Theron’s a little wobbly as she heads to her corner.

R2. Two are back out in the center of the ring. Pushing jabs at long range then closing and engaging in short burst of close in fighting. Neither is in a hurry. This bout could well go to a decision as three of the five have. Charlize moves in and lands a right cross to Hurleys head. Hurley’s right back with a left-right to Charlize’s tummy. Charlize hook to Hurley’s jaw, Hurley working Theron’s body and Charlize moves back out to regroup. Hurley is content to let Theron come to her. Charlize does with a overhand right to Hurleys head. A Hurley cross misses, but Theron’s doesn’t as she knocks Hurley back a few steps at the bell.

R3 The dance continues. Fans of boxing rather than slugging can appreciate the action. Both moving in exchanging punches and then back out. Both have power, but Charlize definitely has the edge in that category, Theron constantly moving in and engaging, but in the exchanges Hurley is getting the best of her. Suddenly It’s Hurley who moves in. She catches Theron with a right cross, and then bumps a little breath from the blonde with sharp uppercuts to the body. She has Theron on the ropes as the round ends.

R4 The action steps up. They are now engaging in longer give and takes. Charlize looking to kill the head while Hurley’s wants to kill the body, They are in close, the punches are sharp, but not devastating. Each seems to be depending on the volume of punishment over time to tell the difference. Both are trying to avoid that fatal error. The right side of Hurley’s head is showing some redness. Chalizes body hasn’t escaped as there is some serious bruising. Charlize is back with a right to Hurley jaw and follow up with a left to the body and another right to the jaw. There is little shimmer in Hurley’s legs at the bell.

R5. Charlize is now ready to up the ante. She moves into Hurley with a right to the jaw, a left hook to the chin, a right and another left. Hurleys not out of it. She responds with a left cross of her own, and a right. The two are now toe to toe punching away. Theron misses with a swinging right allowing Hurley to disengage and regroup. She moves right back in and they go at it again swapping rights and left. Once again Charlize is getting the best of it. She has Hurley against the ropes as the two continue to pound away and again Theron is still getting the best of it. She has Hurley pinned against the ropes Hurley can’t get away. Hurley’s head is being punched back. The bell gives Hurley relief.

R6 Charlize out moving toward Hurley as Hurley is moving to side. Charlize cuts her off near the ropes. She unleashes an overhead right that sails by Hurley’s head. She is little off balance when Hurley lands a sweeping picture perfect right hook to the point of Theron’s chin, THERON’S HURT. She reaches forward to clinch, but Hurley quickly steps a side and Theron pitches face forward into the ropes. She grabs Theron’s right shoulder and turns her around. Hurley steps back and her right glove disappears into Charlize's stomach. THE CROWD IS ON IT’S FEET CHEERING. A blockbuster right uppercut straightens the Goddess up. Another right uppercut knocks her head over the top rope. As the head comes forward another uppercut lands. Theron is out on her feet. She defenseless, arms dangling down-by her side. The ref is letting go on. Another right to the body. Another savage uppercut. A right and left to the breasts. A right hook to the body and a booming left uppercut to the chin. Hurley steps back to take a breath. Charlize staggers drunkenly off the ropes toward Liz starting on her way down. Liz takes a deep breath and unleashes a right cross that turns Theron around, her mouthpiece flying out of her mouth THERON’S DOWN She crashes to the canvas, head bouncing violently on the canvas. She’s on her back. eyes open, but seeing nothing. IT’S OVER Charlize is out cold. The referee doesn’t bother to count. The crowd goes wild with cheers as Hurley hand is raised in victory.

Hurley demolishes the Golden Goddess with a KO6 in an dramatic upset.

AFTER

Lawrence is the first to get to the out cold Goddess. She takes on look and calls for the doctor. After about five minutes there is some stirring from the beaten blonde. Theron is removed from the ring on a strecher.

The post fight press conference is called off, but Hurley steps in to say Hello to the press. When asked about the final right cross she replied “That was an honest mistake. I knew she was out after that third uppercut, but the ref wouldn’t call off the fight. When I saw her come off the ropes, even if I knew she was going down, well when you see Charlize Theron coming your way, survival instinct’s take over. I knew immediately I shouldn’t have thrown that punch, but it was too late, now if you will excuse me, I want to check on Charlize.” The press hangs around waiting on word of Theron’s condition. Finally the word comes from the doctor “She going to be just fine. Her jaw maybe sore but other than that, she’s good”.

Sports casts and the internet have countless videos of the right cross calling it “the punch that ended a career” Sports commentators calling for Theron to finally retire before she gets badly hurt. Some going as far as demanding the Commissioner refuse to approve any more Theron fights. No comment from the Commissioners office or the Theron camp.
