Kimberley Walsh vs Amanda Clapham

BEFORE: Kimberley Walsh remains a fan favorite across UK despite a very mediocre boxing record but she's destined to have her work cut out tonight as Amanda Clapham vows to demolish her to avenge the slugging defeat at the hands of another Lioness Club singer Dorota Rabczewska last time out. Amanda wants to make some contender waves and targets the Girls Aloud bantamweight corps going forward which explains why Nicola Roberts acts as Kimberley's ring supervisor in the Lioness corner. However it's still Mel B. calling the shots for Kimba while Gail Kim headlines the Kear's Kats coaching entourage as usual.

Kimberley Walsh wears a red basque top, brown hotpants & red gloves. Long dark brown hair with blonde dye tied in a high ponytail. Amanda Clapham wears a light blue sports bra, matching hotpants & silver gloves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Amanda wants to make an early impression and rips through Kimberley's high guard to establish mid-range control before she bangs a heavy double on the jugs which leaves the older singer wincing upon impact. Kimberley swings over the top in response but struggles to connect with her efforts and eats  more punishment up the middle as the blonde begins to simply beat her up. She snaps the brunette's head back and glues her to the spot in the center of the ring which makes Walsh look really vulnerable going forward. The blonde actress rattles in more good punches even though she lacks the haymaker prowess but she's capable enough of pounding Walsh onto the ropes where the Girls Aloud veteran can only clinch her rival in order to survive the mounting issues. No wonder Nicola Roberts looks very upset at the bell as she tries to urge her bandmate into more decisive action.

Round 2:
Kimberley tries to land some head shots before Amanda tags her with the overhand swing but she bounces off the top of the blonde's forehead and wobbles into a nasty uppercut on the jaw which sinks her on jelly knees way too quickly here. Clapham wastes no time in adding more uppercut menace as she dissects the otherwise leaky guard and drops the singer onto her heels in a hurry while Walsh tries to clinch her again. Ugh! She gets belted on the liver area instead and gets beaten for a right-on-right cross before Amanda nails the brunette on the nose and makes her stumble back onto the ropes. Kimberley doesn't have the legs to escape the looming rush even at this early stage of the fight and gets trapped in the corner for good with Clapham raining punches all over her and making her gurgle in visible dismay when the bell finally halts the action.

Round 3:
Gail Kim believes Amanda should really stop "foolin' around" but one has to remember the Hollyoaks actress doesn't have a lot of BBU experience under her belt which actually allows Kimberley to look more competitive early in the third. Both women exchange single-hand assault before Kimba works some jabbing magic downstairs and halts the blonde's progress when she belts her in the navel before a rare uppercut finds the jaw. Amanda barks in anger but finds Walsh pouncing on her midriff thereafter and the Girls Aloud veteran finds a higher gear to back her foe onto the ropes where she holds her own and beats Clapham in a classic phone booth dispute. She lands more crisp shots in the blonde's gut before tackling her jugs late and the referee has a hard time to separate the two gals at the bell with Nicola Roberts throwing some verbal darts at the Kats' corner in the process.

Round 4:
Kimberley gets more aggressive as she plucks her mitts into the blonde's body again however Amanda loops her response upstairs and comes away on top of a hectic slugging dispute that ensues in the opening minute. One mighty swing on the temple wobbles the singer back and Amanda cashes in on the follow up when she nails the older foe across the nose. Kimba struggles to swing from the back foot and gets exposed up the middle as Clapham blasts her from both flanks and leaves her with visibly swollen lips come the two-minute mark. Walsh tries to hang around the ropes but lacks the agility and gets pinned onto the turnbuckle with Amanda powering ahead with more nasty head shots before she drills the reeling brunette on the brow ridge right at the bell.

Round 5:
Amanda rolls out with more hooking menace upstairs and Kimberley has to accept the slugging drill as she's unable to escape into mid-distance safety. Both women trade head shots in back & forth manner until it becomes clear the pace gets too hot for the Girls Aloud veteran. Kimba slumps onto her heels after eating a crushing hook on the jaw but tries to swing from the back foot regardless... she slices thin air though and Clapham NAILS her with a brutal cross on the nose that even hurts Nicola Roberts in the Lioness corner... DOWN GOES WALSH crashing flat on her back with a loud thump!!! "Hell yeah, that's THE punch, baby!", Amanda struts back to coach Gail Kim while Kimba remains motionless down on the canvas and the ref realizes she's NOT gonna make it here! He waves off the count prematurely and it's KO5 Amanda Clapham!!!

AFTER: Amanda evens the score with the Lioness Club opponents but she doesn't have much time to celebrate tonight's victory as Nicola Roberts is quick to jump into the ring where she scolds the beaming blonde and has to be pulled back by Mel B. before things turn ugly. "Save your anger for next time when U will knock this cocky bytch OUT!!!", Mel's advice isn't received well in the Kats corner but Amanda still has a long way to go if she's gonna earn her elite spurs so she refuses to jump in and land some early punches on Nicola as both entourages revert into some verbal heat instead. 

While all this is going on, poor Kimberley has regained her awareness and crawls back to her corner where she finally receives some help and is escorted back to the locker room leaving Amanda to hear the official verdict alone in the ring few moments later.
