Hayley Orrantia vs Alicia Vikander

Before: Two sub-.500 fighters may not attract much attention, but it’s everything for them. Hayley suffering through a pair of bad years, but Alicia’s track record over that same timeframe isn’t much better, still enough to make her the favorite coming in.

Alicia is wearing a tight black sports bra, zebra fighting tights for bottoms, red gloves, hair back in a battle pony. Hayley sticking to her purple bandeau, loose hair. White gloves

R1: Alicia using her legs, trying to slide to angles outside, then touch Hayley up. Orrantia defensively sound - right hand at left cheek/left tucked into right armpit as she bobs under Vikander's darting pokes. Alicia's straight punches chipping across pate or mouth - landing stiffly; Hayley's looping overhand rights/lunging hooks spooking her Swede, frequently slugging her out of her stance. All even until late: Vikander misses a lead right hand, spilling herself over Orrantia's back as brunette ducks low, Hayley rising with a right to the trunks (ruled an accident), then a plugging right to tummy has Alicia bunching up! Orrantia knows a good thing when she sees it...with Vikander stooping forward, Texan wraps left arm around Alicia's shoulders, walking her back while plowing her tummy free-swinging right hands! Vikander bundled into ropes, gurgling in pain as Orrantia slams the points out of her gut at bell. Ref forced to pull Haley away...she piles on late as Alicia's sitting helpless butt-in-ropes.

R2: Alicia responds - taking midring aggressively, teaching Haley about the left jab. Vikander sprucing Orrantia up with poke - left hands chop-jabbing jug; sticking at mouth, as Swedish beauty pivots clockwise. Hayley reined in to some degree - she's bobbing out on the end of Alicia’s jab, mitts curled into cheeks, lunging in with the odd haymaker-of-opportunity. Vikander forced to scamper at points, but she's well-organized here, managing the pressure for the most part, turning Orrantia midring and touching her up classy.

R3: Inconclusive round as Alicia does a bit of running, a bit of boxing, then a bit of brawling on the inside as Hayley crowds close. Vikander able to keep things midring, but unable to keep Orrantia outside all the time... leads to numerous crowd-pleasing scrubbing sessions in the phonebooth. Good stuff: Hayley thumping away on body inside, working Alicia's sleek gut; Vikander picking Orrantia’s up right/left uppercuts inside, turning a tight hook across her jugs to force a stalemate.

R4: Clip-clap left/right Alicia leaning in, getting a bit more on the right hand, Haley answers back a right hand over top as blonde ducks down, Orrantia nearly corkscrewing into canvas as legs give a shimmy. Vikander sees the hurt, but doesn't commit: she pivots left, cuffing hooks alongside Haley's paunch; chopping in behind the right elbow. Orrantia brawls forward: Vikander sidesteps-right, lashing a buggywhip right hand to exposed back as Haley rushes past. Alicia in control - going to Orrantia's breasts with nagging little one-twos, always leaning back or ducking down, then pivoting off her scoring blows. Haley weathers it, but she's scuffing up: Alicia parcelling out persistent punishment as she takes control.

R5: Alicia puts it all together: wide, slow hooks set up spitting rights straight to face: Hayley punched out of her crouch, staggers back into ropes. Vikander attacking at ropes with sidearm buggy-whip right hands to hip and flank - pushing left to disengage - then jumping back in with right hands over the top, Orrantia sputtering, crossing arms as she leans back/bends forward at ropes. Fight spills along ropes Alicia in and out, limber limbs slashing at Hayley's tasty curves. Second minute particularly savage: Orrantia on the receiving end of multiple buggywhip rights to body and head... she's staring, badly loosened, often sitting into ropes to keep herself up. Vikander her dips left shoulder, employs gouging left uppercuts against Orrantia's sternum: Texan groaning, doubling forward and FALLING TO ALL FOURS! Hayley climbing the strands, pushing off with her back to the center as Alicia comes out of the corner. Cue kidney bombardment: Vikander hardhearted as she looms over stricken brunette, slashing away side to side to skid gloves off tight lower back. Sturdy legs holding her up, but she's a helpless vixen under Alicia's coldblooded onslaught. Bell: Haley in tears - placing the heels of both hands in her back as she straightens up, Vikander handing her one of the worst rounds

R6: Alicia circling counterclockwise: calm, confident - just stitching jabs to Haley's shopworn face and cringing tummy. Blonde in and out all supple and rangy, twitching her shoulders to feint and keep Orrantia defensive. All Vikander and her legs taking what she wants until HALEY LANDS A BASHING RIGHT! Sudden, looping wallop caroms off Alicia's forehead as she's sliding away with hands low-delayed action hits her knees-she staggers away, then nearly goes down before falling into ropes. Orrantia steps-to; feints like she's going tummy; crouches and brings another right hand over the top, catching Vikander with arms crossed against her body. CRASHING blast off Alicia's face... huge head-swivel... eyes rolling up into her head as her torso lists to her right. She spills sideways, piling into canvas and rolling to her back in stunned submission. KO6 in spectacular fashion, Hayley Orrantia!

After: Merciless action sees Alicia imposing will for most of the fight, only to see it all erased by Hayley’s clobbering might. Orrantia blubbing tears of joy - hoisted high on the shoulders of her crew and paraded round like it’s her that’s won the title as the O&E girls rack up their first win of the night!
