3. Natalie Yeo vs Germaine Tan

Natalie:

Germaine:

Pre-fight:
The main event for tonight is a fight between two ladies who won their debut match.

“I believe we can see from Natalie’s social media that she’s a fitness buff and her physical ability is to be reckoned with. But I am confident that I’d make up for the difference in strength with my technique. We all saw how Jamie, one of the best in terms of technique, gave her trouble in their last fight. I believe I can win this.” Germain speaks to the interviewer before the match.

“I have been hitting the boxing gym more frequently after my last fight. Practicing my punches and my movements. I know it’s not long since my last fight, but I’m eager to see my progress in this fight.” Natalie smiles and answers the interviewer.

Germaine enters the ring with black gloves, white bikini top and black bottoms, her hair tied up in a bun. Across from her, Natalie is wearing red gloves with black bandeau bikini. The ref calls for the bell to start off the 10 rounds of action!

Round 1:
The pair circles about the center of the ring, taking measured punches at each other to test the waters. Most punches land on each other's guards with no clear advantage for either fighter. Three minutes passes and the round ends in an effective draw.

Round 2:
The second round starts off slow as both girls go back-and-forth. Just as Natalie commits to a heavy hook, Germaine ducks under and catches Nat in the jaw! Natalie stumbles into the ropes and Germaine mounts the pressure on her, landing body shots left and right as Natalie tries to distance herself. Last moments into the round, Natalie clinches onto her opponent to stop her attacks until the bell clangs. Germaine decisively takes the round.

Round 3:
Natalie collects herself during the break after the poor performance last round. Germaine approaches carefully at the start of the round and lands a few clean shots in Nat’s body, forcing Natalie to keep her distance. In minute 2, Natalie fights back hard, throwing strong swings that knocks Germaine off her balance. Natalie continues to breathe down Germaine’s neck as she goes on the defense and retreat. Germaine manages to hit a few shots to Natalie’s face but Natalie remains unfazed. The round ends with Natalie leading wide.

Round 4:
Both girls sweating buckets and heaving hard as they meet in the center of the ring. Natalie starts off strong, pressuring Germaine into the corner but Germaine manages to swerve out of the corner and lands a surprise hook at Natalie’s lower jaw. Germaine capitalizes on the opportunity and throws a flurry of punches that raises Natalie’s guard. Natalie hits Germaine in the obliques causing her to miss a right cross. Both girls are hurt but the judges rule this round in Natalie’s’s favour.

Round 5:
Another round of high octane action as both girls furiously try to knock each other out. Natalie and Geramine tough through what each other has to offer, sweat flying as punches land. Germaine edges out this round, dazing Natalie at the last minute with an uppercut. Despite that, Natalie stumbles into the ropes, leaning against it to keep herself upright as she defends for the remaining seconds. Natalie drops into a slouch as the round ends. Germaine raises her arm slightly after a successful comeback in spite of an exhausted expression.

Round 6:
Building on her momentum from the previous round, Germaine charges in and begins to cut Natalie down at her trunk. Natalie couldn’t react as fast as she did and ended up taking more shots than she would like. Still, she manages to endure until...OHHHH!!! A strong right hook in minute two sends Natalie proning on her fours. Natalie struggles to get up by the count of 8, nodding at the ref to indicate she can continue. Natalie spends the rest of the round defending Germaine’s offense. Germaine returns to her corner, slightly elated on the knockdown.

Round 7:
Germaine rushes in for the kill but Natalie thwarts her attempt and distances herself. Germaine manages to corner Natalie in the first minute but Natalie brawls her way out of the corner. Germane continues to look for the finishing blow, perhaps a little too haphazardly. Natalie sees an open shot as she ducks left to avoid Germaine’s right straight and lands a hard uppercut into Germaine’s stomach, knocking the air out of her! Germaine puts out a right glove while clutching her stomach, as if she’s looking for a ‘time-out’, but we know there’s no such thing here. Natalie seizes the opportunity and pressures her into the corner, landing clean left and right at her lower jaw before hitting a strong right uppercut to the chin in minute two! Germaine’s body goes limp as her face falls onto Natalie’s sweaty breasts, sliding down onto the canvas as Natalie backs off. The ref counts to 10! It’s over!

Winner by KO7! Natalie Yeo!

Post-fight:
The paramedic quickly attends to Germaine while Natalie parades the ring to celebrate her extended streak.

“She’s a tough one. Germaine almost got me several times, but I never gave up, I kept fighting. And I ended up being the winner today! I will continue to train hard so that I will continue to put up good fights for the fans! Thank you all for your support! Drive home safe!”, Natalie closes out the night on good vibes as the fans cheer.
