Reon Kadena vs Chantelle Connelly

BEFORE: Reon Kadena is probably the forgotten elite member of the Front Street Japan stable but with Vera Brezhneva and Dorota Rabczewska making plenty of noise back in Europe, the former bantamweight title challenger is ready to enter the big picture again at the expense of Geordie Shore's Chantelle Connelly tonight.

Connelly has elite plans on her own and she dismissed the idea of simply backing up Marnie Simpson's eliminator quest on hostile territory. She remains undefeated in BBU but Kadena is a vast upgrade on all the previous opponents so the pre-fight arrogance displayed in the social media might yet backfire straight into the Geordie stunner's face according to Kate Abdo in the BBU TV booth.

Kadena has rejected a JMD challenge from Connolly so we're going standard rules here. Reon wears a black bikini set and red gloves. Long black hair straight. Chantelle Connelly wears a red bikini set with white trim and white gloves. Long dyed dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
These Geordie Shore girls thrive on offense and Chantelle bursts out of her corner to immediately connect with Reon's high guard; the local starlet is clearly surprised by this gung-ho approach and gets NAILED with a vicious double on the nose that wobbles her onto the heels and allows the tourist to clobber her straight-up thereafter! Connelly pours her mitts to smack Reon's head back & forth and drives her into the ropes where she goes low - too low even - as she digs one on the groin and leaves Kadena scowling. But the ref is slow to react and Chantelle connects with an uppercut series that bellows Kadena against the ropes... she manages to crash one on the nose as well and only then she gets wrestled back by the ref to receive her warning! The Tokyo Dome crowd holds nothing back in jeering the Geordie brunette but she doesn't care about it and resumes the pounding to keep the former title challenger pinned in the corner for remainder of the round. Reon's guard withstands this test but it's as bad of an opener for the hosts as possible and coach Kei Mizutani is furious in her corner!

Round 2:
The hosts need to find an answer to this Geordie bullying but they simply can't as Chantelle blitzes Reon's high guard again and forces her into a steady defensive cover during a one-sided opening tangle. Connelly doesn't have the legs to match the Japanese gravure icon but she keeps swinging high to keep Kadena on the run. Maybe the plan is to lure the tourist into that arrogant mistake but Kate Abdo questions that approach since it's way too early to count on Connelly running out of steam; she still tags the Asian with her up-tempo swinging and tracks her down into the corner where Reon has to accept more slugging from the inside that punish her rack! It's all Chantelle here and Reon looks to be rusty as heck on her comeback; she gets drilled to the body late and stumbles into the referee's embrace at the bell while coach Mizutani exchanges hand gestures with owner Hamada up in the VIP lounge.

Round 3:
Reon's almost forced into a gruesome slugging display by the way this fight has unfolded and she must have hoped for an easier comeback but Chantelle remains pumped for more action and the two hellcats trade vicious leather during the opening minute. No more defensive circles from the Asian vixen but she just can't shake the Geordie lass off despite whacking her repeatedly upstairs. Connelly clips her jugs in a swift response and tackles her to the body which reels the gravure idol onto the ropes where she gets caught flush on the jaw again! Ugh! Chantelly keeps it straight-up not to earn herself more trouble with the rules and the all-out blitz SINKS Kadena on jelly knees come the two minute mark! The championship resistance is still there but she still gets clobbered into a standstill with Connelly running on speed dial to connect with more vicious hooks. She tears a bloody patch under the left eye and leaves Kadena choking on spasms once the bell halts the action! This is not what the partisan Tokyo audience expected and Reon just shakes her head when talking to coach Mizutani during the interval.

Round 4:
Kadena bangs some promising hooks early in the fourth but Connelly still comes charging at her and SLAMS a left hook on the jaw that drops the Japanese brunette onto her heels. She tries to swing one from the back foot but that's a bad decision since the punch skims off Connelly's shoulder and the Geordie response SENDS THE GUMSHIELD flying out into the stands!!! DOWN GOES KADENA!!! Chantelle cranked it up from the hip and just wrecked all the Front Street Japan hopes here! Reon is counting stars and allthough she tries to get up, the gravity takes over and glues her backside to the canvas!! She's a no-frickin'-go, folks!!! Wicked KO4 Chantelle Connelly!!!

AFTER: That's probably Chantelle's biggest win to date and she dwells on the hostile crowd reaction twerking her thong around the area while Reon remains hollow in the eyes and attended by the medical crew. Kate Abdo thinks the gravure idol was lucky not to suffer a broken jaw here but how about that statement from the Tyne & Wear native? Vicky Pattison and Charlotte Crosby could become very jealous of that demo job Chantelle just delivered to immediately enter the contenders' picture again! It's not like the bantamweight isn't overcrwded already but Chantelle pulls no punches when talking to Kate Abdo afterwards: "Look, we don't need these Dodas and Veras making noise in the BBU! What about some proper Geordie Power instead? Hi, Cheryl!! (waves to the camera). I know it's been a while but c'mon! I'm still as good as Una Healy who was like the last true champ in the division! Helen frickin' saggy tits Flanagan? Gimme a break! I'm right here and nobody should ignore me anymore! I'm waiting for that big opportunity so I don't have to travel around the world just to earn some RESPECT I fully deserve? You don't like it? Come and face me in the damn ring!!!"
