Una Healy vs Kate Lawler

BEFORE: It's been a long while since former two-time BBU bantamweight champion Una Healy won a fight but she's determined to prove she can still throw a mean punch or two after Kate Lawler simply roasted her on twitter in the past few days. The blonde TV personality is never the quiet person in the room and believes Una is simply finished as a genuine BBU fighter: "That't right, everyone! This Irish slob has had all the stuffing punched out of her over the years. She's done. Toast. Gone. Kaputt! You name it! And I'm just gonna hit the final nail in her soon-to-be-over career tonight! Bring it on, bytch!"

Una has dismissed some of the loudest talkers in BBU before but her losing streak must be playing on her mind as she prefers to ignore the verbal taunting. She has former bandmate Rochelle Humes in her corner tonight and let's see if the Irish redhead can find some elite magic one more time or is Kate Lawler simply stating the ugly truth?

Una Healy wears a black bikini set with pink trim & pink gloves. Long carrot red hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Kate Lawler wears a yellow bikini set with black trim & black gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Kate seeks to dismantle Una's high-guard from the onset and plugs her mitts into the redhead's face to pile more immediate misery on the struggling former champ. Una swings back over the top but has a hard time matching the blonde's pace and has to yield real estate in a hurry when Lawler nails her on eac temple and threatens to blow her up inside the opening minute. Uh-oh! Una spins out of the phone booth jam only to lose balance and Kate rips her up the middle before dropping a haymaker uppercut on the chin TO SEND THE IRISH LASS DOWN!!! Lord have mercy!!! Una lands on her backside and even Rochelle Humes is stunned in the opposite corner as she urges her bandmate to get up! Una takes her time but still blinks frantically as she finally recovers at eight! Oh, boy! She looks rocked and Kate knows it... here come the blonde rush! Kate comes in hot to destroy the aching redhead but misfires with the initial drive and has to chase the reeling Healy around thereafter. Una shows some wheels to escape the looming disaster but she loses the round wide and has Lawler dissing her in explicit fashion after the bell.

Round 2:
Una has to accept Kate's slugging tactics and she finds her range plucking meaningful leather into the blonde's face. Both women trade vicious head-hunting blows but Kate can't hurt the singer anymore and gets crippled by a low body shot just below the navel which allows Healy to stack up more punches downstairs thereafter. Lawler looked in supreme form while running the fight from the front but she leaks too many counter-shots down the stretch here and enables the former champion to even the score through more pesky body harpoons. Ugh! Kate has to clinch the Irish singer come the final period and doesn't sound so vocal anymore once the clock expires.

Rounds 3 & 4:
More head-hunting in the center of the ring dominates the next two rounds where Una battles through her initial struggles to land some nice combos into the blonde's face however Kate refuses to back off and takes her lumps before coming back late to find some body assault success herself. A quick clash of heads stalls her progress in the third but she punches Una in the gut in the fourth and traps her along the ropes where she digs deep to carve some bruises in the fair Irish skin. Ugh! Healy gets dumped onto the turnbuckle and has to clinch the English lass but Kate still uppercuts her rack and steals the round with a belting hook on the liver that sinks the redhead into outright spasms at the bell.

Round 5:
Una comes back to punish Kate over the top as she cuts her on the lips and drives more leather into her mouth as the blonde loses her energy and wobbles onto the heels after another overhand swing. Ugh. Una tags each temple and beats her rival for another cross hooking blast and this time Lawler begins to feel the heat as she slumps on her heels again and tries to clinch the singer outright. Una bumps her off and drives an uppercut double in the chest before looping a nose-busting cross and Kate has to bail out of trouble. She trips back onto the ropes and is just a split second slow to escape a left/right combo that nails her on the jaw and sinks into more spasms. Healy cranks up the volume with more vicious harpoons to the body and Lawler groans in visible pain for remainder of the round before the former champ whacks her across the mouth one more time.

Round 6:
Kate tries to apply the slugging assault again but just doesn't have the speed anymore and gets beaten for another overhand blast as Una camps inside her cheeks from both flanks and rattles her into a swollen nightmare come the one-minute mark. Ugh! Kate's high-guard collapses alltogether and she onlt stops the redhead's attacks with her face before Una lands one uppercut on the chin too many and SENDS THE BLONDE CRASHING DOWN ON HER KNEES!!! Kate drops to all fours and has to dig really deep to find the exit lane... she gets up at eight but chokes on her breaths and gets swamped by another head-hunting drive as Una punches her into stupor back in the Double A corner moments later. "C'mon! F### her up now!!!", Rochelle Humes leads the screaming support and there's nothing Kate can do about Una's merciless pounding. She goes numb upon another clean impact on the temple and DROPS FACE-DOWN in deadmeat fashion just so the Irish stunner can celebrate snapping her terrible losing streak. No count is required! KO6 Una Healy!!!

AFTER: "I still got the blues!!! Bring on the St. Paddy's Day next month!", Una winks back to the camera before heading for the cheerful embrace from bandmate Rochelle. It's been a rough boxing ride for Una the last couple of years but maybe she's not quite done yet after all? Just burn that round one tape since that looked like a farewell of the worst kind. How did Kate let the redhead off the hook? BBU TV's Denise van Outen would have asked her about it if only the blonde presenter wasn't sleeping peacefully on the canvas right now!
