CH NAOMI SCOTT VS TROIAN BELLISARIO

FCBA BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT

Naomi: 27 YO, 5’6 (1.67 m), 16-4-0, 16 KO since 2017, Hawkeye International

Troian: 35 YO, 5’7 (1.70 m), 36-27-0, 32 KO since 2010, Pretty Little Punchers

Before: “I thought that defending my title for the first time against a former champion like Troian Bellisario would be a nice highlight for our war with the PLP,” said Defending Champion Naomi Scott. “I am still a relative newcomer around and I need to prove myself. It’s true I knocked Troian out last August, but I don’t want being able to claim it was a fluke. I want to beat her again to prove I am that much better than her.”

“I am, of course, grateful to Naomi to giving me this opportunity to regain my Bantam Title, but I think she picked me because she beat me last August. I would advise her not to be so sure she can get away with that again. I want that title and I being VERY motivated for this fight.”

Fight Night finds challenger, Troian Bellisario coming to the ring in a light purple one piece swimsuit with dark purple gloves and boots (light purple laces). Then comes the Defending Champion, Naomi Scott in a sunny yellow bikini with black gloves and boots (yellow laces). Both fighters have their hair in battle braids.

The ring instructions are covered promptly. Fighters tap gloves and go to their corners. The rings: DING! DING! The fight commences…

R1: Naomi getting right at Troian’s chin with a series of quick right/left uppercuts and sending the challenger into a retreat. Naomi moving with Troian, adding shots to the jaw and side of the head to keep Troian covered up , not able to do much countering. Then Naomi closes the round with a sustained attack on Troian to the body. Troian getting smacked hard in the ribs, chest and stomach until she is all hunched up at the bell. Bell sounds and Naomi steps back from a dominating round that she wins easily.

R2: Naomi resumes her offensive as the new round begins. Troian has her guard to protectively around her head so Naomi goes to the body. Naomi very thorough as her leather scrubs Troian’s torso from breasts to ribs and then finishing with hooks to the belly. Troian just not able to get much in the way of counters going and has to endure the sustained body hammering from Nomi until the bell sounds. Troian breathing hard and looking shell shocked s she heads for her corner. Naomi looking quite pleased with herself as she wins another round wide.

R3: Troian showing more evasive moves this round and Naomi has trouble resuming her attack from R1 & 2, Then Troian gets the range and hammers Naomi hard to the jaw with a smashing right that sends the champ reeling. Troian stays with Naomi and now firing body shots into Naomi’s torso as she tries to back the Champ into the ropes. Naomi trying to staying off the ropes, but Troian keeping on the pressure and steadily works her to keep the Champ moving towards the strands. However just as Naomi butt hits the ropes, the bell sounds and Troian has to settle for winning the round wide.

R4: Naomi tries to resume the attack in this round, but runs into a buzzsaw of punches from Troian. Naomi hit hard to chin, jaw and straight in the face. Naomi retreating as Troian’s offensive rolls on. Troian attacks to the abs with a series of heavy hooks, but always returns to striking at Naomi to the head. Naomi has her jaw and chi covered, but she is getting rights and lefts bounced off the side of her head and the accumulation of these blows is putting a wobble in her walk. Naomi is able to steer away from the ropes, but remains under heavy pressure to the end of the round. Troian Bellisario wins round wide.

R5: Naomi storming in on Troian shortly after the bell sounds. Troian standing her ground and fighting Naomi hard as she presses in. Head shots exchanged early, but the battle sounds turns into a toe-to-toe battle of attrition with short right and left hands being slammed into straining midsections. Very fierce action as the two struggle to gain control of the battle. Troian finally able to use her belly hooks to send Naomi back on her heels. Naomi resisting, but she ‘s giving ground step by hard fought step until the bell sounds to end it. Both fighters now dripping sweat and breathing hard, but the judges rule it was Troian who pulled out a close win.

R6: Troian and Naomi move swiftly to midring and set to work on battering each other to the body one again. Early round is very even with Troian and Naomi matching each other shot for shot, but then Naomi finds Troian’s solar plexus. Four hooks in a row to the plexus and Troian is falling back with a agonized look on het face. Naomi looks to be trying to drive Troian back into the ropes, but Troian fighting back hard to avoid this. Troian able to keep Naomi from another direct hit on her solar plexus and she is trading belly shots with Naomi down to the bell. Round is again close, but this time it is Naomi Scott pulling out a close win.

R7: Troian apparently has decided to give up on the close-in stuff. She is now keeping a distance from Naomi, forcing the Champ to come to her. Then Troian strikes with solid one-two left/right to the chin that sends shivers down Naomi’s legs and sends her lurching back. Troian gets in an overhand right that catches Naomi between the eyes, but then Naomi gets her mitts up to block ore head shots., It is back to the body as Troian vengefully works over the Champ’s body. She trying to get at Naomi’s solar plexus, but can’t seem to land a solid punch. Naomi is getting her ribcage and abs rakes by Troian’s punches and the best she can manage are a few jabs that don’t really slow up Troian. Round goes wide to Troian Bellisario.

R8: Troian looking confident she has regained control of the fight and moved out with the obvious intention of following up in the new round. However, it is Naomi moving even faster and she battles Troian with long range shots to the head. Naomi able to get a right into Troian’s jaw that staggers the challenger. Troian momentarily frozen and Naomi seizes the opportunity with an all-out punching attack on Troian’s chin and jaw. Rights and lefts are slamming in and Troian looks stupefied as the blows send shock waves through her body. Then a final right to the jaw AND TROIAN KEELS OVER ON HER SIDE. Troian landing on her right side, rolls her back with her right arm across her eyes. Naomi hastens to the neutral corner as the referee moves in to count. Troian trying to rise as the count goes on but when she tries to stand her knees buckle and se falls back to her side.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!..YOU’RE OUT!” intones the official.

THE WINNER: NAOMI SCOTT OF THE HISC DEFEATS TROIAN BELLISARIO OF THE PLP KO8 AND REMAINS FCBA BANTAWEIGHT CHAMPION!

After: “Another great wins for Team Hawkeye,” Naomi Scott says proudly, “am a very satisfying one for me. My beating Troian last year was no fluke. She is tough, but not as tough as I am! I can’t wait for my next defense!”

Troian Bellisario is, of course, not happy at the bout’s outcome. “I admit she is tough and I didn’t find a way to beat her, but she’s not invincible. I hope some day, I’ll get the chance to prove that. In the meantime, I have an evening plans involving a couple of ice packs, so if you’ll excuse me…”
