BEFORE
Elizabeth is at the podium. As usual Charlize is standing in the background listening. She never wants to say anything. She’s doesn’t want to make a mistake and say something that might offend her opponent. Liz starts talking
“Charlize and I have been fighting in the FCBA for 22 years. We were fighting when some new fighters weren’t even born. We are relics of the past. If it wasn’t for movies, they wouldn’t know who we are. Well, I say let them get in the ring with us and they will get a shock. Tonight, Charlize and I are going for the final fight is the best of seven. This best of seven, you might say is historic. It’s got to be the longest best of seven in history. Our first first fight was on June 2, 1999. Charlize knocked me out in three. Our last bout was on September 3 of last year. I knocked her out in six. We have both won three so this is for all the marbles.
Charlize has had three straight rough outings. It’s got to affect her. Me, I am well rested and well trained. I remind you I have held the welter title three times.
I don’t even want to talk about the number of titles she has held, but I am going to take this best of seven. The previous commissioner used to talk about style.
A fighter not as good as her opponent could win because she has a style that the better fighter couldn’t solve or handle. That’s what you are going to see tonight. Style and the GOAT laying at my feet”. Charlize instead just waving approaches and give Hurly a big hug and whispers something in her year bring a laugh from the brunette. It is noted by the press and some of the crowd that Kate Upton is seated ringside very near Theron’s corner
THE FIGHT
Hurley enters the ring wearing black. Her bikini, gloves and boots are black.
Her hair is in a ponytail. Theron is in her blood red bikini with matching gloves and boots. Her hair is in the same dreadlock style that she wore in the Moynahan fight.
Roung 1. The two leave their corners touch gloves in the center of the ring. Let the fight begin. Hurley beats Theron to the first punch as she lands an overhand right to Charlize’s face. Charlize returns the favor with a left cross to Liz’s head. The close and their is a brief exchange of left and right crosses doing little damage and they back off. Hurley slips a Theron jab and steps into her with pair of hooks to the blondes midsection. A Theron right cross goes astray and Liz rams a right into Charlize tummy. Before the blonde can respond. The brunette catches Theron’s chin with a short fight uppercut sending Charlize staggering back to the ropes. Liz moves in quickly and works on Theron’s body.
She pounding hooks into Theron’s midsection and solar plexus. Hurley is in so close her head is touching Charlize’ shoulder. Charlize try to her her gloves up to Hurley shoulders to push her back and eats a left uppercut to her jaw and then Hurley rips a left into the blonde’s solar plexus, Theron’s hands are drooping as the bell sounds saving the Goddess from further punishment at leat for now.
Round 2. Theron slow off her stool and Liz meets her just a couple feet from her corner. She fakes a right and then catches Theron face with a left cross turn the blonde sideways on the ropes, Hurley wants to finish but before she can pound out the fight winning punch, Charlize turns and lands a sweeping right to the side of Hurley’s head. Hurley is dumbstruck and reels back to the center of the ring. Theron is on her. She lands a right-left cross to the head and as Hurley attempts to raise her guard, Charlize starts ripping crosses into Hurley bra. Hurley is driven back into the ropes. Charlize seems to be taking at will working the body and moving up to the chest. Hurley is leaning back into the ropes taking what Charlize is throwing. Liz manages to throw an uppercut that lands on the Goddess’s jaw sending her back as Theron is desperately trying to keep her balance. Hurley off the ropes as the round ends
Round 3. Theron is out of her corner ready to complete the distruction of her opponent, Hurley is now stooped over, weaving from side to side. Charlize lands a right to Hurley’s forehead. The punch doesn’t have much effect as Liz comes out of her crouch with a right uppercut to the blonde’s chin. Theron I is thunder struck. She standing in shock as Hurley takes over. She drives the blonde across the ring with left and right crosses to deposit Theron on the ropes as the pro-Hurley crowd cheers. A uppercut to the chin leaves Theron leaning back in the ropes with her hands on Hurley head trying to push her away but she is taking a terrible beating as Hurley is punching away the the tummy, the midsection and the bra. Theron is glassy eyed as Liz rips into Theron’s breasts
Liz is killing the body and Charlize isn’t able to stop it. Breast punch are draining the color from Theron’s. Punches to the stomach have Theron gasping for breath. Her face is becoming unrecognizable as left and rights crash home. The referee is closely watch for some sign of resistance from Charlize, She manages to get her gloves up to protect her face and he lets the fight go on. The bell saves Charlize who wanders back to her corner.
Round 4. Liz moves out to the center or the ring. Her face and body show little
Signs of damage while Charlize’s beautiful looks seem to be gone. Her body is a mass of red and her face badly bruised. She is moving rather slowly. The meet and exchange uppercuts. The exchange goes Hurley’s way as Theron’s legs buckle. Charlize is staggering as Liz is punching at will. Two minutes pass as Hurley just has her way with the Goddess as a right hook drapes Theron is the ropes. She guts the blonde with a right to the belly an as the Theron slumps forward a fight hook straighens Charlize up. Her legs give way and she slides down to ropes. THERON IS DOWN. She’s on her hands and knees. Suddenly Upton is at the ring apron yelling at Charlize. Hurley isn’t celebrating. She knows the fight isn’t over until the Goddess is counted out. Theron is pulling herself up and she beats the count. She is slumped helplessly in the ropes. Tears are rolling down her cheeks, hands at her side. Some are calling for the fight to be stopped. The referee looks at Theron. There is only 10 seconds left in the round. He is not going to stop the fight with only 10 seconds remaining. Theron is still standing as the bell rings Upton is still at the apron. She yelling at Theron who seems to be following her along the ropes. The corner is ready for her. It’s like a Nascar pit crew who have to change four tires in 15 seconds. Cold towels are applied to her face while ammonia capsules are broken had her legs are being massaged. Upton is at the corner talking up to Charlize who listens and nods
Round 5. Charlize now looks no worse for ware while Hurley looks a little tired. She hasn’t fought in nine months. A little sparring is not the same thing. She has thrown a lot of punches in the last two rounds and Theron is still coming out ready to fight. Charlize is the first to strike as she pushes out a jab to Liz’s face snapping her head back. Charlize, then goes to the body working on Hurley’s midsection while Hurley wants to work on Charlize’s face. Charlize is winning the battle when left cross turns her head to the side. Liz takes advantage by slamming a pair of straight punches into Theron chest. Theron is hurt and angry. Not a good combination A furious Theron suddenly steps in. She ready to brawl. A right to the chin buckles Liz’s legs and Charlize goes all in. A flurry of hooks and crossed drive the brunette across the ring and into the ropes. Theron then switches to the body working on Liz’s stomach. She beating the breath out of her nemesis. Hurley is desperately trying to avoid Theron’s blitz and fight back but Theron is not cooperating as she paying back for working on her chest. Straight punches power into Hurley’s breasts. The punishment is adding up as Hurley goes glassy eyed. She is having trouble breathing as those body punches did their job. Hurley is desperately trying to hold on till the bell which rings saving Hurley. Charlize stomps back to her corner angry that she didn’t finish Liz
Round 6 Theron off her stool quickly. Hurley is a little slower. Charlize is now stalking Hurly like a cat slowly getting into position to strike. They meet in the center of the ring. Liz lands a pair of hooks to Theron’s body Hurley starts to move up to Theron head, when Charlize’s body does a turn to the right and a a sweeping hook catches all of Hurley chin. A surprise look appears on Hurley’s face as her legs give way and she topples over on her back. Theron doesn’t bother to look. She simply turns and walks to a corner. Liz rolls over and struggles to get to her hands and knees. She makes it by the count of six but she can’t get to one knee as the count passes her by. It’s over and Charlize can be seen taking big breath of relief that she was the one who survived Kate Upton is seen clapping as Theron’s hand is raised in victory

AFTER
Liz and Charlize are both in the press room In difference to their last bout when only Liz appeared as Theron was under medical care. Liz is the first to speak.
I have to congratulate Charlize on winning the best of seven but I don’t think it was easy for you. In the fourth I had her almost out and helpless but she survived the round when I couldn’t get her out of there. When you get a chance to knock out Charlize, you better take advantage. I couldn’t. I never saw that final punch. I saw her start to rotate her body, the next thing I knew I was on my back with my corner bringing around. This will be our last fight. The bout was moved up to night because I was 55. I turn 56 in ten days and Charlize will no longer fight anyone who is over 55.
Charlize speaks up. Liz is right. She had me ready to go in the fourth. I was out of it. I was helpless. Lucky for me she didn’t land the final punch. Quite frankly I knew Liz would make the bout hard for me but I was surprised she was beating me the way she was. I was angry that she was targeting my chest. I wanted payback. Of course, it seems everyone wants to target my chest. I should be used to it by now but it hurts badly. I know y’all have questions about Kate
We have met so many times that we have become good friends. When she was at the apron yelling at me when I was down, she was telling me to stop being a coward and get up. Then when she walked towards my corner she was telling me to follow her as she thought I didn’t know where my corner was. Finally when she was standing near my corner she was offering some advise which turned out to be good advise. Now if you will excuse us, Liz and I are going to the Arena lounge and chat for awhile before she flies back to the UK. I'm asking Kate Upton to set in. She might interested in what is said at the end of a twenty two year bitter rivalry. I hope she has the opportunity to experience the same thing in her career |
