5. Alexis Ren vs Lorena Rae

Alexis:
(23, 5’8, 41:10 FCBA, VIXENs)

Lorena:
(26, 5’11, 2:2 FCBA, Black Eagle Boxing)

BEFORE:
“After I’m done with this German b*tch, I’m getting back my title!” Ren starts the press conference off with plenty of venom. “I was WINNING that fight with Hill before she got LUCKY, so no, I don’t have a lot of respect for the new champ. One way or another, I’m gonna get my revenge.”

Ren’s clearly still salty about dropping her belt to the newly crowned Taylor Hill, spending a majority of the press conference going off about Hill’s shortcomings and ignoring her actual opponent tonight, who’s sitting right across her at the press table.

“I think I stand a good chance of winning,” Lorena replies later with a smirk of her own. “Hill and I are of the same height and built, and we both don’t really like Ren in the first place. So there’s that. Ren can mouth off all she likes, but at the end of the day, it’s who’s left standing, and who’s laid out on the ground.”

Ladies come together at the podium and you can cut the tension with a knife, with Lorena’s three-inch height advantage looking a little glaring when blonde and brunette size each other up nose-to-nose. Before Ren can lash out with a slap across the cheek or fingernails dug into dark German hair, the ring officials pull them apart and herds them to their respective corners, with both ladies continuing to shoot glares at each other till they exit the room.

Hours later, we’re back in the arena, with Lorena and Alexis squaring up at opposite corners of the ring. Lorena in a simple but elegant black satin bra and laced briefs, red gloves on either hand. Alexis going for a sunflower yellow bikini and white gloves. Referee sounds the bell and HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Lorena humbling the former champ with steady hands shoved into her face early, Alexis’ overconfidence means she ain’t paying enough attention to her own defence, which allows Lorena to soar in and tag her repeatedly on the nose and mouth. Ren couldn’t be this rusty right after dropping the Lightweight belt to Taylor Hill, can she, as she’s rooted to one spot throughout most of the round, looking lost in an ocean as the German model trapezes around her whilst knocking her head back a couple of times? It’s only in the final minute does Ren return from the dead, sending counter-shockwaves into Lorena’s body and face as the two girls trade painful-looking shots in tandem. But by this point in time, Lorena’s already secured an unassailable lead as she takes the first round close.

ROUND 2:
Lorena remains focused, arms up and close to her face as she sallies forth once more to attack. First few jabs to Ren’s arms are taken without venom, the Vixen then shocking the whole arena with a right cross outta nowhere sent to the face! Ughh!! Lorena gets a little taster of her own brew as Ren uses precision to knock her beautiful head back, crunch shot after shot bashing into her pretty face as it’s Rae’s turn to get pushed around the ring and back. Sudden flurries erupt in the center as Lorena fights back with whatever fury she has, both girls refusing to back down as they exchange stiff shots to the chin and cheek, ultimately with Rae still overwhelmed by Ren’s relentless pursuit. Bell rings and Alexis has definitely not emerged unscathed, but she’s happy with her performance this time as she strides back to her corner wearing a cocky grin.

ROUND 3:
More of the same aggression that she’s patented over the years: Alexis wearing her contempt for her opponents on her toned biceps as she sallies forth with power and precision, deigning it fit to overwhelm the relative newcomer with expedience. Rae has no choice but to weather and wither, arms locked over her face but doing little to prevent shots landing to her body and chest, with Ren reaching around as she gets close and knocks another one, two, three hooks into the side of the German’s head, sending Lorena scrambling backwards. You can’t meet fire with fire this time, as Lorena learns the hard way, and the German beauty finally adapts towards the end of the round by staying the f*ck away, more easily evading Ren’s attacks but not landing much of her own, if at all. A shutout round for Alexis which could have ended in a knockdown attempt, we feel, if Ren were a little more calculated in her approach

ROUND 4:
Case in point: Rae rejuvenated somewhat in the fourth, whereas Ren is the one forced to hold back on aggregate as the German model comes in looking to make up for lost time! Ren endures an early jab-jab combo to the nose and another tepid swipe across her face, growls with malice as she swings back and hopes to return the favour. But Lorena braces just in time, stopping the attacks lucky as she pushes Alexis back to her side and against her will. Ren’s turn to take some hard knocks, her focus on offense means her defensive capabilities are suffering, another stray hook catching her flush on the cheek and her head snapped back by an uppercut landing on the chin as well. Ren breathing hard, cursing herself for underestimating her foe as the two ladies reset at opposite positions in the final minute, dancing and circling and jabbing at each other.

ROUND 5:
And a KNOCKDOWN scored early on as Lorena POWERS through the arms with that right cross!! OUCH!! Ren not paying attention sometime in the second minute when her jab blitz landed hard on the guard but without venom, and she pulls back, squares her shoulders to send another force-cross down the middle for emphasis, instead gets her nose CRUNCHED by Lorena’s speed and poise, the German girl already ready and waiting for that opportune moment to SLAM a right cross through and through, sending Ren careening off her feet and onto her back with a clotheslined THUD!! Glorious moment for the challenger as she raises a hand, smirks to the room, having knocked down a former Lightweight champ!!

Ren’s left sputtering, tongue out and eyes wincing as she pushes herself off her back, malice on her face as she slowly gets back up by the count of 8. It’s only round 5, she has to remind herself - plenty of time left to beat this b*tch at her own game. Crowds of course loving the intense action in this main-event as they half-cheer for their respective girls. Rest of the round sees Lorena speeding in for another upset, thumping hooks into the blonde’s body and arms but finding less purchase as Ren covers up and runs.

ROUND 6:
More tightly controlled round, with both girls making careful strides forward and then firing off jab combos ending with hooks or crosses. Lorena, moving slightly confident after that knockdown last round, knows she’s in the lead and just needs to stay focused to perhaps win the match on points. But the finish line is still far off as Ren comes at her repeatedly to even the score. Lorena’s forced to cover up multiple times, grunting as a few of Ren’s fists streak past her guard anyways and land on her cheek and forehead, or pound away on undefended tummy. But Lorena not idle, pays the blonde back with choice fists that smack into her lips and cheek, the German’s bigger swings blocked or avoided by the Vixen, however, as Ren swerves back with excellent head movement,. Close round goes to the Vixen at the end of three minutes, but it’s by a small margin, meaning this fight is still wide open.

ROUND 7:
If anything, this match-up shows how quickly Lorena’s able to hang-and-bang with a former champ, blunting most of Ren’s attacks thus far and even sending her to the canvas a couple of rounds back. She wins the first minute here as well, by our calculation, with some early stingers to Ren’s face, making her grunt and wince and pushed back a couple. But Ren’s not about to lie down and roll over, flies back at her foe once she sees an opening in the second, blasts a fast cross-hand into the side of Lorena’s face, bunching up the cheek with a groan, then a follow-up hook catches the German girl square on the chin, sending her reeling to one side! This might be it! Lorena looks stunned as hell as she stumbles into the ropes unwillingly, barely enough time to spin around before Ren has leapt upon her, continuing to take hard whacks left and right to the body as she struggles to cover up from the sudden onslaught. Ren smells blood and not letting up, gets in CLOSE and personal, planting her feet and wailing away on the German model, throwing her head from side-to-side, another stiff hook to her ribs, which sends Lorena grunting down to the canvas!! A revenge KNOCKDOWN attempt from Alexis Ren!

Still breathing hard, Ren rests both arms on the ropes nearby, barely acknowledging her handiwork as she huffs and puffs and blows those doors down, with Rae left squirming just beneath her feet by the ropes. Referee herds the Vixen back to her own corner whilst starting the count, with Lorena doing her best to grab the ropes with each step clambering up, finally recovering to steady feet by the count of 9! This fight is set to continue!

Ren still brimming with leftover energy, however, doesn’t even have time to scowl when the bell rings to resume, cos’ HERE SHE COMES! Lorena has to survive another minute or so, barely takes one or two steps forward before she’s BLASTED right back into the ropes, groaning as she absorbs another round of abuse from the overeager blonde! Ren bending low, chugging elbows into the lean girl’s body, in and out leather packing into the tummy above the waistline, or swung up across the arms, rocking the German girl this way and that, till Lorena gets stacked upwards from an uppercut to the base of her chin, the next moment has her back bent over with another tummy shot to the pit of belly. Referee JUMPS in to save her from permanent damage!! It’s over!!

Official Decision: Alexis Ren defeats Lorena Rae via TKO7!

AFTER:
Disrespectful pull up as Ren poses over Rae with two fistfuls of dishevelled in her firm grasp, goading the German challenger and towering over her from above. Rae just too abused and spent to respond, blubbering each time she’s slapped across the face or her chin turned upwards to meet Ren’s smirk, her kneeling form posed for the camera flashes like a spent pin-up doll.

Ren finally ends her play-session, shoves Lorena down to the canvas before flexing above proudly for the crowds. It’s an important comeback win for the Vixen, who must surely be eager to get back on the warpath towards the championship gold.

“For now, I’m focused on defending my Saddle-title. Heard Gillies wants to try and take it from me. I can’t afford to lose two belts in a row, you know,” Ren smirks to reporters later on bby ring-side. “After that, HELL yeah. Whichever Taylor is left holding onto the belt, I’ll be sure to be the one gunnin’ for her.”
