Before: “I am looking forward to beating up Lucy again and adding another win to the HISC score,” says Natalie Portman. The multi-time Flyweight Champion and Hall of Famer is a good spirits. “I knocked her out In 2015 and again in 2017. I can’t wait to do it again.”

Lucy Hale remains cool: “Natalie is at an age where she likes to live in the past. Her FCBA glory days. They were glorious, but time catches up with everyone—even Hall of Famers. I see this as my chance to get a win before she starts living off the sales of her autograph at fan convention.”

“If that is supposed to be funny, Lucy, I’m not amused,” snaps Natalie.

“I’m just looking at the calendar. The sands are moving against you. That is just a fact,” Lucy says.

“They haven’t moved enough to keep you from losing to me a third time,” Natalie warns.

“Reality is catching up with you Natalie and I’m the one who’ll make that point,” Lucy continues.

“Don’t count on it!” Natalie warns, clearly irritated by Lucy’s remarks.\

The pre-fight sniping hangs over the ring as the fighters assemble there on Fight Night. Lucy is in leopard print bikini with black boots and gloves (dark yellow laces). Bobbed hair loose and wetted down. Natalie is in a black bandeau style bikini with white gloves and boots (black laces). Hair is loose and wetted down. Chilly ring instructions, but no outbursts during the ring instructions. Fighters tap their gloves and go to their corners. The bell rings….

R1: Natalie working steadily with the jab punishing Lucy about the head and face. Soon she has Lucy on the defensive and concentrating on protecting her head. Natalie then smoothly shifts into some hearty hooks into Lucy’s ribs and stomach. Natalie moving around, keeping Lucy off balance before her next forward thrust and flurry of body punching. Lucy trying to keep Natalie back with some counters, but they aren’t really keeping Natalie back. Steady thumping from Natty as the round draws to a close and the first round goes to the HISC fighter.

R2: Lucy moving much more quickly to start this round and pops Natalie a solid right to the chin. Natalie put on her heels by the blow and Lucy follows up with right/lefts to the jaw and side of the head. Natalie struggling to deploy her job, getting banged around more to the chin, until finally she has her mitts up high. Lucy now treats Natalie to a banging barrage of hooks to the belly. Natalie not liking this, but she maintains her high guard and settles for some jabs to keep active, though it is not enough to keep Lucy from winning the round wide.

R3: Natalie more aggressive this round, but as she moves in on Lucy, Lucy accepts the challenge the two of them stand toe-to-toe trading body shots. It’s hard, grinding work in close and the seat is rolling down their straining bodies. Natalie trying to set her feet to put more power into her punching, but she gets disrupted as Lucy puts on a burst of punching to knock her back. Then Natalie spots an opening and slips in an uppercut to smack Lucy hard in the chin. Lucy sent spilling backwards and struggling to recover her composure. Natalie eager to follow up but Lucy greets her with protect jabs that stall this attack. The two jab away down to the bell. It’s a close round, but judges give it to Natalie Portman.

R4: Lucy and Natalie clash at mid-ring as soon as they can reach it. Her punches are big head swiveling rights and lefts to head. Both fighters look rocked, but recover and plunge back into the battle. Then it shifts to another close in body punching battle. Now Lucy getting good results with constant punching of Natalie ribs. Natalie trying to hang in but it is clear she’s feeling the pain as Lucy ravages those ribs. Natalie fighting back stubbornly, but it is not enough to keep Lucy Hale from edging her out to win the round.

R5: Natalie now trying some longer range punching. She’s circling around Lucy and clouting away at her to the head. She also batters Lucy every time she tries to fight her way in close. Natalie doing a g ood job busting Lucy up from a distance. Lucy’s got a cut over one eye and swollen lips, but she’s still trying to get at Natty. Natalie’s circling and counter-circling also help by keeping Lucy off balance as she tries to keep up with Natalie’s sudden reversals. Round ends with Lucy all busted up, but still fighting. Natalie Portman looks pleased herself as she wins round wide.

R6: Lucy answers Natalie’s long range tactics by zipping out of her corner at the bell and coming at Natalie fast. She is also moving right-left-right as she comes in which seems to confuse Natalie for a moment. It’s just long enough for Lucy to bring left crashing into Natalie’s chin and a right into her jaw. Natalie is caught flush and wobbles forward in a daze. Lucy pumps more shots into Natalie’s chin AND DOWN GOES NATALIE! Natalie sinks to her knees and then to all fours as Lucy heads for the neutral corner. Referee moves in and starts to . Natalie pulling herself together and making the effort to get back up. She breaks the count at “EIGHT!” Referee checks Natalie out and then waves Lucy back in. Natalie coming forward, looking to challenge, but this quickly proves a mistake. Lucy has not trouble ripping shots into Natalie’s jaw and chin. Natalie lurches back to the ropes. Lucy on her just swinging away at Natalie’s unguarded head (her gloves are down around her waist) in a horrifying fashion that causes the referee to jump in. THE FIGHT IS STOPPED!

After: “I guess it’s true: the third time was the charm for me. I’ve beaten Natalie Portman and got the win for our team. I feel great!” Lucy Hale declares I post-fight.

“The twerp was lucky, that’s all I’ve got to say,” a sour Natalie Portman comments.
