BEFORE:
Emma takes the stage first at tonight's press conference, her confidence perhaps shaken after two disastrous title shots that ended her up with nothing but a spoiled ego and painful memories at the hands of her adversaries. She takes her seat at the press table, looking slightly aggravated as usual, brushing her silky blonde hair to the side before addressing reporters with a snarl:

“Girls like Debby should be grateful someone like me gives them the time of day at all. I'm not entirely sure what was going through her mind when she decided to challenge me as she haven’t won a single fight out of her last EIGHT while I'm one of the best flyweights in the entire league.” Emma turns her gaze towards Debby sitting at the other side of the conference table, shaking her head. “The only reason I accepted this time waster is that it would make for a nice warm up for my upcoming Doll Ball fight against someone who - allegedly, can actually fight - Ariel Winter. Still, Debby has a huge size advantage over me so…maybe she could actually put some of it to use. Not holding my breath though."

That size advantage might be one of the factors that resulted in Roberts’ loss against Collins this past month, and that’s something Debby’s also banking on to exploit as she sits confidently with her arms crossed, flashing a confident smile at Emma’s venomous words. It’s true that the GBS starlet hasn’t seen much success in the FCBA since 2017, and joining her new stable in April of this year hasn’t helped things along much thus far. But Debby seems unimpressed with her opponent for tonight, completely adamant about her chances at pulling a big upset in the coming hour.

“Emma is washed up - she’s yesterday’s news! Look at her two recent attempts to win the belt from Portman and Lily. Could anything be more pathetic than failing twice in a row?” Debby chuckles, sending Emma a cocky look before she continues. “I took this fight because I think I stand a good chance of repeating what Collins did to her: I have all the physical advantages in this fight, whereas all Emma has is that large mouth of hers. I can definitely beat her. For those who don’t believe me right now…just wait and watch me. Especially you, little Emma.”

Ladies make no effort to diffuse the tension later on, meeting face-to-face at the podium and continuing to spit insults whilst posing for the cameras. That three inch height advantage means Emma’s overreaching slightly, using her body to chest up and into Debby, daring the younger woman to make the first move. Debby laughs the threat off, however, turns quickly before flashing a rude gesture at the Doll’s direction, which almost earns her a rush forward to throw down early.

Later, Roberts makes her way down the ramp of the arena first, blonde hair streaking out back as the Doll purses her lips, doesn’t bother waving to the audience. She’s all too focused on making a concrete statement tonight, eager to stop her two-fight losing streak and teach Debby a lesson whilst she’s at it. She mounts the ring-steps with a bounce, dressed in her usual pink sports bra and long white tights.

Debby comes out between the curtains a looking pumped and ready to rumble, leaping onto the stage with two hands raised high in the air and a wide smile on her face. Her dirty blonde hair is tied up into a neat ponytail, the rest of her body dressed in a sexy black bralette top and dark blue tights showing off her athletic figure. Later, in the ring, she brandishes a pair of black gloves for this contest, while Emma wears white and pink gloves.

Referee’s all set to get things started, rushes through the preamble and then quickly sends both girls back to their corners. Emma and Debby get into their respective fighting stances and there goes the bell! HERE we go with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Emma is very aggressive at the bell, trying to end this fight as decisively and quickly as possible, and prove that Debby is no match for a top competitor like herself. First barrage of shots is sent packing into Debby’s guard and the action doesn’t let up from there, though Emma’s early stomps forward backfire when Debby returns with her own blitz attack outta nowhere, SOCKS the Doll right in the face with a hail of jabs and crosses! UGH!! Roberts battered backwards, wincing as the taller girl’s reach means more shots are streaking in without delay, and far from the timid little starlet Debby portrays herself to be, she’s as hungry for a win here tonight as she sends Roberts packing! Good lord, it looks like Emma still hasn’t found the essence of her groove, wilting at the first sign of pressure in the very first round! Dollhouse corner fears the worst, bellowing orders from the turnbuckle as Emma has to switch tactics fast in order to cover and duck, counter and run! Ryan absolutely dominates this opening salvo to the bell, and she knows it, a wide smile on her face as she leaves Emma panting growling by the ropes!

ROUND 2:
Not the best comeback performance from Roberts thus far, and we think the Doll’s in for a full overhaul of her approach if she wants to turn things around, and fast. Debby unloads ion her again in the first minute, chasing her back with jabs sent to her arms. But Roberts ain’t so foolhardy either, keeping pace backwards with her guard locked firm as she takes the abuse but doesn’t suffer for it like last time. Tide turns in the second as Roberts punts her opponent’s head back with a sudden cross sent to the nose, then another right hand stuns Debby on her chin before the younger girl knows what hit her. Roberts smirking behind closed doors, continues this methodical counter-assault as the round turns into Ryan’s display of recklessness. Bell rings and Debby’s not looking so hot as before, rubbing her face as she heads back her corner, dejected.

ROUND 3:
Slower round as both girls go back to basics, with Emma circling instead of charging, sees early results when she scores a couple of fast hands to Ryan’s face. Debby taking her time as well, a little winded from the first two encounters but now alternating between covering up and punching back, only barely scoring on the fast-moving girl. Ryan gets off a lucky shot late in the round, however, catching Emma on the chin with a right hook slammed in outta nowhere. Emma grunts from the shock but she’s not in danger of going down yet, gets thrown off to the side briefly and forced to defend even more judiciously towards the bell.

ROUND 4:
Emma bobbed and weaved around one more of Debby’s brazen attacks, then STUNS the younger blonde on the mouth with an overhand cross, sending more jabs chasing after her face as she takes control of the fourth! Debby grunts as her head is thrown back, mouth and nostrils crunched as tears fill her eyes involuntarily from the pain. Roberts not helping things by going into overdrive: more lefts and rights fired in between Debby’s arms, smacking into her chin and body, and driving the bigger girl back towards the ropes. Ryan however holds steady till the bell, gets herself out of danger multiple times by initiating the clinch with the smaller Roberts, controlling her with arms wrapped around the neck and shoulders. Emma growling at the bell, denied that knockdown this round, but she at least can take satisfaction with a payback shutout performance.

ROUND 5:
Debby snarls back with revenge, however, knocking an early hook into the side of Emma’s head when the Doll had initially charged in to finish her off, but failed. The two girls engage in a wild free-for-all in the center of the ring, fists bashed stiff into each other’s arms as they take turns turning their heads to the side, then roaring back in for more. Emma, of course the shorter of the two girls, eats another straight hand to her chin, and she lets out a loud gurgle as she stumbles, trying to maintain her balance. Roberts barely fends off more punches as Debby stays at a distance to fire off her punches, using her reach advantage to great effect. For now, Roberts scatters and runs, blocking and weaving well to avoid getting tagged on the face again, but it means she’s also given up hope of winning this round for herself.

ROUND 6:
This is certainly a back-and-forth spectacle we’re witnessing tonight, as both these ladies want to score a win on their belts, and that determination shows on each of their faces as they kick off the second half of this fight with another banger. Young fighters still filled with vigor as they scoot forward, eager to throw down, let fly fast combos once the other girl’s face gets in range. Emma scores first, a left-right hitting hard into the arms, then grazing the chin, but the Doll has to cover up immediately as Debby goes for the big artillery right away, a hook banged into her own guard, then swinging another to the head, designed to take Roberts out. Emma stays focused, however, ducks under the second one by a close margin, DINGS the GBS starlet with a snap uppercut to chin for good measure as she batters the challenger back. Ladies continue in this wild melee to the bell, neither one really taking the advantage overall in the fight.

ROUND 7:
Emma’s slowly taking control of this cruise, dominating the first minute with plenty of shots hammered into Debby’s face and forehead. It’s like the first round all over, folks, but with Debby now a more subdued shell of her former self, groaning and shouting each time a cross-hand combo’s slammed into her arms or bunches up the cheek. She’s getting beaten back by the aggressive Roberts, who takes one step forward, shoots in a left-right to the body, then another step pressing in, another hook batters the side of her head. Finally, Debby wilts in the face of pressure, a hook catching her flush on the chin - she lets out a shout of pain before she’s sent sprawling down to her side, as Emma scores the first KNOCKDOWN of the evening!

Roberts fans let out an instant roar as the favorite FINALLY manages to send her tenacious opponent down to the canvas after 7 long rounds, but was it enough to keep the bigger blonde down? Emma instantly turns back to the neutral corner, however, not about to celebrate just yet as she focuses on catching her breath with her back to the turnbuckle, blowing whiffs of strawberry blonde hair off her face. True to form, Ryan is slowly on her way back up, the other half of the stadium providing moral support as the younger girl makes it up by the count of 9 and Roberts is looking FURIOUS! How dare she stand up?

Referee waves his hand to resume and things aren’t looking good for Debs, however, who has to survive another minute or so with the annoyed Ice Queen if she wants to stay alive for the long run. Emma immediately pushes herself forward, resuming her methodical yet very aggressive attack on her foe as she continues shocking Debs to the arms, more fists crunching into her body, with Ryan letting out dull groans, all she can do is cover up on the ropes and hope for the best. Emma not giving her any room to breathe, however, stacking in close and burying another uppercut into her body, yet another right swing slams hard into her chin, which stacks her head upwards! STILL Ryan doesn’t go down, mouth hanging wide open as she catches the top rope with both hands, staying afloat for dear life! Emma’s already huffing and puffing, going to town on her open face with squared hooks swiped across the cheek, and THAT’S IT - REF’S FINALLY SEEN ENOUGH - he jumps in to pull Roberts off!! This fight’s OVER via TKO!

Official Decision: Emma Roberts defeats Debby Ryan via TKO7!

AFTER:
What was supposed to be a homecoming victory for Roberts is anything but celebratory, however, as the Doll is still smoldering in her corner with leftover rage and adrenaline from all those prior slights to her pride. She immediately marches back up to the groggy Ryan, who has fallen to the mat on her butt after that battering she took right before the bell. Debby doesn’t seem to know what’s happening when a looming shadow takes her by the hair, shoving her hard back down to canvas with a thump!

Emma circling her for a moment, rolling the groaning blonde to her back using her foot, before planting one foot down into her vanquished opponent’s squirming chest, eliciting another shout of pain from Debby’s lips.

"Don't EVER challenge me again!” Emma hisses, staring down at the defeated GBS starlet, before coldly posing for the cameras to capture this seminal moment.

Far from having any personal beef with Ryan, however, Emma quickly relinquishes her hold, allowing Ryan to roll away into safety as the GBS medics rush in to check on her. Emma quickly exits the ring this time, barely making any acknowledgement to reporters or her fans on her way up the ramp and backstage, her face etched with a typical "this was a waste of my time" expression as she disappears behind the curtains with her Dollhouse entourage in tow. Roberts is back on the winning track for now, but will certainly have her hands full when she takes on the dangerous 26-7 Front Street star Ariel Winter at the Doll Ball season finale next month – and we can’t wait to see how that plays out!
