Before: “I am so looking forward to this fight,” Priyanka Chopra tells the press. “losing to Elizabeth Olsen was a setback. Now I get to take out Natalie Alyn Lind, one of Foxfire Boxing’s over-hyped ‘Future Stars’ and give that arrogant youngster a sound thrashing.”
Natalie Alyn Lind not amused by “Big Choppy’s” comments: “I am NOT ‘over-hyped’ and NOT arrogant. I just believe in myself and that’s something tired, old jobbers like Priyanka can’t stand.”
“May I remind you that you have lost two fights in a row,” Priyanka pointed out with irritation. “You have been defeated and smothered out by Demi Rose and whoever Caylee Cowan is. Oh don’t worry, I don’t do smothers, but you will get another ugly ‘Lost’ in your record.”
“You are SO going to regret talking to me like this,” fumed Natalie.
“I doubt that,” Priyanka replied coolly.
Natalie was getting red in the face and looked like she was about to attack the older woman. However at that moment, Foxfire Communications Director Elisabeth Harnois and her assistant young Bailee Madison appered.
“I think that is enough for one press session,” Beth announced briskly.
(“For crying out loud, Nat, the woman is trying to bait you into looking like a bully,” Bailee can be heard trying to whisper to the seething Natalie.”)
“She is the bully!” Natalie complained.
“Good thing your minders are at hand. I may not be noted for my catfighting, but I can certainly handle the likes of you!” Priyanka sneered.
Natalie tried to lunge forward. It took Beth and Bailee’s joint efforts to hold her back. Priyanka smiled condescendingly and said:
“Maybe you should leave before you get more than you bargained for young lady.”
Natalie made another lunge and was only just held back. Beth and Bailee then began to drag her from the stage. Priyanka just stood there, plainly enjoying the show and then calling out:
“See you in the ring, Natalie dear.”
Natalie’s reply was unprintable, but then she was pulled out of sight and silence descended. Priyanka was smiling as she nodded to the stirred up crowd of press and public and family departed the ring.
As might have been expected, Natalie Alyn Lind was still agitated when Fight Night rolled around. Beth and Bailee escorted Natalie to the ring along with trainer Virginia Madsen. Natalie was wearing a sexy black one piece swimsuit with a very plunging neckline. She had white boots and gloves with black laces. Priyanka Chopra made her entrance and removed her robe to reveal a more conservative dark blue one piece swimsuit with yellow trim. She wore yellow boots and globes with blue laces. Both fighters had their pulled back in battle braids.
Natalie got into Priyanka’s face and informed her: “You are going to PAY for causing me to lose my temper.”
Priyanka remained cool and dismissive: “You have no one but yourself to blame for that. You are the one who made a fool of herself—not me.”
Natalie looked ready to take a swing at Natalie, but the referee quickly got between them and warned the angry young blonde: “If you want to lose this fight to a DQ, then keep it up, Ms. Lind.”
At that Natalie subsided into a sullen silence and the ring instructions produced. Natalie and Priyanka then exchanged a rather hard glove “tap” and went back to their corners. Natalie looked especially impatient as she stood in her corner. Then DING! DING! The bell rang!
R1: Priyanka and Natalie move out smoothly and circle each other at mid ring. Then Priyanka strikes with a good smacking right upside Nat’s head and then a left clipping her in the chin. Natalie pulls back, but as Priyanka starts after her, she lunges forward and brings a smashing right/left into the HISC boxer’s jaw. Priyanka put back on her heels. Natalie now attacking Priyanka to the body with hooks in the ribcage and stomach. Priyanka firing back with more shots to the head. Natalie hangs in and again rattles Priyanka with solid blows to the chin. Priyanka dropping back, but firing out her jab to duel with Nat to the bell. Hard punching round goes to Natalie Alyn Lind by a close margin.
R2: Priyanka and Natalie again out promptly, but this time Priyanka opens with a flurry of hooks to the midsection that staggers the young blonde. Priyanka then bangs rights and lefts off Natalie’s jaw and adds a uppercut to knock Nat’s head back. Natalie in retreat, does throw up a good defensive barrage of jabs that slows Priyanka’s pursuit. Priyanka now circling and looking for openings. Natalie trying to duck and dodge as she counters with the jab, but she’s still getting struck hard to the head and jaw. Priyanka goes back to the body late with more hooks and she’ soon got Natalie backing up as the round ends. Priyanka Chopra wins round wide.
R3: Natalie goes hard at Priyanka with a burst of rights and lefts to the head early on. Priyanka reeling back now gets clipped hard to the chin and takes a straight right that opens a cut over her right eye. Natalie moving from side to side, just pouring in the punching, Priyanka trying to clear her head, but Natalie doing a good job keeping on the pressure with shots to the head. Priyanka finally just pulling away and using her jab when Natalie pursues. Round ends while Priyanka puffing hard as the sweat rolls down her body. Very good round for Natalie Alyn Lind as she takes it wide/.
R4: Natalie resumes the attack as the new round begins. Natalie again moving from side to side as she fires in the leather and Priyanka is under heavy pressure. However Priyanka slowly begins to pick up on Natalie’s rhythm and starts moving with it. Priyanka pumping out the counters and now Natalie is getting hit back hard. Natalie pushes in, trying to drive her mitts into Priyanka’s body with rapid-fire speed. Priyanka countering to Natty’s body. Priyanka not quite as high a punch rate as they pound away down the stretch and this allows Natalie to opull out a close round as the bell sounds.
R5: Priyanka and Natalie both out at the same time and they quickly return to the close-in body busting. They are very close, foreheads almost touching at times as they move elbows in and out like piston rods. This time, however, Priyanka’s punch rate increases as the minutes tick on and Natalie is getting pushed back. Hooks in the young blonde’s belly very effective, tipping Natty forward and then Priyanka going after her vulnerable upper torso. Natalie still hitting back, keeps the round close, but Priyanka pulls out the win. Natalie the one now puffing and dripping sweat as she returns to her corner.
R6: Out they come for R6, Natalie looking slower and less mobile as they approach. Priyanka now boldly attacks with a clouting right to the jaw and big left hand to the chin. Natalie recoils and her legs are suddenly wobbly. Priyanka keeps throwing in the big head shots and Natalie is sluggish about protecting her head and face. Priyanka turning Natalie’s face into a swollen mess with straight right and left shots. Natalie finally going face in gloves, trying to hold on as now Priyanka smashes away at her flanks and then rips up the middle with hooks to the ribs and belly. Natalie somehow stays up, but she is a sad sight after the bell. Natalie trudges slowly to her corner, Priyanka smiling grimly. She’s won this round in a shutout.
R7: Hard work by the Foxfire corner crew gets Natalie out for the new round. Natalie moving better and seems to be trying to launch a counterattack against Priyanka. The effort does not last more than a few head shots before Priyanka lashes back with crackling rights and lefts to Natalie’s jaw. Natalie stumbling backwards gets driven into the ropes and then Priyanka goes all-out against Natalie’s midsection. Natalie gasps, groans and writhes under this merciless attack. NATALIE’S LEGS GIVE WAY! Natalie sags forward onto her knees and then onto her face as Priyanka jumps aside. Priyanka hastens to the neutral corner. Referee is counting as the battered Natalie struggles to rise. She reaches a crouching position and then tries to stand, only topple backwards against the ropes. She is still trying to rise as the referee counts:
“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!”
Natalie finally upright, but it’s too late,
THE WINNER PRIYANKA CHOPRA DEFEATS NATALIE ALYN LIND KO7!
After: Priyanka goes to the HISC corner to accept the congratulations of her teammates and have her gloves removed. She keeps an eye on the Foxfire corner where she sees a disheartened Natalie has been revived on her stool. Then Priyanka strides across the ring elbow Bailee Madison and Beth Harnois aside to pull Natalie off her stool. Natalie thinks she’s about to be walked.
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” she complains. “if you want to Walk me, that’s fine.”
Priyanka gives her a wicked smile: “I saw your fight with Kaya Scolderario. That woman knew how to handle the likes of you!”
“NOOOOO!!!!” Natalie cries in alarm, but Priyanka is too quick. She fits down on Natalie’s own, stool and bends Natalie across her lap. Holding the squirming Natalie down with her left hand, she rolls up the back of Natalie’s one piece to expose her bare buns, and then STARTS TO SPANK poor Natalie! Bailee, Beth, and Virginia Madsen watch in dismay as Priyanka turns Natalie’s bottom cherry red. Natalie wails, struggles and finally just goes limp as Priyanka finishes the job with a few more good smacks.
“I guess you failed to learn your lesson with Kaya, now it’s my turn to teach you manners,” says Priyanka as she turns the stunned Natalie over to Bailee and Beth. “I would suggest ice for that bottom, but you probably already know that.”
“Just leave,” Virginia Madsen orders.
“With pleasure. See you again some time, Ms. Lind,” says Priyanka, patting Natalie’s swollen, tear-streaked cheek. Then she strode away looking very pleased with herself,
Quite a fight while it lasted. Natalie Alyn Lind showed plenty of fight, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the veteran Priyanka Chopra. Good bounce-back win for Ms. Chopra, who had some bad moments, but came back to knock NAL out. That’s three losses in a row for the young Foxfire boxer. 0-2 is not all how she wanted to start 2021, but the year is young and her fans are hoping for better results as time goes on.
