(Chimera vs Lookout! Boxing Atlantic)

Intro:
The second Contender 6 tournament bout sees Alice Goodwin and Doutzen Kroes fight for the runners up spot, Alice having home field advantage here in Wembley Stadium.

Doutzen is 34 years old; she stands 5'10 and holds a record of 15 wins, 14 by knockout with 8 defeats, she is a former BBU lightweight champion.

Alice is 33 years old; she stands 5'8 and holds a record of 10 wins, all by knockout and 4 defeats.

The fighters gave statements in the build up for the fight to BBU TV, Doutzen was up first on the hot seat wearing a navy blue dress.

"This is one of the fights I was looking forwards too when I saw who else was in the tournament, Alice has proven she is tough with a power punch that's worried plenty, I love the test" Doutzen says with a smile.

"I've proven I can fight at this weight so after this tournament I'll be keeping working here to continue my goal of being a two weight world champion, my career is on the rise" finishes Kroes as she stands up to leave.

Now Alice is up wearing a black dress that shows off her bust, she says "Doutzen is good I'll admit but she hasn't the power to hold me off, expect me to knockout Kroes before you get your first drink in"

Alice continues by saying "after this tournament I might go for the JMDD title or go for the welterweight title, I'm going to show the world that I'm the best around here"

Fight night; Doutzen heads towards the ring with Nicole Ritchie beside her, she throws a few punches on her way as she looks to be getting into fight mode.

She is wearing an orange sports bra, matching trunks, gloves and shoes showing her national pride, while her blonde hair is braided.

After getting into the ring; Doutzen bows to each side of the ring, then heads over to her corner where she shadow boxes to warm up.

Alice is next out with her coach Charlize Theron beside her, Alice grins as her fans are chanting "kill! Alice! Kill!" Pumping her up by the looks of it.

She is wearing a white sports bra, tight white trunks with red trim, red gloves and white shoes, her hair is also braided for the fight ahead.

Climbing into the ring; Alice gives the fans a wave but Charlize is quick to remind her to keep all her focus on the former champion she is facing, making Alice nod as she looks to get serious.

Soon enough the fighters are at the center of the ring, eyes locked as they shake their arms, no real malice in their eyes but neither will be taking the other lightly.

They touch gloves respectfully when asked before turning to head off to their corners, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
As the action begins it is clear that Doutzen wants to keep the powerful Alice at range, the Dutch fighter moving around the ring with a stiff jab her main weapon early on.

Alice has always had the issue of being more flat footed in her movement, allowing her opponent the freedom to move so they can land the cleaner punches of the two.

Though Alice gets to give Doutzen a taste of her power when she times her attack better, parrying a straight to counter with one of her own right onto the lips of Kroes.

Alice following up with several more punches that forces Doutzen near the ropes, the former champion though using her left to shove Alice to her face so she can move back into space.

Where the boxing skills of Doutzen can control the tempo, her punches keeping Alice at the range she wants as the volume of punches from Kroes looks to be more impressive so far then the single punches Alice can land.

The round ends with Alice looking annoyed that she couldn't unload on Doutzen, who gets a nod from Nicole as she returns to her corner after a great start to the fight.

Round 2:
As the action resumes; Doutzen clearly has a game plan to take the power of Alice out of this fight, she is showing off her impressive skills to dodge and counter as Alice gets more aggressive.

Charlize looks frustrated with Alice as she watches her swing more big hooks then set up shots with her jab, which is allowing Doutzen the chance to see punches coming before countering them.

An overhand right catches Alice to the side of her head, forcing her to cover up as Doutzen moves inside to work the body with hooks.

Till this time it's Goodwin giving Kroes a little shove to back her off, the Brit managing to land two punches to the face of Doutzen to show she won't be subdued all the fight.

But Doutzen is quick to get back to stick and moving, taking less punches then she is dealing out as Alice can't seem to cut the ring off.

The bell rings to end another dominant round for Doutzen, who looks a lot calmer then her opponent across the ring, with Charlize reminding Alice to pick her punches.

Round 3:
For the first time in the fight Alice is working behind a stiff jab, it's allowing her to gauge the range better, even if Doutzen still looks to be landing the crisper punches early on.

Alice manages to land a double jab to the top of Doutzen's head, she follows up quickly with a right cross as she pushes her opponent behind her guard.

With Doutzen moving around the outside of the ring trying to fire out single punches to ward off Goodwin, who simply parries them away as she closes the distance to work.

Alice lands a left hook to the body that opens up space for a straight to pierce the guard of her opponent, she's beginning to bully Doutzen on a set of ropes.

Doutzen forced into a position she didn't want, trading with Alice at this range isn't the plan, it shows why as Alice lands the harder shots, keeping Doutzen wielded to the ropes.

Till the bell rings with Alice getting a smile from Charlize, the Chimera corner much more happier now after getting one round surely on the board.

Round 4:
The fighters start off trading more evenly now they are both firing jabs out, Alice looking to walk down her opponent though as she continues to move forwards.

With Doutzen needing to use her experience to dodge the power shots to keep away from the ropes like the last round, she is able to land some tasty shots to the body to make Alice groan out.

But a straight punch catches her on top of her head as she dips down, with two cross punches following to make her back up.

Once again Alice is bashing Doutzen back into a defensive shell, her work rate is rising as Doutzen struggles to fight out of her guard.

When Doutzen tries to slip to the ring; Alice gives her a shove into a corner which earns her a warning, she doesn't care as she steps in to try to pin Kroes against the turnbuckles with her punches.

An electric exchange takes place; both women desperate to achieve their goals; one to keep the other in the corner, the other to escape it.

It's Alice winning that argument as she lands the cleaner shots to knock Doutzen back into the corner, when the bell rings to end the round blood is trickling from the lips of Doutzen, which her corner have to work on as they get more frantic after a strong start to the fight.

Round 5:
Alice is beginning to look more confident; stepping forwards with more combination punches coming from her.

She takes the center of the ring early after landing a three punch combination to the face of Kroes, who is boxing while moving around the outside of the ring.

When Alice goes for a straight to pin Doutzen against the ropes, the blonde dodges by dipping down, then lands an uppercut to remind Goodwin who she is in the ring with.

Doutzen begins to back up Alice now with straight shots to her face, the crowd are willing Alice to show her whose boss but they have to watch their girl get knocked onto a set of ropes.

But Alice manages to deflect a right cross; landing a right to the ribs followed by an overhand left to the side of Kroes face to make her back off.

Both women stare hard at the other as they move in to trade, Alice landing the stiffer shots, while Doutzen is landing the greater volume by dodging then countering.

The round comes to an end with both showing the marks of battle, Alice's cheeks are puffy looking, while blood runs from Doutzen's lips down her chin.

Round 6:
It looks like Doutzen is going to be a little more aggressive as she works at a more closer range, maybe more confident after the last exchange as she continues to slip punches before landing stiff shots of her own.

When Alice is able to land her shots it is backing Doutzen up, the crafty veteran though keeps holding onto Alice to slow down her assaults, forcing the referee to break them apart so she can reset.

Where Kroes slips a right cross to land an overhand left across the cheek, followed by an uppercut that rocks Goodwin onto her heels.

The Brit is forced into her shell as that combo clearly hurt her, Doutzen backs her up around the ring as she unloads on the body of Alice, till she is clinched up by the brunette.

After they are broken apart; Doutzen continues to be the aggressor, maybe thinking she has Alice badly hurt as her opponent to protecting herself more.

The round comes to a close with the Lookout! Corner looking relieved that Doutzen looks to have wrestled control back of the fight.

In the opposite corner Charlize is giving Alice a pep talk, telling her to make her punches count or she'll be going home crying, which gets Alice to nod in reply.

Round 7:
Doutzen is looking to build off the last round by continuing to slip punches to create openings, with her landing cleanly to the body.

When she goes to dip down this time; Alice reads it and lands an uppercut that straightens Doutzen into a left hook that makes her stumble to the side.

Doutzen has to cover up as Alice comes on the attack, the Dutch fighter looks buzzed as punches go through her guard to snap her head back.

Clinching up with Alice; Doutzen is shaking her head to try to clear it, the referee steps in to break them apart as Doutzen raises her guard straight away.

As Alice comes on the front foot; Doutzen manages to dodge several punches but when a right catches her across her bloody lips, she is opened up to more power punches that knocks her head around.

With late in the round Alice knocking Doutzen onto the ropes, where her face is being hammered by punch after punch, the referee standing close by but the bell rings to end the punishment.

Doutzen slowly returns to her corner as blood runs from a cut under her right eye, the Lookout! Crew are working hard to patch her up after a brutal round for her.

Round 8:
As the bell rings to start; Doutzen is in defence mode right away, clearly still hurting as she fires out jabs to try to keep Alice at range.

Alice is looking a little too keen to finish this as she comes in swinging with punches Doutzen sees from a mile away, making them easy to dodge.

But Doutzen isn't throwing much in counters like before, which is giving Alice the confidence to continue coming forwards with more straight shots to gauge the distance now.

Doutzen tries to move to the left of Alice; a left hook though catches her and that cut is reopened, Alice smelling blood in the water begins pounding Kroes backwards.

Trying to clinch up with Alice only earns Doutzen a shove; AN UPPERCUT FOLLOWS THAT SENDS DOUTZEN ONTO HER BACK STARING AT THE LIGHTS!

A loud roar fills the stadium as Alice pumps her right fist in the air, 1...2...3... Doutzen blinks as she barely stirs, 4...5...6... As she spits her gumshield out it looks like she's given up even attempting to get up, 7...8...9...10 ending up counted out!

Winner Alice Goodwin KO Round 8

After:
That's runners up spot sewn up for Alice! She is a little too tired to do much more then raise her fists in the air and soak in the cheers of the crowd.

While the ringside doctor alongside Nicole looks to patch up Doutzen, helping her sit up as she holds her chin, admitting "f*** she hits hard" Nicole nodding in agreement.

Doutzen gets a round of applause from the crowd as she is helped to stand up after an impressive effort, helping to make this a great back and forth clash.

Alice after getting cleaned up goes over to offer a hand shake to Doutzen, who nods as she accepts the show of respect, though that's all they extend as they don't say a word as Alice returns to her corner.

Once both fighters are cleaned up; they head to the center of the ring for the result to be announced, Alice all smiles as her arm is raised.

Doutzen shows her class by applauding Alice, though she is quick to leave with Nicole's help, Nicole telling her "we can focus on building the rest of the year off this tournament, maybe even a title shot by the end of the year" making Doutzen smile.

Inside the ring Alice thanks Charlize for all her help in the tournament, with Charlize telling her "this is just the beginning for you, I'll do my best to get you ready to be a champion" Alice hugs Charlize to show her gratitude.

They leave the ring together full of joy at finishing this tournament strong, Alice was close to winning this tournament herself so definitely big things look in her future if she can keep this momentum going.
