(Marti Maulers vs Free Agent)
(Written by Girls Friday/Results BBU)
Intro: We are live here in the BBU TV studios, tonight Louisa Lytton looks to get her first win on the board against the debuting Phoebe Dynevor, who has suddenly become an overnight star because of the TV show Bridgerton, can Louisa upset the debut of the younger woman?
Her own career so far has been a failure, fourteen fights went by, no wins and furthest she has went in a fight was a decision loss, that was back in her own debut in 2011 to Samia Ghadie, since then she struggles to get past the half way points in fights.
Tonight she seems confident as she sits in her locker room with coach Emma Bunton wrapping up her fists, Louisa smiles as BBU TV reporter Kate Abdo comes in, nudging a seat with her foot for Kate to sit on, which the reporter gratefully accepts.
Kate asks how Louisa is feeling, the EastEnders actress replying "I am feeling great, Emma has been really pushing me these past few months, getting to batter Sally Websters daughter is going to be fun" laughing as Phoebe is the daughter of the actress Sally Dynevor, who plays Coronation Streets Sally Webster.
Emma butts in to say "Louisa is right that she has looked good in training, I hope she isn't taking Phoebe too lightly" with Louisa looking at her with a look of a school kid caught swearing at a teacher, nodding as she goes quiet, Kate decides to leave before she causes more trouble for Lytton.
In the Dynevor locker room, Phoebe is warming up by punching the pads on her coaches hands, the coach gives Kate five minutes at most to talk to their fighter, Phoebe takes a deep breath as she comes over to Kate to talk.
"I can't believe this is happening, this has been a rollercoaster year for me, first Bridgerton has exploded, I have people telling me that they find me sexy" Phoebe giggles as her cheeks go red, still seemingly shy over her newfound fame.
Kate asks Phoebe how she feels about this fight, the Manchester born actress answers "it has been a fun past three months, the BBU asked me if I wanted to try out boxing, as you see I have a great coach, now it's all about if I can take a punch I guess, doing sex scenes pushed me, this is just another thing for me to overcome" the coach grinning at the compliment, Phoebe getting told to get back to working hard, which she does as Kate steps out the room.
Fighting time, no crowd here but there are screens with viewers from home getting to watch, Denise Van Outen is on commentary as she seems excited to see what Phoebe can do.
Louisa is out first with Emma behind her, she gives Denise a wave as she jogs past her, wearing a red bikini with matching gloves, her hair is tied into a ponytail, she is smiling as she looks confident that she can finally break her duck.
Getting into the ring, Louisa fist bumps the referee, then jogs to her corner, bouncing on her toes as she awaits her opponent, looking in great shape as always, with Emma telling her to keep her guard up.
Out through the curtain comes Phoebe next onto the set, she has her coach beside her as she looks a little nervous, wearing a white bikini with matching gloves, her hair is also up in a ponytail.
Climbing into the ring, Phoebe nods to the big screen as if nodding to a live crowd, her coach telling her it is OK to have butterflies, she just can't let them get to her as she fist bumps her coach with a smile.
Coming together at the center of the ring, both women shake their arms to keep them loose, though both maybe getting more nervous as we head to them actually fighting, nodding as the referee finishes their instructions.
Bumping a single fist into their opponent's offered glove, they jog back to their crowd as the pipped in crowd noise gets louder, both nod when asked if they are ready, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.
Round 1: "Ding" a tentative start from both as they step out their corners, not a lot happens in the opening moments as neither seems too keen to engage right away, watching their opponent instead to see what they do, which might be why they are fighting without a crowd.
Maybe due to her experience, Louisa is the one to push the tempo up a notch, stepping inside with a one-two to the body, Phoebe grunts out and swings a left cross that grazes the top of the EastEnders stars head, who steps back to range.
Looking a little more relaxed now, Louisa is starting to step in more with punches aimed at the abs of Dynevor, getting a few more clips to her head as Phoebe maybe starting to realise she can't be too nervous, she has to literally fight.
After a strong opening two minutes, Louisa is letting her guard open up, which allows the blonde to pound a straight into her face, back goes Louisa as suddenly the switch seems to go on for Phoebe, she is throwing in a three punch combo straight into the face of Lytton to knock her back.
There's a bit of a grandstand finish as both start to let their hands go, at the bell it is a good round for Louisa, even as Emma has to remind her to get her gloves up tighter to her face, Phoebe apologises to her coach as they tell her to calm down, she nods as they massage her shoulders to stop her being so tight.
Round 2: Coming back out her corner looking more determined now, Phoebe is throwing in a crisp jab to knock back the head of her opponent, Emma understandably not happy as she sees Louisa fall back into bad habits of trying to punch her way out of trouble, all she is doing is finding thin air.
Growing in confidence as she is seeing Louisa isn't a great fighter, the Manchester lass is drilling in more combos now, snapping back the head of Louisa, who finds herself being driven around the ring by the blonde.
Soon those pinpoint punches cause Louisa's nose to start trickling blood, Phoebe smiles till she let's her guard down and Lytton cracks her to the jaw with an overhand right, refocusing the rookie as she finds herself in a firefight that has her coach shaking their head.
Best moments of the round for Lytton, who is looking the sharper fighter on the inside, whacking in some good hooks to the body, before she is given a shove to her face to get space between them.
After that spurt of success for Louisa, she finds herself being driven back by more punches square into her face, Phoebe maybe lacking that one punch power for being a lanky flyweight, she is scoring points though as the bell rings to most likely officially give her the first round of her career.
Round 3: Stabbing in double jabs now to the face of Louisa, Phoebe now establishing the range she wants the fight, Louisa not moving her upper body as much as she should, her punches not having the sting behind them due to being kept at range.
A straight slams into the nose of Louisa, who finally covers up but only because now she is under fire after crying out loud, Phoebe has found another gear it seems, though she isn't landing as cleanly as she is not switching her punches up well enough.
Louisa able to get away from the ropes as a wild right hook comes her way, the EastEnders actress able to land in two body shots as she finally gets to the inside, it is short lived as she gets pushed back once more to the outside.
More blood is running from the nose of Louisa, who is retreating more as Phoebe stretches her elbows, burying in more punches through the open mitts of the smaller fighter, even swinging in more cross punches to really turn up the heat on Louisa.
At the end of the round Louisa is rubbing her right glove under her nose to see how much she is bleeding, sitting on her stool fighting back tears as Emma doesn't say a word, across the ring Dynevor is looking more focused, if she had a one punch power this fight would probably be over by now, maybe something to work on whatever happens here.
Round 4: Trading jabs as Louisa tries to push the pace herself, knowing that she can't simply stand there and be a punch bag, more punches are slamming around her guard into the side of her head as Phoebe is planting her feet more.
An uppercut catches Louisa flush, it knocks her back a step as suddenly the floodgates open, punch after punch slams smack dab into her face, TILL A RIGHT CROSS PUTS LOUISA ONTO HER BACK!
Blood runs from that busted nose of Louisa, who holds it as the count begins over her, 1...2...3...4... Louisa turns to her front, 5...6...7.. Emma telling her to stay down as Louisa fires back tears, 8... Looking at the canvas with an embarrassed look, 9...10 that's it for Lytton!
Winner Phoebe Dynevor KO Round 4
After: Maybe not the best showcase of what Phoebe might bring to the table, it is a win for the new star as she jumps for joy in shock seemingly she actually won, her coach steps into the ring applauding her with a beaming smile.
Louisa meanwhile puts her head into her gloves, she can be heard sobbing as Emma has to come kneel next to her, consoling her before she can get to work patching her nose up, Emma telling her "back to work tomorrow" with a smile as Louisa gets to her knees nodding looking down right depressed.
Over comes Phoebe once her gloves are off to the Mauler's corner, the fighters sharing a few friendly words before they shake hands, good sportsmanship between these two, as Emma pats Phoebe on the back while praising her for a good showing.
After both women are cleaned up, they come to the center of the ring, Louisa a little red eyed from crying, she nods as Phoebe gets her right hand raised by the referee, knowing tonight was simply not her night again.
Giving Phoebe a thumbs up before she leaves the ring, Louisa gets a hug off Denise to show she is popular amongst the BBU crews, even if her record is dismal, you have to wonder is it worth it for Louisa being a punch bag?
In the ring the spotlight is firmly on Dynevor, who poses for the cameras with her fists raised and a beautiful smile, her coach with their right hand on her shoulder as they raise the index finger on their left hand to tell the world she will be number one, a bold claim as their seems plenty of work to do with her.
Kate Abdo steps into the ring microphone in hand to get a few words from the winner, who wipes some loose hairs back behind her ears from her cheeks, admitting "wow I am not used to winning like this" laughing as Kate smiles at the charming personality of the young woman.
Who goes on to say "first I want to thank Louisa, she was a game first opponent and a class act, I'll promise to send her a bottle of whatever she wants, well within reason" winning to Kate as both giggle.
Wiping her brow again, Phoebe then adds "jokes aside it was nerve wrecking in here, to be faced with someone who actually wants to hurt you, it is such a nervous feeling, I honestly felt a little sick during round one, thankfully my wonderful coach told me the right things and once I got the flow of the fight, I want more fights" looking really excited for more fights.
When asked how far she things she can go, Phoebe admits "I still have a lot to learn, I haven't had any of the amateur fights some of the others have had here, only fight I don't even know I should say was when I was in Waterloo Road when I was a teenager and that was girly hair pulling, this is full blooded fighting, so I hope my fans understand I may not be fighting the likes of Michelle Keegan and Cheryl Cole by the end of this year but I want to be a champion for my fans as well as my coach" hugging her coach to show they have formed a close bond already.
Hugging Kate as well before she leaves the ring, Phoebe gets a high five from Denise as she seems already to have captured hearts around the BBU TV set, whether that will translate to her becoming a star in the ring is another matter, she needs to learn to sit down on her punches more, at only twenty five she has plenty of time to learn.
