Alina Vacariu (Romanian Invasion) v Rozanna Purcell (Double A Boxing)

It is perhaps a shame that these girls are fighting at the semi final stage of this tournament, instead of in the final, and both babes look fantastic, Alina in a scarlet lingerie set, and Rozanna in green vest and panties

Round 1
The girls are respectful of each other from the opening bell, and Alina’s moving well tonight, going back and forth and side to side, although she’s not really throwing too many punches, and as time goes on, she’s getting picked off a little by Rozanna’s left jab, and she needs to get inside that and try to hit the Irish girl’s body, but Rozanna’s having none of it though, and the tall girl is just starting to dominate the Romanian, pokes her steadily backwards until she has her static in a neutral corner, and Alina’s not getting out of there as Rozanna lands a series of straight punches to Alina’s face, giving her plenty to think about as she controls the closing stages of the opening round, Alina now very aware that this is a real test

Round 2
Off the girls go again, and Rozanna keeps doing what she does so well, using her height and reach to punish her opponent, just jabbing Alina’s face, with the Romanian blinking and puffing as she takes more punishment, and she’s trying to mix it up at close quarters, wanting to get the Irish girl to trade punches with her, and now it’s her turn to push her opponent backwards, but Rozanna isn’t going to be bullied by the lovely Alina, and she jabs and then swats Alina’s face with solid right and left hand punches to stop her, the Romanian’s cheeks turning pink as she takes more punishment from a fairly unfazed Rozanna, who is making a mockery of those who said she would get her comeuppance tonight

Round 3
Off her stool quickly for this round, Alina’s working hard, keeping her defence nice and tight, and she’s beginning to bother Rozanna, giving the taller girl some good punches to her body, Rozanna backing off, sticking out that jab, but not really landing anything substantial, keeping her gloves up, her elbows in, waiting for a sweating Alina to tire, maybe? She certainly isn’t tiring just yet, as she carries on working to the Irish girl’s body, Rozanna keeping her guard solidly intact though, and Alina’s looking rather downcast as she slowly realises that she isn’t hurting the taller girl, and may need something special to land a big shot to her face

Round 4
Rozanna stands in front of Alina, and the girls trade immediately, the Irish babe knocking Alina’s head backwards, Alina coming second in that opening exchange, Rozanna looking confident as ever, but she again gets pushed backwards, and continues with her ‘rope-a-dope’ tactics, and contents herself with just letting Alina have the occasional straight punch to her body, but the Romanian may be starting to tire, and, sensing this, Rozanna’s off the ropes in the final stages of the round, and she bangs some good punches into Alina, turns her, and lets her have some stinging punches around her cheeks and jaw, Alina looking weary and staggering a little, Rozanna looking pleased with herself at the end of the round

Round 5
Although she seems to have tired very quickly tonight, still Alina’s coming forwards, but Rozanna’s beginning to look back to her dominant best, no longer standing still, and she swiftly works the Romanian backwards and sideways, then bangs in a series of bodyshots, left and right handed shots cracking into the older girl’s lovely body, and that’s opened her up, Rozanna stunning her with a short left handed uppercut, and, with a right hook to follow, Alina hits the canvas hard – she doesn’t get up, just lays on her back and gets counted out

Result: Rozanna Purcell knocked out Alina Vacariu in round 5

It has to be said that Alina was disappointing tonight, lacking in power and resistance, Rozanna never tested, and able to sail into the tournament final
