Rachel Brosnahan (30 / 5’3” / 2:0 FCBA / The Comediennes)
Ashley Tisdale (35 / 5’3” / 20:29 FCBA/ Free Agent)
Story: The Comediennes / Results: Lookout!
Pre-fight: “Wow, I kind of don’t even know how to respond to that question,” says Rachel. “Well I do, yes. I do belong here. I know I just turned 30 and only have two fights under my belt, but I did win those two fights. Plus, I take boxing seriously. Just as seriously as anyone else in this league. I just haven’t had the fights to back it up yet.”
“The winning streak starts now!” says a giddy Ashley. “Well technically it started when I beat the snot out of that Melissa whats-her-face. But it technically becomes a winning streak when it’s two in a row. So choo-choo bitches, the Tisdale train is about to leave the station!”
R1: The girls tap gloves and then settle into their stances. They trade jabs back and forth, each one connecting some decent enough shots.
Rachel is moving very well however, and is way quicker on her feet than Tisdale. Rachel pops a few clean jabs to Ashley’s nose, and the veteran has to guard up. Rachel takes that opportunity and starts pounding away at Tisdale’s abs. Chipping away at the veteran, Rachel starts to gain some momentum. Ashley is able to stall it though with a beautiful right hook that staggers Rachel.
Ashley goes on the attack, banging away at Rachel’s abs, but Brosnahan recovers nicely. She takes the blows, sways out of the way, and counter punches with a right to Ashley’s cheek. Rachel really begins to pour it on, landing any combo she wants as the bell finally puts a cap on a pretty one sided round. Ashley’s blitz in the middle of the round keeps her from being shut out.
10-9 Brosnahan.
R2: Rachel comes out confident. Still moving well and using her quick fists to frazzle her opponent, Rachel continues to carve up Ashley.
For about a minute Rachel’s combos are just too much for Tisdale and she has nothing to counter. That is until in Rachel’s unexperienced state, she leaves herself wide open to another right hook. This time it comes with a price.
the younger girl is cracked across the top of her head, and instantly a cut opens over her right eye. She winces in pain, but Tisdale wastes absolutely no time. She downright slaughters the wounded Rachel.
An uppercut to the torso, followed by two right hooks to the ribs. Ashley waits until Rachel’s hands drift down and then it’s open season. One-two combos all day as she rallies. Getting Rachel to the ropes, Tisdale tees off all the way until the bell rings. A wobbly Rachel staggers to her corner as she gets heavy attention to that eye.
We’re tied 19-19.
R3: Rachel’s eye is going to be an issue for the remainder of the fight. That’s clear to anyone watching. She comes out tentatively from her corner, as Tisdale takes full advantage.
The two meet in the middle of the ring and Rachel does her best. With her fast fists, she’s still able to land some gorgeous shots. Tisdale however proves to be a bit too much. Rachel counterpunches as much as she can, but Ashley bides her time and knocks her opponent back towards the ropes with an uppercut.
Brosnahan looks like a scared little girl as Tisdale charges her. Ashley shows no mercy. She rocks Rachel back and forth between her gloves. Aiming for the eye, trying to split it open even more. Rachel has to protect it at all costs, which ties up her priorities. She does a decent enough job moving, but Ashley sticks to her even better.
As Rachel’s left hand stays up to protect that eye, Ashley shifts gears and goes to work on the other side of the body. Using her left to crack Rachel’s cheek, the younger girl is spiraling. She grabs hold of the ropes and Ashley busts her in the ribs. Rachel backs into a corner.
Ashley goes all in. She throws a furious flurry. Rachel’s hands start to drift down. It’s open season. Rachel is defenseless! The ref has half a mind to step in and stop the fight. But in the middle of the beat down the bell rings and Rachel just barely survives another round.
29-28 Tisdale.
R4: Fear fills Rachel’s eyes. She’s crying and the ref comes over to warn the corner that he’s going to stop the fight at the first sign of trouble. Milano waves him off and grabs Rachel by the shoulders. She whispers something in her ear. Rachel looks up at her and simply nods.
With blood continuing to come down Rachel’s face, it’s clear that this could be her last round. Tisdale can sense it and comes in early with the huge right hook. Rachel, however skillfully dodges it and shoots an uppercut to Tisdale’s jaw. It’s like Brosnahan knew exactly what Tisale was going to throw! The veteran’s head snaps back and she falls to the mat like a tree that has just been chopped down.
The ref scurries over and begins his count. He gets all the way to eight before Tisdale can fully recover. She shakes her head, confused at what the Hell just happened.
As the action resumes, Rachel now blitzes Tisdale. An absolutely filthy right hand knocks Ashley to the ropes. Rachel’s lightning fasts fists now making short work of Ashley. The veteran has no defense. She has nothing left in her bag. Rachel’s knocking her senseless. Ashley’s arms drop down to her sides. Rachel continues to pound away at her until finally the ref mercifully steps in and calls the fight.
A blooded and battered Rachel Brosnahan throws her hands up in the air as Alyssa Milano comes in and lifts her off of her feet. A tremendous comeback victory for Rachel Brosnahan!
