Rochelle Humes vs Yasmin Verheijen

BEFORE: Former BBU lightweight champion Rochelle Humes absolutely demolished Jessica Michibata on her comeback earlier this month and wants to repeat that performance against Dutch pageant winner & model Yasmin Verheijen who eyes a swift revenge over her friend's treatment. Yasmin enters the PPV event full of confidence and claims Rochelle simply got lucky beating Jessica inside the opening round but most pundits believe Humes in on her way to mount another title run with Alessandra Ambrosio a little complacent due to her record-setting reign atop the 130 lbs division.

Can Yasmin really play a spoiler in Rochelle's comeback mission? Let's find out!

Rochelle Humes wears a light blue sports bra, black hotpants & yellow gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. Yasmin Verheijen wears a white & black one-piece swimsuit & orange gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a custom ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Rochelle rolls out with immediate jabbing as she clearly wants to deliver the Michibata repeat but Yasmin engages in a furious slugfest that would make half of the flyweight roster proud! She tees off upstairs and digs those orange mitts into the singer's face which suddenly drops Humes back as she fails to respond in a similar manner! Huh! Yasmin uses her superior range to wreck havoc and gives the Brit a small cut under the left eye but she wants MORE and thumps both temples to fold the former champion behind a desperate earmuff on the ropes. All Verheijen here as she tackles the exposed ribs as well and digs more leather while Rochelle groans out in pain and just can't shake the Dutch girl off! Yasmin rips through her guts and yells in delight when Humes keeps shrieking her heart out before a wicked right hook finds the eye and spins the singer onto the turnbuckle right at the bell. Whoa! Talk about upsetting the odds here as Yasmin pitches a shutout in the opening round!

Round 2:
Rochelle's visibly annoyed over that poor start but she eats a faceful of leather early in the second again as Yasmin simply keeps digging her mitts top to bottom to unsettle the former champion. Humes shows improved footwork to buy some time in mid-distance but Verheijen just hassles her around the ring which looks bad enough from the stands as some Dutch fans raise the unexpected volume! Yasmin keeps coming forward and settles for the single-strike attack to draw par in the mid-distance dispute while Humes appears to be holding back and just happy to avoid more cuts. Lioness coach Mel B. urges the pageant winner into more attacks come the final minute but Yasmin issues verbal taunting instead with Rochelle in no mood to respond and slicing thin air from behind the guard.

Round 3:
Yasmin continues on her aggressive ways and sticks early leather into Rochelle's abs but the former champ cracks a left/right combo on the chin to finally wobble the younger brunette off her comfort zone. Another scything cross finds the chin and makes the Dutchwoman gurgle in sudden pain; she drops back to avoid a looping hook but Rochelle still jumps into a trigger-happy assault up the middle and connects with the jugs to stuff the younger brunette on her heels in the center of the ring. She blasts through the ailing guard and knocks Verheijen's head around before she thumps her onto the ropes where she engages the body assault to cripple her foe behind a tight earmuff. It doesn't work much for Yasmin though as she raises the yelping volume and fails to slug herself out of danger with Humes dropping more bombs into her midsection before the bell halts that run.

Round 4:
Yasmin tries to recover from that poor round but Rochelle's footwork remains superior and results in the pageant winner slicing thin air instead of the singer's flesh; the fruitless hassle is then countered with a brutal hook on the jaw as Humes rides the overhand train to stick some leather into Verheijen's face. Ugh! The Dutch girl wobbles to her heels but refuses to back off and nails the Brit on the brow ridge -  a classic slugfest follows with more brutal shots tearing some fine flesh before Yasmin bails out of the phone booth when her lips develop a nasty swelling. Ugh! She stumbles onto her heels and hopes for a quick breather but Rochelle has other ideas and SMOKES her with another vicious hook on the nose before she adds a belting cross on the liver Yasmin just couldn't cover off in time... DOWN GOES THE DUTCHWOMAN!!! Ugh! Yasmin collapses on her knees and bends her head against the canvas while the singer struts back to her corner. The count is slow but Yasmin still has trouble getting up on her feet... she manages to do it at eight and a change but appears to be hurting and just doesn't have the mobility to avoid a quick-fire attack that dissects her high guard and drops her onto the ropes! Rochelle barges into her boobs just for the sake of it but finds another uppercut double to send Verheijen into outright spasms before she belts her on the aching tummy one more time! Ugh! Yasmin slumps on jelly knees and before Rochelle can sock her lights out IN COMES THE TOWEL as Mel B. reacts to the looming disaster! Rochelle's arm is pulled back by the ref and that's a wrap, folks! TKO4 Rochelle Humes!!!

AFTER: Rochelle is still unhappy she was denied the KO juice but hopefully she did enough for Alessandra Ambrosio to take notice according to BBU TV's  Georgie Thompson. Meanwhile Mel B. has to console the Dutch brunette who tries to argue her case over the corner stoppage: "I had her! I really did... she was...", "Stop it, hun! You were ***this*** close from getting your pretty face all busted up! The ref wouldn't stop it so I had to! You and Jessica are riding on my nerves! This friendship stuff is killing your career! You can't hang out with losers all the time! She is DONE in this league! And if you don't buy a brain to manage your schedule better then you will be DONE soon enough! Can't believe Mr. V lets this thing fly! Joy Corrigan ain't coming over to win the BBU lightweight title and hell, Christine Lampard is too old to mount a run anymore. You are the future, got it? Let Ambrosio and Roch batter each other and we'll step in once the dust settles. But first we have to SAVE your damn reputation! Gawd, I didn't sign for this!"
