Zara Holland vs Amelle Berrabah

BEFORE:

Former Miss Great Britain Zara Holland has earned her status as Kear's Kats flyweight leader and there's every chance she'll earn her lineal title shot sooner rather than later unless Diana Korkunova keeps ducking her on purpose? Zara tries to channel her wrath elsewhere for the time being and refuses to answer questions about the current flyweight champion however she vows to "beat this overrated cow Berrabah" instead.

Amelle's career might have peaked back in 2017 when she was ultimately destroyed by Cheryl Cole in a title bout and has struggled to bounce back following that ugly pounding. Aged 36 Berrabah's chances to restore her contender status are running thin and if she suffers another bad loss tonight, she might settle for gatekeeping duty if not worse according to BBU TV's Denise van Outen.

Zara Holland wears a pink bikini set with silver trim & silver gloves. Long blonde hair in loose waves. Amelle Berrabah wears a yellow bikini set & brown gloves. Long dark brown hair with blonde dye straight. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Zara strikes first and outworks the singer in a straight-up jabbing dispute before blasting her on the lips with a quick cross hook. Amelle tries to stay in the point-blank range but she's not imposing her will on the feisty blonde who keeps plugging her up the middle instead and the older girl simply has to bail out of the jam down the stretch. This allows Holland to pounce on her with more intimidating leather and she clobbers the reeling Berrabah onto the ropes where she sends more head shots to underline her surge. Amelle responds from behind the guard but her single shots barely graze the blonde's flesh and she gets bumped onto the turnbuckle with Holland cracking more crisp shots to bury the singer behind a tight earmuff come the bell.

Round 2:
Amelle tries to beat the contender with an injection of speed but Zara matches her for the jabbing power and drags the singer into a slugging dispute she eventually dominates when she lands several nasty strikes on the mouth. Amelle slumps to her heels with a whimper and swings wide over the blonde's head before getting blasted on the chin again as Zara barks in her efforts to really put some heat on the former title challenger. Amelle refuses to back off and lands a good jabbing combo on the pageant's face but gets drilled on the jaw from the inside and her head rocks back & forth thereafter when Zara jumps on the uppercut speed dial and spins the singer back to the ropes. Amelle is slow to raise her arms and eats a brutal cross hook on the nose that dumps her behind another desperate earmuff to close out the round.

Round 3:
Zara comes in hot and splits Amelle's high guard to resume the head-hunting blast much to the crowd's delight. Berrabah tries to respond but she's visibly struggling to match the blonde's intensity and gets stuffed on her heels when Holland outworks her in the process. Amelle's lips begin to swell as she soaks up more punches and she can't stop the younger woman from pounding her onto the ropes again with Zara's bullying deemanour fully taking over this contest. Amelle disappears behind another earmuff but Holland finally plugs her in the midsection and keeps hammering away downstairs to the point the brunette can only clinch her into safety. However Zara breaks free and bashes a late cross-hooking combo to split the high guard and she blasts her subdued opponent on the nose as well to spill some blood right at the bell. Amelle is shocked after her nostrils were squashed in such ruthless fashion and shakes her head in clear frustration during the interval.

Round 4:
Amelle soaks up a faceful of leather early in the fourth and all that patchwork gets undone fast as Zara simply pummels her up the middle and connects with that damaged nose to leak more fluid inside the opening minute. Amelle is visibly shaken up as she simply can't stop the blonde from punching her into a boody mess and struggles to respond in a sluggish fashion. She gets thumped back to the ropes where Zara ignores the desperate high guard for a change and tears into her abs to bend her sideways upon impact. Holland simply reigns supreme in the second minute and bulldozes Berrabah's midsection to the point the brunette HAS TO TAKE A KNEE just to get a breather. Blood is still seeping from her nostrils but the ref doesn't call for a medical break and allows Zara to thump the singer into a standstill instead. Amelle took a standard eight count but she finds no answers to this aggressive attack and bellows out on top of the ropes amid loud spasms; Zara lifts her jugs through some heavy uppercuts but quickly glues her mitts into the singer's stomach instead and leaves Amelle choking on spasms come the bell.

Round 5:
There's not much fighting spirit left in Amelle after the initial jabbing blast hoofs her high guard aside and allows Holland to tear into her face again. She slumps on her heels in the center of the ring while Zara's silver gloves are marked with blood as she lands more punches on the nose to cripple the older woman into loud spasms. A couple of nasty hooks on each temple render Berrabah numb and a follow up shot on the left ear finally breaks her dwindling resistance for good. DOWN GOES AMELLE!!! The proud singer crashes down on her back with eyes closed and Zara can celebrate with coach Gail Kim once it becomes clear the former Sugababes singer won't rise anymore. The count is waved off at seven and it's KO5 Zara Holland in ultra-dominant fashion!

AFTER:

Zara notches up her 10th victory in a row and even BBU TV's Denise van Outen believes she's a true #1 title contender in this shape. However will that be enough to catch the champion's attention? Diana Korkunova has ignored the blonde pageant for months already so maybe Zara's best chance to earn a title shot is for Gemma Merna to beat the Russian stunner later tonight instead?

"These allegedly elite fighters are simply SCARED of me! That's the truth!", Zara tells Charlie Webster in her post-fight interview, "Amelle is a past-prime artist but at least she had the guts to accept my challenge. I can only wait for that phone to ring and who knows, maybe I get what I truly deserve before too long? Wish me luck! Go Gemma!" (winks).
