Inna vs Stephanie Davis

BEFORE: The Romanian Invasion stable delays the otherwise ineviteable flyweight supremacy battle between Inna and Elena Gheorghe because the former still has plans on her own. That includes taking out the former hot prospect Stephanie Davis whose career has stalled for good ever since she went 0-5 on the Flyweight Contenders tournament at the start of 2018. However coach Gail Kim vows to revive Stephanie's nose-diving stock and hopes to deliver a grudge beating on the Romanian singer tonight. Inna's overall record remains below .500 but she's still regarded as one of the toughest competitors around and shouldn't be underestimated whatsoever. Davis vows to beat her up anyway but let's see if she can actually walk the proverbial walk? Invasion manager Corina Caragea dismisses the Brit as "yapping puppy" so the verbal barbs have been fired alright!

Inna wears a red bikini set & yellow gloves. Shoulder-lenght raven-black hair straight. Stephanie Davis wears a turquoise bikini set & white gloves. Long black hair tied in a custom ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Both girls jumps into a heavy-slugging approach where Stephanie gets the better licks as she drives her mitts into the singer's face and spins her to the side when she loops a hook into her ear as well. Inna stumbles backwards and gets tagged by another wild swing as Davis powers ahead with more steam and pounds the older brunette onto the ropes come the one-minute mark. Inna squeals in her counter-punching efforts but Stephanie keeps getting the better of her and scythes her straight up the middle with the Romanian guard suddenly looking very shaky here. Inna bellows out in a desperate earmuff come the final minute and doesn't even clinch the charging Brit who pounds her to the body in relentless fashion late in the going to underline her dominance.

Round 2:
Inna fires back over the top but Stephanie maintains the slugging advantage and outworks the singer in a close range dispute. She keeps landing better shots into Inna's face and wobbles her to the side after another scything blow on the mouth. Inna begins to look a little swollen around those lips already and Davis keeps working on that area until she pounds the older brunette back to the ropes where the Romanian finally earns herself a clinching respite. But Stephanie still tackles her to the body and keeps pinned in a precarious position until an accidental head-butt breaks them apart. Inna escapes the trap as the actress is slow to react but she spends remainder of the round chasing the retreating singer around the ring to extend her lead on the cards.

Round 3:
Here comes Davis again - she squares up to the struggling singer but eats a heavy uppercut double for a change which finally allows Inna to dictate the action for a while. She makes the most of it and tears a small gash under Stephanie's left eye - and that makes coach Gail Kim really angry in the Kats corner - before looping a right hook on the ear. Stephanie finds herself yielding real estate thereafter as Inna smacks her on the chin a couple of times before a brutal harpoon slices the liver area and dumps the Brit off into full retreat mode. Inna displays superior footwork to trap the younger brunette on the ropes where she pierces her ribcage with more pesky harpoons and that finally brings a smile on Corina Caragea's face in the Invasion corner!

Round 4:
Stephanie keeps swinging upstairs but Inna's improved mobility allows her to escape the hectic rush and she tackles the Brit downstairs to slam leather straight into her tattoos instead. Davis gets crippled by one nasty gut shot too many and wobbles forward with a whimper just as the singer whacks her with an uppercut double on the chin! Uh-oh! Stephanie loses her balance and almost goes down but she somehow stays upright... for like one second since Inna SMOKES her with a brutal right hook on the mouth! DOWN GOES DAVIS!!! The former Hollyoaks babe just couldn't embrace that last shot anymore and spawls across the canvas with coach Gail Kim losing her mind over in the Kats corner. However Stephanie recovers at seven and nods back at the ref who waves at Inna and both brunettes suddenly batter each other in the center of the ring as the action cranks up much to the virtual fans delight! Inna slams a left/right combo into the Brit's face... and another one before the clock expires and saves Davis from a looming disaster. She slumps on the ropes with her lips badly swollen but she's still alive in this one!

Round 5:
Stephanie's footwork isn't good enough to avoid another point-blank range war of attrition and she soaks up a faceful of leather early in the fifth before Inna pierces her solar plexus to take the steam right out of the younger brunette's lungs. Ugh! Davis wobbles forward but fails to lock a much-needed clinch and gets BLASTED on the jaw from the inside. She slumps to her heels with eyes closed and eats another vicious uppercut on the jaw that SENDS HER DOWN FOR THE COUNT!!! And this time she can't stay off the boards as the merciless count passes her by! KO5 Inna in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: The victorious Romanian singer waves her glove over at Gail Kim and plants her foot on top of Stephanie's midriff tattoo. The defeated actress squeals in pain and bursts into tears before Corina Caragea finally pulls her fighter away. BBU TV's Denise van Outen catches up with the Romanians to ask them about the ineviteable flyweight match-up and Corina confirms Elena Gheorghe is ready to fight Inna under official BBU sanctions as early as next month but that contest might still be delayed if Inna receives another high-profile opportunity. "I'm still gonna knock everyone out!", Inna chimes in with her prediction that sounds arrogant enough to make some of her fellow peers cringe in disapproval. Watch this space!
