Petra Nemcova vs Elsa Benitez (BBU Debut)
(Results: Vassago, Words: Caspian)
Petra Nemcova: (41, 5'10, 13:3, BBU, SIRENs)
Elsa Benitez: (43, 5'10, BBU Debut, Free Agent)
BEFORE: Both women have crossed paths before in days long past, both Petra and Elsa counting themselves as Sports Illustrated Bikini alumni back in the day during those sanctioned brawls of 2001 and 2002 (perhaps we’ll see a fight report someday). Now, as they meet again on the press podium, it’s clear that both supermodels know each other well, standing toe-to-toe, face-to-face with their hands on their hips, noses slightly upturned at the sight of each other.
“Yeah, I know Elsa. She was an SI staple back when we were modeling. Didn’t think much about her then, don’t think much of her now. She’s making her official debut in the boxing ring tonight, but trust me, I’ve seen her fight before back when we weren’t counting records on the internet. I’m taking this fight seriously,” Petra says with a nod.
Elsa looks confident for a newbie as she takes the microphone next. “Petra was a legend back in the day. SI cover girl and all that. Saw her get into a few scraps myself but unfortunately, we’d never tangled with each other. Till now. She claims she knocked out Daniela Pestova back in the day, but let me assure you - that was me! Regardless, I’m betting on myself going into this fight. Just because I don’t have an official record doesn’t mean I can’t throw a punch!”
Ladies are all set in the boxing ring hours later: Petra stretching and bouncing in a sunshine yellow bikini, her body toned and brimming with power for her age. Benitez going for Mexican state colours, dark olive green with patterns of white on her bikini set, complete with red gloves. Referee signals for the bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Welterweight action!
ROUND 1: Solid combos to start as the pair of cougars crash into each other as though they’ve got something to prove. Pretty sloppy action from Benitez early as she treats this like a foxy boxing contest, wild swings at Petra’s head or body but the Head Siren taking the shots in her stride, using her arms to block and then counter attack with crisp shots to the face. Nemcova definitely has more training here and it shows, easily parrying Elsa’s attacks and then coming back with short and snappy hooks across the face or sent into her side, punishing the Mexican without her realising it. End of the round sees Benitez fly into a frustrated rage, literally ramming into Petra and sending both girls hurtling into the ropes. Snarling, short snaps to the chin ensue but the blonde takes control once more and chugs leather into the body to end the round.
ROUND 2: Petra takes the field early, stunning Elsa with a one-shot to the mouth as the Mexican showed early signs of aggression again. Benitez gets dominated as she lets out a grunt, makeshift defence thrown up to try and intercept more of Nemcova’s flurries and combos. Petra headhunting, picking spaces off as she squeezes in fast jabs, pushing Elsa backwards and hoping for an early KO victory. But Benitez’s temper not to be underestimated - the Mexican roars back with a killer hook outta nowhere, BANGS hard into the arms and rattles the big Czech girl momentarily. Suddenly it’s all Benitez’s show! Petra grunts as another and another swing catches her on the arms, Elsa flying into a rage now and just WAILING on the blonde up top, reaching down as well and taking swipes at the tummy. Elsa steals the show by the bell, and this fight is just getting started!
ROUND 3: More heavy fire as Elsa finds her groove, keeps taking swings at Petra’s head in order to keep her guessing or away. Petra in trouble for the first time as she can’t use her own attacks to stop her opponents: each time a wild exchange erupts in the middle of the ring, with punches flying both ways into faces or chugged into bodies, Elsa uses her power to punctuate the action, sending a lasting hook into the face that has Petra reeling backwards. Second minute and Nemcova gets dominated instead on the ropes, too slow to get away now as Benitez punishes her with shots to the body, across the arms, final DING to the chin AND PETRA’S WOBBLY!! Elsa GROWLING as she DROPS the big blonde onto her side with a heavy left hook to the head!! OUCH!! Petra gets shocked out of her element, along with the rest of the arena as the rookie scores an early KNOCKDOWN! Benitez grinning wide, hands raised as she waltzes back to neutral corner, looking plenty satisfied with herself. Petra however getting back up bit by bit, shaking her head in disbelief but having her fellow stablemates cheering her on by the apron definitely helps. She survives the final seconds of the round, however just barely - Elsa roaring inwards once more, trying to trap her foe on the ropes again and dominate, but the Siren holds on till the referee pulls her off.
ROUND 4: Elsa comes in hot but not as fast as last time. The rookie’s never had consistent fight training and it shows: moving a lot more sluggishly as she runs out of breath by the fourth round. She’s taking more wild swings at Petra’s head but not finding it easy to land her shots: Petra weaving her upper torso and head like a veteran fighter, avoiding the hooks after absorbing jabs with her arms. Elsa grunts as another hook misses entirely, gets an uppercut sent straight into her tummy, another chuggin’ shot to the ribs for her efforts, Petra taking strategic shots her as she pummels the Mexican’s stomach to drive her back, wind her even further. Elsa left holding onto her side in the final seconds of the round, clearly hurt and bothered but not knowing how else to turn the tide. For now, the Siren makes a comeback!
ROUND 5: Slow, methodical slugging war continues in the minute one as both ladies tiredly stumble forwards and then let their fists fly - Elsa putting her last ounces of strength into each swing but clearly struggling as she gasps and heaves with each breath. Petra a little more conditioned, takes a ringin’ shot to the side of the head but braced for it well, return hook sent across Elsa’s chin to DAZE the big brunette, as Elsa grunts and almost gets sent down to her knees! The Mexican’s stumbled, however, as Petra wades in to mop up her handiwork, digging more shots into her open tummy before BLASTING the brunette across the face with a textbook right hook, and DOWN ELSA GOES!! A return KNOCKDOWN from Petra Nemcova as she raises a hand high in victory! Elsa blasted on her back, now staring up at the stadium lights, her chest rising and falling, but she’s still very much alive, WILLS herself back off the canvas and slowly making her way to her feet! Nemcova in partial disbelief at the willpower of this rookie. Elsa recovers by the count of 9 and nods to the referee to continue. HERE COMES THE SIREN, showing no quarter as she lets a right cross rip straight down the middle. Elsa groans as the impact caught her on the mouth, and to her credit, the Mexican is STILL fighting back best she can, trying to shove her fists into Petra’s face in order to survive this final minute. But Petra’s hungry now as she pins the big girl on the ropes, whap whap hup hup shots to the body and breasts, occasional SLAM of a hook into the head to DROP HER ONE MORE TIME - Elsa doesn’t make a sound this time as she collapses by the ropes, arms and legs spreadeagled and KO-ed for good!! It’s OVER!!
Official Decision: Petra Nemcova defeats Elsa Benitez via KO5!
AFTER: A wild fight indeed and Petra once again proves she has the balance between power and poise to win a fight. She nods to the audience and their cheers, a big smile on her face.
“I got her. I got her good,” she later tells reporters. “If she, Pestova, or any other girl wants to go again, I’m right here.”
Reporters later garnering responses from other SI Swimsuit alumni, who clearly have their own opinions as well:
Isabeli Fontana: “Hmph. What a weakling. Benitez tried to play a fighter in there and paid the price. What say she and I lace up and go next?”
Daniela Pestova: “Bunch of amateurs in the ring tonight. Nemcova won but she didn’t look too good either. Maybe it’s time for a rematch.”
