Results: Lookout!; Story: Caspian & The Dollhouse

BEFORE:
"I'm finally back baby!” Jessica Chastain smiles and gives a short wave to assembled crowds at the pre-fight press conference, looking just fine for someone who’s lost two of her past matches. But if you take into account her opponents - Minka Kelly and Priyanka Chopra - two elite Bantamweights in their own right - one simply can’t fault her for feeling confident about her chances here tonight. “Took a few months to recover from two straight losses...but I'm ready to kick some ass. So I found the best ass in the business…” Chastain laughs, casting a glance towards Kim at the end of the table. “Kim did a number on Katheryn 3 years ago so I know she's a very dangerous opponent, hopefully I can avoid some of her brawling power and take her out with some finesse. Katheryn did it in 2 rounds on their rematch. Maybe it will be THAT easy? Let’s find out, shall we?"

Kim Kardashian, on the other hand, hasn’t had the best of times either, with the recently announced separation from her husband, Kayne West, surely weighing on her shoulders.

“Rumours aside, I’m doing just fine, thank you very much,” Kim says from across the press table. “As dear Jessica has already mentioned, I’m ‘dangerous’ inside and outside the ring. You don’t want to mess with the richest female influencer on the planet, now do ya? People like to write me off before they know what I’m capable of. Winnick found out the hard way three years ago. Now it’s Jessica’s turn to feel my fists all over her. BOY I’ve got some steam to let off, and the Jessica’s face seems like the perfect target. Let’s go b*tch!”

Back in the arena, ladies come out from behind the curtains dressed in their respective colours: Kim Kardashian wearing a black micro-sports bra, long black tights, shadow-boxing down the aisle in dark blue gloves. Chastain’s entrance is explosive, literally, with multiple fireworks set off on stage, followed by a striking pose with two arms in the air as the Doll smiles wide for the cameras. She’s wearing her usual orange sports bra and long ankle-length tights, with matching orange and black gloves, her auburn hair tied in a tight ponytail as she strides down the ramp accompanied by Carmen Electra to the beat of some tasty oldschool rock music.

Inside the ring, we definitely see a contrast in styles as the two women face off: Kim’s bulkier but only about five centimetres shorter, the social media starlet packing more power as she stares down the older Hollywood actress. Chastain will need to move hard and fast if she wants to avoid a complete blow-out.

Ladies touch gloves as they return to respective corners. Referee sounds the bell and HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Jessica comfortable to keep her distance early - she knows what might happen if Kim gets in too close to brawl. Chastain sends out jabs to the head, knows she has to work up high, and fast, to dissuade Kardashian from getting any ideas early on. Kim, however, being methodical and patient as well, as the two fighters move in tandem back and forth across the canvas, bouncing shots off the arms and the occasional ding to the face uttering grunts and further curls inwards. Kardashian, however, proves all the doubters wrong as she makes short but effective rushes forward, firing combos that slam into Jessica’s arms and off her forehead, further frustrating Chastain’s efforts to keep this fight slow and steady. Third minute and Jessica’s still focused on counter-boxing but it doesn’t work against an equally cautious fighter, as Kim is moving in there. End result is a lopsided opening against the Doll, with Kim smiling wide at the bell, her opening salvo showing off her capabilities at their best.

ROUND 2:
Chastain’s still playing it safe, arms locked over the face as she bobs and weaves, making it a little more difficult for Kim to land her shots. Kim’s getting slightly impatient herself, especially after her spectacular opening round, keeps rushing at Chastain and taking swings at her head, only for the Doll to duck under or weave out of the way, before scoring her own cuffing shots across the medialite’s face. Kardashian eschews her winning strategy from the previous round, now finding herself making unforced errors as Chastain shows off her own counter-punching skills. Doll gets bolder as the round progresses, landing a one-two combo to the nose before she bobs out of the way of Kim’s return cross. Kim’s not as fast, for her age, goes lumbering back and forth throughout the round like an elephant in a china shop, her inconsistent nature costing her her lead as Chastain takes it wide by the bell.

ROUND 3:
Wisdom comes with age for Chastain, as the redhead sticks to her strategy and keeps whittling her foe down. Kim starts breathing a little more heavy as she comes forth at a slower speed but clearly is pushing herself forward early in order to score a knockdown and upset tonight. Chastain not having any of it, of course, scooting backwards to avoid another series of lunges at her body and head, before she lights up Kim’s face with more jab combos sent in from a distance. Kardashian not to be denied though, scoring a tummy-tucking blow to the Doll’s side at a moment of weakness, but a subsequent right hook is absorbed by Jessica’s arms with a thump and shout of surprise. Still, that momentary scare has the Doll reeling backwards in shock, arms locked up and firm, and the final minute sees both ladies taking mutual breathers as they circle and paw at each other from afar.

ROUND 4:
Chastain surely had a game plan coming into this fight, and by contrast, her opponent seems all over the place. Or perhaps, it’s just Kardashian’s mounting age and the many, many worries coming back to bite her in the ass. Kim moving sluggishly as she struggles to stay atop of her multiple responsibilities, a half-hearted rush in the opening minute bears little fruit as Jessica easily side-steps the charging girl to avoid, before taking more punches to her cheek that are beginning to add up. Chastain slowly pushes in, taking down her foe’s defenses one minute at a time. Kim groans as multiple jabs land all over body and arms in tandem, Jessica picking her off and squeezing those hands between her open arms and guard, till Kim’s finally had enough! The ageing socialite’s back hits the ropes, her face looking forlorn as another combo crushes into her lips. Another WHAP across the chin has the big girl groaning and twisting down the ropes, finally hitting the ground hard with a loud THUMP as Chastain scores the first KNOCKDOWN of the evening! The referee swoops in like a hawk to start the count, but Chastain is already celebrating, her arms up and pumping back to corner. Kardashian barely makes any moves to recover, pawing at the bottom rope as she turns over onto her back, chest rising and falling with laboured breaths. The ref hits the count of 10 and she’s been laid out COLD! It’s all OVER!!

Official Decision: Jessica Chastain defeats Kim Kardashian via KO4!

AFTER:
A calm, expected celebration from Chastain, who had planned this comeback with cold and hard precision, finally breaking her losing streak! The redhead throws her arms up into the air, smiling cheek to cheek as the reality of her win finally hits her: she’s really BACK and has proven that fact tonight, rushing back to hug Carmen Electra in her corner and then waving proudly to the audience.

The pressure on Kim, on the other hand, continues to mount, with the poor woman’s troubles being added up day by day. She’s on the verge of tears as she sits up by the ropes, when Jessica comes over to comfort her slightly. The Doll offers Kim a hand off her stool, which she graciously accepts, and the two women share a brief hug in the corner, with Chastain whispering “good fight” into her ear that’s caught on the mic.

Later, by ring-side, Jessica’s still smiling as she’s stopped by reporters looking for a comment. “Hey, I was the favorite tonight, and I got the job done. I knew this was a risky fight, as Kim is younger and can be pretty explosive, just ask Katheryn. I guess I’m just glad to not disappoint my fans, my management, and myself. Looking forward to kicking some more ass this year! A LOT more ass!” Jessica giggles before turning her attention to the fans, signing autographs and taking pics with many a fan. Jessica is clearly in a good mood tonight after this win, and it shows! Speaking of Katheryn, the badass blonde is coming up next facing off against the lovely Rashida Jones. Stay tuned!
