Minka Kelly vs Leven Rambin

BEFORE: It's been a while since Leven Rambin last graced the FCBA boards but the former Front Street member is determined to show everyone she's still got some juice left in the tank. She only turned 30 this year and that's years removed from being dismissed as divisional punchbag. Meanwhile Minka Kelly thinks she can take a valuable scalp and vows not to take anything for granted tonight: "Leven got the short end of the stick in Philly but she's dangerous. Maybe that's why nobody wants to test her out save for Emily Ratajkowski? Losing to a free agent looks bad on anyone's CV but I'm willing to blow her away!" (laughs).

Minka Kelly wears a leopard print bikini top, black hotpants & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a high ponytail. Leven Rambin wears a white bikini set & blue gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Minka works to the body early and she shakes the blonde's rust off through shear work load while Leven just tries to land a clean punch during the initial stanza. She struggles to match the brunette's intensity though and gets locked in the phone booth where Minka overwhelms her from the start. Leven swings over the top but skims off Kelly's forehead and eats a nasty uppercut on the jaw that wobbles her to the side and allows the Lioness southpaw to rattle her with a piercing follow up. Leven bails out behind a tight earmuff but gets pounded onto the ropes regardless and struggles to tame the onslaught which leaves her clinching the older actress once she fails to come up with a better idea.

Round 2:
Leven tries to slug herself into any sort of contention but keeps misfiring over the top during the first minute and is fortunate enough Minka doesn't press hard with her response. Leven showed little performance in the opening round which perhaps makes Kelly feel very safe as she keeps packing the right/left combos that might not carry a lot of weight but it's enough to leave the rusty blonde hanging in mid-distance. Rambin settles down throwing swings from afar to take a little steam out of this contest in the second minute and bites on the counter-punching efforts thereafter as Minka remains half-hearted in her attacks. She gets blasted on the lips when the blonde rallies late but avoids more trouble by slicing Leven's liver area with a nasty harpoon just before the bell.

Round 3:
Leven feels like she can truly stomp Minka in the slugging drill but eats an uppercut blast from the inside and loses her balance following an accidental clash of heads. Minka rips into her guts thereafter and spins her to the side before she clocks her on the right ear with an overhand switch. Rambin sags on her heels and is too slow to react when the brunette NAILS her with a brutal hook on the temple. Another left hook drills the nose and wobbles the blonde into an uppercut bomb that DROPS HER FOR THE COUNT!!! Leven lands on all fours and cries out in pain... she bends her head against the canvas and suddenly looks hurt down there... not your standard knockdown by any means as Leven is unable to beat the count.. it's quite a shocker but exposes the blonde as second-rate fighter at this stage of her career. KO3 Minka Kelly!!!

AFTER: For once Minka decided against the laid-back approach to take advantage of Leven's long inactive period and it worked! However the blonde's punching resistance looked bleak to say the very least. Minka isn't your top level power puncher at age 40 but she still breezed through the former Front Street contender with room to spare. It speaks more about Rambin's current struggles than Kelly's intended Hall of Fame push to be honest.
