BEFORE: It's not very often you see multiple fighters line up to face a 10-0 opponent but that was the case with Ana de Armas who eventually saw Cheryl Cole get ahead of Demi Lovato in the match-making queue. Ana enjoys bantamweight experience which makes her the betting favorite tonight but Cheryl is keen to continue with her Latina opponents line of work having enjoyed mixed results against fellow singers in the last few months.

De Armas doesn't share the same industry with the Newcastle-born opponent but she's well on course to feature in a divisional title challenge sooner rather than later and apparently flyweight is where she fancies her chances better. Cheryl's impressive record makes her a very desireable target to launch into imminient stardom and who knows, maybe the looming Lovato fight will be granted an official eliminator status already? Just don't overlook the menacing Geordie singer who is always ready to deliver elite fireworks!

Round 1:
Cheryl bursts into a jabbing drive hoping to upstage the taller brunette but she bounces off a tight high guard and eats a crippling power hook on the nose that wobbles her to her heels on the spot. Ana doesn't need a second opportunity to cash in on the fly and blows instant leather into the singer's face driving her butt-in-ropes in a hurry. Huh! Cheryl never saw such a rough opener coming and she struggles to match the Cuban's intensity which only grows bigger by the second. Ana cranks up the head-hunting volume to bash Cole into a standstill before looping a nasty cross on the brow ridge that opens the first cut! Huh on the double! Chezza bellows out behind a desperate earmuff and soaks up the late jabbing flurry that leaves de Armas firmly on top!

Round 2:
Another slugging effort allows Cheryl to match Ana's initial attacks and both women settle for a draining back & forth series where the Cuban uses her supreme reach to score the better shots. Cole realizes she's getting outworked here and leans into Ana's midsection with more success; the Cuban struggles to stretch her elbows before getting bumped onto the ropes. She stumbles to the side and gets blasted on the rack as Chezza seeks any which way to stick the proverbial foot in the door. She forces de Armas to clinch her late and that's a small victory for ths Geordie singer after a dismal opening period of the fight.

Round 3:
Cheryl beats Ana for the speedy delivery and snaps her head back before driving another gut-checking series to assume unexpected control. De Armas can't muscle herself out of the phone booth jam and gets gradually backed onto the ropes as Cole barks in her efforts to chop her in half. The steady body assault does the trick and leaves Ana fuming in Spanish come the second minute. And the ref lets Chezza barge her ways with more strays elbows on the boobs! Huh! Ana applies a headlock to force an interruption but still eats more body shots come the final minute and only responds by bouncing off the top of Cole's forehead. Not good enough!

Round 4:
Ana cranks up the overhand delivery and catches Cheryl with a big left/right combo before tearing another small gash over the singer's left eye. Cheryl gets wobbled to her heels but still tries to push off 'em alas de Armas easily beats her for another head-hunting drive and swamps her into a proper slugging maze. Cole is always up for these tricks but for once she gets ripped apart and begins to gurgle in clear discomfort as the Cuban brunette dominates her top to bottom and inflicts a nasty swelling around the left eye! Chezza bails out of exchange but runs out of real estate and sinks on jelly knees with Ana forging ahead with more crisp punches straight up the middle. Ugh! She pays back the earlier elbows by blasting Chezza in the groin right at the bell and tells the ref to back off before heading to her corner.

Round 5:
Chezza loses her temper and headlocks Ana into a lenghty clinch in the opening minute as the fight descends into a dirty affair. Some fans on social media expect a thai boxing action soon but Ana escapes the trap to resume the head-hunting pursuit only for Cole to display supreme footwork in response. However the British singer will never beat the Cuban actress in mid-range so her tactics are of stop-gap value and she doesn't lure de Armas into a suicidal attacks either. Ana has full confidence in her judge-pleasing style and prefers to outbox Chezza from afar - which she performs with little genuine effort. Making Cole look sluggish is good enough to win every round on points but she still shouts something in Spanish after the bell. Eva Mendes understands all of that and then some and provides the subtitles for the otherwise enraged Geordie woman.

Round 6:
Ana flies in with another head-hunting blast but bounces off the top of Cole's forehead again and suddenly the singer goes low - but not too low - to dig deep into the Cuban's breadbasket before ripping a brutal harpoon on the liver area. Ana almost catches Chezza with a stray knee in the gut but stumbles to the side first and leaves herself exposed to a submarine punch that nails her on the liver again! Ugh! Ana wobbles forward with a loud whimper and Cheryl is fast enough to drive a vicious uppercut on the jaw... DE ARMAS IS HURT!!!! Oh, boy! Watch out for the follow up! Cheryl lets it fly from the left and blows the Cuban's nose into a blood-seeping mess on the spot! Ana tries to reach out with some kind of response but her legs give way and DOWN SHE GOES!!! Chezza struts back to her corner leaving de Armas kneeled down and wiping blood all over her pretty face! How about this then? The count is loud and clear but Ana just stares down her blood-covered gloves and sits down on her heels instead. She's NOT gonna make it!!! NINE... TEN... YER OUT!!! Stunning KO6 upset Cheryl Cole!!!

AFTER: That's one result very few fans saw coming as Cheryl Cole derails Ana's elite train and effectively does Demi Lovato's dirty laundy in the process. "She can kiss that title eliminator goodbye!", Eva Mendes states the obvious and adds a little Spanish vocabulary extra to leave Ana fuming in response rather than worried about her busted up nose.
