Pre-Fight:

“So… does anyone really think the old lady can win?” asks a smug Debby. “Let’s see… old, inexperienced, and one fight against a commercial comedian who can’t fight worth a damn. She’s going down and out, Round 3.”

“Old, huh?” says a smirking Rashida. “The mouth on that girl… who does she think she is, Babe Ruth? Calling her shot… She’s in for a rude awakening with me. And have you seen her win list? Not exactly any all-timers on there. She’s just a little girl with a big mouth.”

R1: Debby clearly moving well while the older Rashida is a little slower. The GBS girl chips away at Rashida, the jabs are moving too fast for the older girl to defend without giving up her lower body.

Rashida tries to weather the storm early, eating the small stuff and blocking the bigger stuff. She tries to dodge a right hook and instead leans into left-cross. Debby’s glove smacks Rashida square in the nose. The older woman finally has to raise her guard which gives Debby the inroad to start working the body.

Debby pivots, and slams her right hand right into Rashida’s side. The older woman dips and Debby hits her with a downward angle left cross. Rashida’s head snaps down as she stumbles to the ropes, catching the middle rope.

The bell rings just as Debby begins to bear down on Rashida.

“Lucky b*tch…” Debby spits.

Debby Ryan with an excellent opening round, 10-9.

R2: The two women come out and meet in the center of the ring. Ryan is keen to press her advantage from the last round, but Rashida does a good job gumming up the works.

Debby just can’t find any sort of rhythm without Rashida counter punching her way out of it. And when Rashida connects, she does so with authority. Her left glove connects with Debby’s chin and it’s enough to open her up to a few more shots. A nice right cross puts Ryan in some serious trouble.

The only thing Debby can do is punch her way out of it, and she does. Rashida comes barreling forward, but the younger girl snaps off two jabs, slides to the side and rails her opponent in the abdomen.

Rashida doubles over yet again, but this time is able to back away before Debby can do any real punishment.

The Comedienne stands herself up as Debby comes forward. The two trade blows in the center of the ring, but right before the bell signals the end of the round Jones gets another uppercut in that gives her the edge.

Tied up after 2, 19-19.

R3: Rashida starts off hot. Her jab is working really well. Debby is off balance early. Rashia carves through Debby’s defense and works her into a corner.

The Comedienne has tons of power, but as she hammers away at Debby her blows start to get more and more lethargic. Debby smirks and counter-punches. A right-left combo brushes Rashida off allows Debby to slip out of harm’s way.

Debby is able to get around Rashida, dodges a right hook, and follows it up with a left hook of her own. Rashida is dazed and Debby can tell it’s her window of opportunity. A left uppercut followed by a right cross and Rashida is spiraling. Debby tracks Rashida around the ring, threateningly following her and waiting for Rashida to look back up at her.

Rashida throws a wild uppercut and Debby smoothly leans back. Rashida desperately throws a right hook, but once more misses. Debby smirks.

She taunts Rashida, sticking her chin out for the older woman. Rashida goes for another uppercut but Debby leans back and follows up with right cross that spins her opponent around. Rashida drops into the ropes and then slides down onto her knees.

“That’s right!!! Round three, I told you! I told you!!!” Debby celebrates, jogging around the ring as if she just KO’d Mike Tyson.

Rashida isn’t out at all, and uses the ropes to pull herself up onto her feet. Debby stops her celebrating, scowls, and then moves back in. She continues to do damage on Rashida for the next minute. The older woman can’t get any sort of momentum going at all before the bell finally rings.

Debby takes the lead with the knockdown, 29-27.

R4: Round four starts out and it’s all Debby. She is cracking Rashida across the chin with multiple crosses. Switching up beautifully, she can see the desperation in her opponent’s eyes. If she can continue the assault the fight will be over in no time.

Rashida, though not experienced, finds a way out of the damage. She pulls Debby in tight and holds on for dear life. When the ref prys them apart, she’s able to land a few quick jabs before sinking her glove into Debby’s gut.

The younger girl stays steady though and doesn’t let Rashida’s power intimidate her. She stands toe-to-toe with Rashida in the middle of the ring. Rashida unhurls devastating blows, knocking Debby side to side. But Debby doesn’t back down. She follows up with vicious and clean hooks that spin Rashida around. Debby gets the better of the exchange as Rashida finds herself retreating once again.

As soon as Rashida’s back hits the ropes the round is over. Debby wins another one, though not without some pushback from Jones. 39-36, Ryan.

R5: Debby and Rashida pick up where they left off. Meeting each other in the center of the ring. There’s no dancing, no small punches, none of that. Debby is determined to show her toughness and she refuses to use her speed to out-fight Rashida.

The two absolutely throttle one another. A right hook from Debby and it seems like Rashida is going down. But the older woman stays standing and responds with a right cross. Debby works the body. Rashida stays up top.

The Comedienne knows she’s getting out-boxed, so she stays head-hunting. Neither girl is willing to guard up. They’re letting their bodies get absolutely demolished. It’s a game of chicken, who is gonna give first?

Eventually Rashida can’t stand with Debby anymore and has to clinch up once again. Her chin digs into the younger star’s shoulder as she heavily pants.

“You’re going down, sweetie,” whispers Debby.

The ref breaks them apart and a vicious right cross sends Rashida stumbling backwards. Debby follows up with a left.

BAM

Rashida changes direction.

Debby with a right.

BAM

Rashida snaps back the other way. Her backs hit the ropes. She grabs Debby once again in a clinch.

They’re pulled apart. Debby with an uppercut. Debby with a right hook. Debby sneaks another uppercut.

Rashida is in serious peril! She has to retreat to a corner. Debby firing on all cylinders. Her punches smacking Rashida up and down. This is it… the fight is about to be called.

BAM

Out of nowhere, Rashida hits Debby with a right uppercut. Debby is dazed. Rashdia follows up.

BAM

Another uppercut. Rashida has Debby on her heels. The two are in the center of the ring. Debby throws a right hook and Rashida ducks it.

BAM

Once again an uppercut nails Debby and the younger girl falls back flat on her shoulders.

She’s in shock! She scrambles to try to get up, but she can’t keep her footing. The ref is at 7… 8… 9… 10!

Rashida throws her hands in the air, another comeback for The Comediennes!!!

Winner: Rashida Jones KO Round 5

Post-Fight:

“Not bad for an old lady…” says a winking Rashida. “Two fights for our stable, two wins. Pretty good PPV if you don’t mind me saying. Maybe these ‘old ladies’ are on to something? And to Debby, next time you’re going to talk trash… make sure you can go AT LEAST 6 rounds.”

“She’s lucky,” says Debby. “Flat lucky, that’s it. She found an uppercut and like Elyse barely skated by on a win. I don’t care what anyone says. You can’t watch that fight and think she’s the better fighter. I’ll take her on anytime. Any of those flyweight Comediennes. They’re a garbage stable and they’re gonna get theirs soon!”
