Intro:
We open tonight's PPV up with two beautiful models testing each other out, Joan Smalls looks to take the undefeated streak of Sasha Luss from the Russian, can Sasha prove she belongs in the title contention right now?

Last year saw Joan have by far her worse year in a BBU ring, first she lost to eventual champion Doutzen Kroes, she did defeat Gemma Atkinson, then lost her last two fights against Kate Upton and Damaris Lewis, making some question whether the once dominant force of the BBU welterweight division is gone.

Joan is asked for a few words by BBU TV reporter Anna Woolhouse before the fight in her locker room, Joan is sitting on a bench in her street clothes as she looks calm, telling Anna "2020 sucked all round to be frank, all great champions face adversity sometime in their career, now is the time for me to pull up my boots and find a way back into title contention" her coach Taryn Terrell smiling as she sits next to Joan.

The coach butts in to tell Anna "Joan is going to start her road back to the top, Sasha is a great prospect, tonight though she learns what a champion really looks like, Joan is going to kick her ass" making Joan grin as she looks at Taryn.

Turning back to Anna with a shrug of her shoulders, saying "I can't really add anything more then that" chuckling as maybe she is taking the fight in front of her a little lightly or maybe just still in a relaxed mode before she gets into her fighting one.

In Sasha's locker room she is stretching in front of a mirror wearing a white robe, smiling as she nods to Anna to come in, while 2020 was quiet for Sasha, only fighting the once with a victory over Lorena Rae, it is safe to say tonight is her biggest fight.

But she looks calm as she tells Anna "this is my moment to break out the pack, I've been wanting a fight like this for a while, all of the learning I have done in the ring is for this night" beginning to shadow box with her tapped up fists clenched.

When asked how she will defeat Joan, Sasha replies "my style is based on my speed and slickness, Joan will be trying to knock my head off, when she finds me not where she wants, the more frustrated she gets, the more likely I am to knock her ass out, simple as that" grinning as she goes over to her coach to get her gloves on, Anna thanks her for her time before moving on.

Fighting time, first here comes Joan along with Taryn and cut woman Eva Carneiro, the Girls Friday crew looks calm still as they walk to the ring, no great hurry as Joan nods to her adorning fans cheering her on.

She steps through the ropes into the ring wearing a black sports bra, matching trunks with her surname in gold letters on the waistband, black shoes with gold trim, gold gloves, while her hair is braided for battle.

Next out the curtain is Sasha with her coach following, she is moving more quickly in her strides as she looks keen to get this fight started, arms out to her side as she bounces on her toes at the ring steps, jogging up them to get into the ring.

The white robe comes off to reveal a white sports bra, white trunks with black trim, matching boots, black gloves, her hair is also braided as she stares across the ring at Joan, bouncing on her toes from her corner.

The fighters come together at the ring center, bodying up to each other as the referee watches closely that it doesn't kick off, going through the final instructions as the fighters sternly stare into their opponent's eyes.

They are ordered to touch gloves, hammering their gloves into their opponent's set, jogging back to their corners as both look keen to get started, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Kicking off feeling each others skills out, Sasha is throwing a nice double jab out the gate to the body and mouth of Joan, looking the quicker on her feet as Joan is moving after her, trying to shut down her mobility early on.

Swinging a big right hook that just misses, Joan maybe is trying to finish things quickly, Sasha shows her dodging skills to duck under then hammer two punches into the tight abs of her more experienced opponent, moving out to range when a left cross catches her to the top of her head.

It takes half the round for Smalls to really get in her first good shot of the round, catching Sasha coming in closer with a left cross, then rifling her right straight into the face of Luss to snap her head backwards, pressing the blonde towards the outside of the ring now as Joan forces the action.

A missed right cross though causes Joan to be open to an uppercut that knocks her back a step, two overhand punches land across her cheeks as less then thirty seconds to go, Joan is finding herself being knocked back to the ropes across the ring.

Sasha works the body with four straight punches into the abs, the bell rings to stop the round with a great opening round for the up and comer, Sasha gets a nod from her coach as she sits on her stool looking more relaxed then her opponent right now.

Round 2:
Nodding to Taryn before she pushes out her corner, Joan is landing her own double jab as both are exchanging stiff jabs to beautiful faces, Sasha happy to box off the back foot, punishing any mistakes from Joan as she leans out the way of cross punches.

Starting to get a grip on Sasha's movements, Joan lands a jab before feinting that she is going for a right cross, when the blonde leans back Joan switches to landing her square into the abs of Luss to make her groan out.

Getting pressed closer to the ropes, Sasha is working hard not to get pinned to them, the crowd cheering louder as fists are flying from both fighters, cheeks taking a beating as cracks of leather ring out around the fighters.

A left hook catches Sasha on her jaw, followed quickly by a straight on her chin, Sasha covering up as she goes into the ropes, Joan showing her merciless side when she uses her left forearm to press Sasha harder to the ropes, her right digging under the ribs of the Russian till Sasha can shove her away.

Slamming a double jab late into Joan's face as the former champion is a bit too quick on the trigger with a right cross, Sasha lands a hard one-two combo into the left cheek of the Puerto Rican fighter to knock her head to the side.

At the bell both women pass each other by without an incident, Joan nodding to Taryn as she gets told not to give Sasha any free shots, Eva working on reducing a little swelling under the left eye, Sasha not looking too worried as she sits across the ring getting cleaned up.

Round 3:
Not wanting to be as easily pinned down, Sasha is moving more side to side as she keeps drilling more pinpoint punches through gaps in the guard of her opponent, especially enjoying it seems targeting the chest of Smalls to make her hiss out.

Joan does land a nice one-two combo but takes an uppercut to her body as she tries to move in tighter, Sasha showing Joan she can be rough as she uses her left shoulder to bump back Joan, both banging in some body punches before Sasha moves into space.

Starting to move more to Joan's left away from the power punching right, Sasha is also getting a mouse to form under the left eye of Joan, smacking in several one-two punch combos, keeping it simply with her attacks to make Joan a little more defensive.

Getting more confident as the round goes on, Sasha looks to stand more to throw looping hooks in, Joan steps back after eating the first across the side of her head, catching Sasha the second time she tries it with a counter left hook of her own to the jaw of the beautiful blonde to turn her head.

Here comes Smalls in the final twenty seconds, driving back her opponent to the ropes with punches right into her body as their heads grind, Sasha trying to open up herself to work Joan's body, she can't seem to take the heat coming her way as she clinches just before the bell rings, referee needing to separate them as a few words are exchanged.

Going back to their corners, it's another strong round for Sasha, though her coach wasn't happy with her changing tactics so soon, feeling she was trying to end this too early, Joan meanwhile again is getting her left side of her face worked on predominantly, Eva doing well to reduce some of the swelling.

Round 4:
Throwing more punches as they work around the ring, Joan showing some of her own head movement to dodge several of the straight punches coming her way, slamming in counter punches across the face of her opponent.

A right hook catches Joan across her face though, allowing Sasha to drive her back a few steps with a beautiful four punch combo square into her face that sends sweat flying, Sasha looking to have an aura of confidence around her as she herds Joan around the ring.

With around half the round gone she misses with an overhand right, Joan slipping under it to come up with a left hook under the ribs, then an uppercut to the body that looks to have driven some of the air from Luss's body judging by her expression.

A left cross turns Sasha's face as momentum swings around again, pressing back Sasha into a corner, Joan is ripping in body shots that looks to be making Sasha's cheeks go red, she pulls Joan into a clinch to stop the assault, the Russians coach looking worried for their fighter.

Pulled apart to resume fighting, Sasha is back to trying to box on the move, she looks to have lost a little of her spring though, allowing Joan to get in close to force the action though, both landing hard punches that has the crowd roaring them on.

At the end of the round Sasha pounds her chest with her right glove as if to say she is OK, Joan smirking as Sasha may have given her a big tell on how she really is, Sasha taking in more deep breaths when she sits on her stool, gloves on top of her head to open her diaphragm up to get more air into her body.

Round 5:
Keeping in more closer to Sasha, Joan is burying in a stiff jab between the gloves of the blonde to her face, pressing her back as Sasha is getting beaten to the punch more often now while moving around the outside of the ring.

A double jab lands on the nose of Luss, whose guard moves up to protect her face, JOAN THEN THROWS A RIGHT STRAIGHT INTO THE SOLAR PLEXUS OF SASHA, WHO FALLS TO ALL FOURS GASPING OUT!

What a pinpoint punch as Sasha is kicking her feet on the canvas! 1...2...3.. Rolling to her left side with her right cradling her stomach, 4...5...6.. Sasha is breathing hard as she looks badly winded, 7...8.. Covering her eyes with her left glove as she rolls to her back, 9...10 that's it for Sasha!

Winner Joan Smalls KO Round 5

After:
Possibly one of Joan's best finishes purely by how accurate she was there, Joan turns to the assembled crowd to celebrate by kissing her fists with a beaming smile for them, as they cheer and applaud her for a sweet knockout.

The groaning Sasha can only look to the heavens wondering what happened, her coach kneels next to her to check on her, helping her to slowly stand up as other then being winded, Luss doesn't look too badly hurt.

That's what seems to annoy Sasha the most as she heads back to her corner, resting her head on the too turnbuckle a moment as she curses herself for being beaten by a body shot, her coach consoling her by pointing out great fighters have been stopped over the decades in a similar manner.

Across the ring the winner high fives Taryn and Eva, both smiling warmly as Taryn tells Joan "that's the old Joan I want to see more, you know you are better then all these welterweights, you have to believe that yourself" Joan nods in reply with a big smile of her own.

Once they are both wiped down and gloves taken off, the fighters come to the center of the ring for the final announcement, Sasha gives Joan a fist bump to show respect, with Joan getting her left hand raised by the referee to make the result official.

Stepping out of the ring, Sasha has now tasted defeat for the first time, it's gut check time for her as either she will learn from this or it could be the start of her downfall, Sasha looks to the heavens as she walks up the aisle, wondering what to do next.

In the ring Joan poses with her arms flexed for the camera's, she might make the centerfold of the BBU magazine next month with the shiner under her left eye, laughing afterwards as she jokes to Taryn about not modeling for the next week over it.

The Girls Friday crew leave the ring together, with Alessandra Ambrosio coming up later, they will hope this is the start of a bumper night for them as they go forwards in 2021 in the BBU.
