(The Sirens vs Free Agent)
Intro: Wembley Stadium hosts the final round of Contender 6 tournament bouts with Melissa Satta and Carolina Austin first up to the plate.
Melissa is also 33 years old; she stands 5'9 ½ and holds a record of 10 wins, herself all by knockout and 4 defeats.
Caroline is 27 years old; she also stands 5'10 and holds a record of 2 wins, both by knockout and 3 defeats.
The fighters were asked for statements before the fight that was played out on BBU TV, with Melissa up first to speak as she sits wearing an Italian football shirt as she sits on a stool.
"What's really to say; Caroline has nothing that makes me afraid of her, the biggest win of her career so far is Jourdan (Dunn) who has proven she didn't belong in this tournament" says Satta as she looks serious.
Before smiling as she continues "all I care about is finishing this tournament with a win to show why I belong in the elite, mostly I want to make my country proud as I have failed in my last few fights" kissing the Italian badge to show how much she loves her homeland.
While Caroline sits down wearing a T-shirt with a heart with an arrow through it, she is all smiles as she begins her speech.
"Every fight has been the challenge I hoped, I know I haven't won as many as I hoped but every time I step in that ring my opponent has seen what I am about" says the Aussie as she nods to herself.
Pointing at the camera; Carolina says "Melissa I know you will be taking me as an easy win in your mind, let's see how you feel when we are face to face and I don't back down, I bully you when I see my openings and you find yourself on your ass asking what happened?"
Fight night; Melissa comes out with her trainer Henry Cavrill, she bounces on her toes before she begins her march down the aisle, eyes burning with determination.
She is wearing a light blue sports bra, matching trunks with a green and red stripe up each side, blue shoes and gloves while her hair is in a ponytail.
Stepping into the ring; Melissa looks fully focused as she jogs over to her corner without looking out at the crowd, limbering up as she talks to Henry in the game plan.
Now out comes Caroline with her coach behind her, she is smiling as she jogs down to the ring, waving to the crowd as she goes.
She is wearing an emerald green sports bra, matching trunks with gold stripes up the sides, green gloves with gold thumbs and green shoes, her hair is also in a ponytail.
Once she is in the ring she tells Melissa "you're going to get a rude awakening" winking at her opponent, who just stares intensely back.
The fighters are brought to the center of the ring, where they go nose to nose as Caroline is smiling, confident clearly that she can upset the odds.
When asked to touch gloves there's a quick swipe of them, before they turn to jog back to their corners, ready to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.
Round 1: As the bell rings; Caroline starts off strong as she moves around her opponent, flicking jabs into her face as she dances up on her toes.
Melissa doesn't get too much freedom though as she looks to land a big right, missing more often then not though as Henry shouts for her to relax.
Which the Italian seems to do as she lands a jab to the nose of her opponent, following up with a right hook that stops Caroline moving around.
Melissa bullies the Aussie back onto the ropes, working the body at first to bring down Caroline's guard, then she swings over the top to turn Caroline's head.
Forcing Caroline to clinch up already; the referee forced to break them apart, giving Caroline space to start working from again, Melissa though comes forwards with her punches keeping Austin on the outside of the ring.
The bell rings to end the round with both women getting a taste what the other can do, the Sirens camp though look happier with Melissa's work.
Round 2: Caroline again comes out the stronger; using her footwork to keep the gap where she wants it, drilling Melissa as the older fighter looks to power her backwards.
Melissa lands two body shots when she does get in, she gets nudged back to the outside and eats a straight to her nose to ward her back.
The range is being controlled by Caroline, whose keeping the power of her opponent at arms length, Caroline marking up the face of Satta with her punches.
When Melissa swings a right cross; she misses as Caroline sidesteps her, landing a counter right across the face of the Italian to open her up to more straight punches.
Melissa forced onto her heels as she is pressed back by Caroline, who looks to be enjoying being the one bullying her opponent as the round comes to a close.
Austin's corner smiles as she returns to them after a great round for her, reminding Melissa how dangerous she is when she gets going.
Round 3: The speed of Caroline is what is looking to be giving the younger fighter the early advantage in the early parts of the rounds, allowing her to drill her opponent to the face.
Melissa's face is looking marked up as she has to keep her guard up while trying to close the distance, something she is struggling to do as Caroline keeps changing directions to stay away from being in Satta's firing line.
The better work rate is coming from Caroline, whose looking confident as she is taking less punches then she is giving her opponent.
Melissa does find a way to keep Austin in front of herself, landing a left cross as she reads the Aussie's movement, followed by an uppercut that puts Caroline on the back foot.
Now Caroline is covering up as Melissa goes to bat on her, the younger fighter does manage to block more then she takes, the ones that get through though snap the head of Austin back.
The round ends with Caroline almost skipping back to her corner, happy with the way she is out boxing Melissa, her coach is happy with her effort as they discuss what to do next.
Round 4: Melissa is looking to close that distance early, moving her head to dodge more punches as she steps on the front foot.
Caroline still looks comfortable though as her jab is stinging the cheeks of her opponent as she keeps on her bike, taking only a few punches back at her body.
Then as Melissa feints with her left; when Caroline moves left she takes a right across her face, Melissa now is on the inside to bash the Aussie backwards.
Caroline is forced to try to slug it out with Melissa; which isn't what the younger fighter wants to do allowing Melissa to back her up with an uppercut cutting through the guard of Austin to snap her head back.
Soon Melissa has Caroline backed into a corner, where Caroline has to cover up as the Siren's fighter is throwing hooks around the guard to land to the side of her opponent's head.
The round ends with Melissa jogging back to her corner looking serious, eyes unblinking as she stares across the ring at Caroline as they sit on their stools.
Round 5: Both fighters trade single punches as they engage, Melissa taking several punches straight through her gloves onto her face, till she is able to parry a right to open Caroline up for a right cross.
Melissa steps in closer to work; bashing Caroline onto the ropes as the Aussie tries to cover up, an uppercut again breaks her guard and allows Melissa to wobble her with hooks.
Caroline looks to clinch but is pushed back with a left forearm, AN UPPERCUT AGAIN SLAMS ON CAROLINE'S CHIN, THIS TIME SLIDING HER DOWN THE ROPES TO HER BACKSIDE!
Melissa roars "f*** yes!" As she jogs off to a neutral corner, the referee kneels down to check on Caroline, who they deem is knocked out so waves the fight off!
Winner Melissa Satta KO Round 5
After: While Melissa hasn't had a great tournament, this knockout will remind rivals that she is still a very dangerous fighter in this division.
Caroline on the other hand has to be woken up by her coach with smelling salts, she shakes her head as she clears the fog from it.
She punches the canvas before her coach helps her up, but Caroline leans back onto the ropes; her coach deciding she needs to be helped to the back so they can check on her away from the ring.
Melissa doesn't even notice Caroline is gone, she gets her gloves taken off and is already wanting to discuss whose next, that hunt for a title shot means too much to her to think about anything else right now.
Well except getting her hand raised by the referee, flexing her left arm as her right goes up, she thanks the fans for cheering by blowing kisses to them.
Then the Sirens leave the ring; this tournament wasn't everything she wanted but she has more experience at the top level, which will only benefit her as she moves forwards.
