(Downunder Boxing vs Foxfire Boxing)
Intro: Tonights main event here in the works famous Royal Albert Hall sees veteran Miranda Kerr take on rising star Sophie Turner.
Miranda is 36 years old; she stands 5'9, holding a record of 30 wins, 29 coming by way of knockout, with just 7 defeats, she is the current ACB bantamweight champion, a former BBU bantamweight and lightweight champion and a Queen of the Ice Hotel.
Sophie is 23 years old; she is also 5'9, holding a record of 12 wins, all coming by way of knockout, with 7 defeats.
The two fighters met at the press conference, coming nose to nose with smiles on their faces, they shook hands before heading to their seats to begin the event properly.
It was Miranda who spoke first, telling the journalists "it is nice to be back in the UK fighting on a BBU card, it has been a while" looking genuinely excited to be there.
Turning to Sophie; she says "we are the main event, you are definitely improving with each fight I see, but I am coming here to win Sophie, so sorry to disappoint you and your fans when I knock you out" a more sterner tone now.
Sophie nods before replying "first I want to say I have great respect for Miranda, you don't win as many accolades without being a true great"
Then she smirks as she adds "I am creating my own legacy though, I want to win all the titles I can and sorry to burst you bubble Miranda, I am going to knock you out with my friends and family backing me up"
Both women nod with a smile; their may not be any dislike between the two, they both know though that soon they will be going through the other for a way towards gold they hope in future.
Fight night; Miranda is out first with her coach Nikki Visser beside her, she is smiling as she heads down the ring with a strut to her step, ever confident understandably when you have the record she does.
She is wearing a baby blue sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, her brunette hair is tied back into a fighting ponytail.
Climbing into the ring, Miranda waves to the fans as she heads off to her corner, stretching to warm up as Nikki is discussing tactics with her.
Now out comes Sophie to a heroes welcome, she has Rachel Nichols next to her as she bows at the top of the aisle, then heads down to the ring smiling warmly.
She is wearing a red sports bra, with red trunks with a white strip down the side, red shoes and white gloves, her red hair is also tied into a ponytail.
Climbing into the ring; Sophie jogs around the ring, nodding to Miranda as she passes her, while the crowd chant for her as she finishes the lap in her corner, warming up smiling as Rachel tells her not to disappoint the fans.
The fighters are brought to the center of the ring by the referee, where the fighters are shaking their arms to keep limber, eyes locked together as the referee finishes their instructions.
Touching their gloves up; they jog back to their corners as their coaches give them their final instructions, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.
Round 1: "Ding" the fighters step towards the center of the ring, throwing stiff jabs towards the others face as they circle, Sophie getting the chants from the crowd as she smirks.
That smirk disappears when Miranda lands a straight between her gloves, a left follows to turn the head of the Brit as Miranda begins to step forwards.
The Aussie steps on the front foot, keeping Sophie behind her guard as she throws at the head, most getting blocked but ones that get through knock Turner's head back.
Needing to give Miranda a small shove so she can move away off the ropes, Sophie gets her rhythm going as she moves up on her toes scoring her punches to the face and body of her opponent.
Late in the round though Miranda deflects a left and lands a left cross of her own, knocking Sophie back with another two clean punches to her face.
When the bell rings Miranda turns on her heel to return to her corner, while Sophie gets told off Rachel "don't get too relaxed babe! You could park a bus through your gloves there!"
Round 2: Again they settle into trading stiff jabs as Miranda is looking to close the ring off, not give Sophie room to work in as they trade more punches in close when Sophie is stuck near the ropes.
Landing a left across Miranda's head to open up space, Sophie moves away from the ropes as she dances up on her toes, flicking her stiff jab into the top of Miranda's head.
Sophie's speed is starting to show as she seems fully warmed up now, landing the cleaner punches as she makes Kerr hunt her down.
Miranda does manage to get in close to land two rights to the body, taking a right to the side of her head as Sophie tries to get her opponent off her.
The redhead nudges Miranda back, landing a straight off the top of her head, stepping in close with a left to the body then an overhand right across Kerr's face to knock her back.
The round ends with Sophie nodding as she heads back to her head, Rachel looking happier as she tells Sophie that's what she wants to see.
Round 3: Sophie is starting to look the faster fighter, drilling her punches into the cheeks of her opponent, keeping her to the outside and away from that big right hand.
When Miranda gets in range she smacks Sophie on her lips with a jab, a right lands to the top of the redheads head to open up Turner.
Being forced near the ropes; Sophie has to cover up as Miranda works the body, throwing a left across the cheek of the model, Sophie uses her right to push Miranda back.
Leaning out the way of a left cross; Sophie counters with two rights straight into the face of the veteran, landing a left hook as she backs up Miranda near the ropes.
The crowd loving the sight of Miranda now being kept behind her guard, Sophie switching her punches up nicely to keep Miranda guessing where she is going to get hit.
The bell rings to end the round with Sophie getting praised by Rachel, as Nikki across the ring tells Miranda to stop messing around and hurt this bytch.
Round 4: Tightening her guard up as Sophie is trying to keep her jab in Miranda's face, the veteran is being more patient with her attacks.
Ducking a straight; Miranda throws a right across the mouth of Sophie, a follow up left opens up a cut on the bottom lip of Turner.
A straight snaps Sophie's head back; Miranda knocks Sophie back to the ropes, keeping in close to work the body of the youngster.
Sophie starts fighting back leading to a heated exchange, heads get knocked around as Miranda lands a right across the face of Turner to open her up to more head shots.
The round ends with Miranda looks at the canvas as she returns to her corner, ignoring the parts of the crowd booing, Nikki telling her to keep hurting Sophie.
Round 5: Stepping out their corners, they are trading more combinations as Miranda looks to cut off the ring again.
They both land hard punches to the others face as Miranda forces the action at midrange, Sophie getting knocked back by a straight on her bloody lips.
When Sophie is put near the ropes, she lands a left out her guard, ducking a right hook as she counters with two rights to the ribs, before nudging the Aussie back to move away from the ropes.
Sophie catches Miranda coming in with a left to her nose when the veteran comes at her, dipping down to work the body of Miranda after dodging a left cross.
The round ends with Turner looking happy as she returns to her corner, the crowd cheering again as they see Miranda look frustrated returning to her corner.
Round 6: Looking to push back Sophie; Miranda throws more head shots as she steps forwards more quickly, Sophie moving around her, trying to stay out the firing line.
When Miranda comes close with a right cross that just misses, AN UPPERCUT CATCHES HER ON HER CHIN TO SEND HER DOWN TO A KNEE!
A loud roar erupts as Turner raises her fist in the air while jogging back to a neutral corner, 1...2...3.. Miranda shakes her head, looking more annoyed then hurt, 4...5...6.. Looking at the crowd with angry eyes, 7...8.. Miranda disappoints them by getting up to beat the count.
They are waved back together; Sophie steps in with a left hook that just misses as Miranda steps back, the Aussie needing to use her defensive knowledge to keep out the way of the more aggressive Brit.
Who is being yelled at by her coach to slow down, she starts to as the round enters the final minute, placing her punches better as she keeps on the front foot.
A left hook across her face seems a warning just before the bell, Sophie not seeming to care as she returns to an jubilant corner.
Especially compared to the Downunder one, where Miranda is being read the riot act by her coach to halt the momentum of her opponent soon before she is out cold.
Round 7: At the bell Sophie continues to be the aggressor now as she comes hunting Miranda, throwing stiff single punches towards the face of her opponent, who blocks most of them though.
Stepping in with a left cross; Sophie misses as Miranda ducks down, a left shoves back the Game of Thrones star, A RIGHT HOOK LANDS ON HER CHIN TO SEND HER TUMBLING TO HER BACKSIDE!
Boos ring out as Miranda stares at Sophie, then heads off to the neutral corner, 1...2...3... Shaking her head, Sophie has felt the full power of that dynamite right, 4...5...6.. She has to turn to all fours to begin pushing herself up, 7...8.. A little shake to her step, the main thing is she is standing up.
They are told to fight with momentum swinging to the Aussie, Miranda now stalks Sophie around the ring, changing her tactics up now to keep Sophie guessing.
A right smacks Sophie across her bloody lips to make her cry out, the ACB champ steps in to land away as she bullies Turner onto the ropes.
Forcing Sophie to clinch up; the referee needed to break them apart as they shove with their bodies against each other.
The round ends with Miranda telling herself "f*** her up" as she sits staring at Sophie across the ring, with Sophie getting water poured over her head to try to fully wake her up, she looks disappointed to have got caught out.
Round 8: That knockdown seems to have taken a little spring from Sophie's step; she is having to deal with a marauding Miranda, who is coming right up the middle to force exchanges.
Sophie needing to show some steel to match Miranda in these close range brawls, she doesn't seem to have the power though to match Kerr as she gets knocked back.
Blood drips from the Brits lips to her bust, she is much more defensive as the round continues, Miranda starting to have her herded near the ropes now as she takes the center of the ring.
Ducking a right hook; Sophie does get in two stiff rights under the ribs, she takes a left to the side of her head though, an uppercut soon straightens her back up.
When the round ends Miranda gets told off Nikki "she is broken! All these people see it too!" Though Miranda's expression doesn't change as she continues to stare at Turner like a shark eyeing up its next meal.
The Foxfire corner on the other hand need to work on Sophie's lips, Rachel tells her "don't waste this chance babe, you can hurt her but you need to use this" prodding her head as Sophie tells her she will.
Round 9: Again Miranda stalks Sophie around the ring, claiming the center as she looks to keep the Brit stuck on the ropes.
When Miranda throws a straight though; Sophie slips it before countering with an overhand left to the eye of the veteran, making her cry out.
Sophie follows up with another left on that eye, Miranda covers up as blood can be seen running from a gash above that fight eye of Miranda.
Putting her head down as she works the body; Sophie is now the one driving her opponent back from the center of the ring.
Both women are blooded as they exchange stiff shots, sweat flying off them as heads get turned, but it looks like Sophie is growing in confidence as she is ducking more rights from Kerr.
Countering with punches on that cut; Sophie has Miranda under wraps now as she swings up top, before using her left unceremoniously to shove Miranda onto the ropes, where she swings hooks into the body of her opponent.
Forcing Miranda to clinch her now, the referee breaks the two up as Miranda definitely looks a little worried, blood running into her eye as the bell soon rings to end the round.
The Downunder corner has to work furiously on that cut, the ringside doctor is watching closely as Nikki and her crew are worried that the fight is slipping away from them.
While the Foxfire crew is working just as hard to keep Sophie fresh, her face looks swollen too as her lip is cleaned up once again.
Round 10: Stepping out their corners to the center of the ring, without prompting they touch gloves to show respect then move back as the bell rings.
It is risky but Sophie is moving more to the right side of Miranda, sensing weakness there now as she fires punches towards the cut, making Miranda have to decide whether to strike or defend.
She goes on the attack as she swings in a right hook, SOPHIE DUCKS IT THEN LANDS AN UPPERCUT THAT WOBBLES MIRANDA, A LEFT HOOK SENDS MIRANDA TO HER SIDE!
Staring at Miranda; Sophie has to nudged away as she looks stunned to see Miranda looking a mess, 1...2...3....4.. Miranda pulls herself slowly to the ropes, 5..6...7.. After pawing to find where they are, Miranda begins to drag herself up, 8...9...1 Miranda just beats the count by milliseconds, the referee checks her and maybe due to this being the last round, let's her continue.
Miranda tries to ward off Sophie with her jab, it gets knocked aside easily though as Miranda is still hurting clearly, A STRAIGHT KNOCKS MIRANDA INTO A CORNER, WHERE SOPHIE LANDS TWO RIGHTS ACROSS HER UNGUARDED FACE, MAKING THE REFEREE STEP IN TO END THIS!
Winner Sophie Turner TKO Round 10
After: The biggest win in Sophie's career in most peoples eyes comes tonight, she yells "come on!" As she heads back across to her corner, fists clenched as she still looks in the mood to hit something.
Meanwhile Miranda has to be helped back to her stool; Nikki looks to be wondering whether she should have threw the towel in when Miranda went down and barely beat the count, especially seeing her fighter looking hurt.
Sophie begins smiling when Rachel tells her "that was awesome babe, you showed your skills, toughness and ruthlessness tonight, nobody can doubt you are a star in this ring"
While Miranda has been cleaned up; she tells Nikki not to worry too much even as her right eye is going to be one hell of a shiner to go with the cut.
When the fighters go to the center of the ring for the result, Sophie makes sure to go over to Miranda to hug her, thanking her for taking the fight before they discuss it, sharing a laugh about how sore they will be over the next week.
Sophie gets her hand raised after they finish chatting, Miranda nodding as she knows tonight might be the beginning of a new stars time in the elite.
Though Miranda tells Sophie "I expect a rematch someday babe" with Sophie smiling as she fist bumps the Aussie in a sign she is up for that, though her management maybe don't want her going through another war with Kerr anytime soon.
Leaving the ring with Nikki; Miranda does get a standing ovation for her effort tonight, while she wasn't the fan favourite, she does have the respect of the fans where ever she goes.
Inside the ring Sophie is even clapping Miranda, before she blows kisses to the crowd, while slowly doing a lap of honour, smiling as her name is chanted again.
Leaving the ring with Rachel, it will be interesting to see how Sophie builds on this result, could she have the eye of the BBU lightweight champion again?
