Hannah Davis vs Brooklyn Decker
(Fates Boxing vs Lioness Club of America)
(7-9, 7 KO vs 55-20, 43 KO)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: Since Karen Gillan remains busy with the Diamond Boxing Tournament, Brooklyn Decker is happy to fight the other Fates welterweight Hannah Davis in the so-called meantime. Hannah defeated Lioness Club third-stringer Romee Strijd last year and feels ready to step up the food chain after she banged out middleweight tweener Antje Utgaard earlier this season as well. If there is one dangerous floater with a subpar record then Hannah Davis might just be your mystery woman!

Hannah Davis wears a light blue bikini set & silver gloves. Long dark blonde hair tied in a curled ponytail. Brooklyn Decker wears a pink bikini set & black gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a half-up ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Tactical affair in the opener, plenty of single-hand assault that bounces off the high-guard as Brooklyn refuses to go after the designated underdog and Hannah simply wants to see out the potential slugging blast from the former champion. It's non-existent so Davis tries to score some cheap artistic value points thumping the fellow blonde to the body but then eats a brutal hook across the nose and has to think better off it. Brooklyn decides not to chase her down and controls the range with the front jab alas that does nothing meaningful in particular and gives the Fates entourage something to think about during the break.

Round 2:
The Fates crew thought about it and Davis gets more aggressive with her opening burst only to find Brooklyn cutting her up down the middle which snaps Hannah's head back and sends her into a hectic retreat. No counter-punching response spells trouble when Brooklyn cranks up the volume and lands some single loopers over the top. Hannah doesn't strike a confident tone with her footwork and soaks up more hits up the middle as Decker gradually works around her high-guard and picks up several holes to drop Davis into angry scowls some the final minute. Hannah struggles to fend off the jabbing haze and looks extremely raw on defense even with Brooklyn nor running on all cylinders so far.

Rounds 3 & 4:
More defensive woes for Davis early in the third as she gets thumped up the middle and struggles to embrace the point-blank range assault. Brooklyn doesn't have to do much as she rallies around the leaky high-guard and cleans up the easy points. Hannah gets frustrated when her jabbing response gets blocked off and she's not quick enough to force a high-octane approach from the methodical Ohio rival. Power-hitting flaws come to bite Davis late when she wobbles into an uppercut double on the chin and slumps into more spasms.

Steady Davis revival in the fourth gets neutralized when Decker clinches and outmuscles the more aggressive opponent as both models end up hugging the ropes and bumping racks to trigger a brief JMDD-like dispute. Brooklyn wins that one and thumps the younger blonde in the solar plexus before blasting her on each temple as Davis cuts another dejected figure nursing a noticeable lump around the left eye at the bell.

Round 5:
Hannah lashes out in slugging fashion and forces Brooklyn to move around a lot faster for a change before a looping cross finds the nose and wobbles the Ohio native off her stance. She tries to swing from the back foot but Davis gets there first with the follow up and clocks Decker on the mouth before another looping hook tags her on the temple. Ugh! Brooklyn stumbles to the side and fails to escape a buzzsaw drive up her rack that has Davis running full steam ahead until she lifts Decker's bumpers into her chin! Ugh! Another half-swing and Brooklyn's solar plexus gets pierced so she stumbles forward to meet an uppercut closer!!! DOWN GOES BROOKSIE!!! Hannah almost twists her ankle as she jumps for joy to leave the fellow blonde down on all fours deep in the round. That is quite a turnaround for the books albeit Brooklyn still gets saved by the bell as the count reaches six before the clock expires. She gets up to issue a proper bytch stare over at the Fates corner but Hannah withstands the eyeball and...

Round 6:
...proceeds to bang more slugging venom early in the sixth. She wants to cash in on the knockdown but Brooklyn's improved agility leaves her just out of the younger blonde's reach for majority of the round. Nonetherless Hannah keeps lashing around the area and hopes to catch the Ohio blonde with a lucky heater. That doesn't materialize however Decker remains in heavy retreat and doesn't strike such a confident pose anymore which enables the Fates fighter to feel more flamboyant late in the round when she delivers a slugging check & swing while keeping Brooklyn pinned on the turnbuckle.

Round 7:
Hannah feels the upset vibes and keeps gashing Brooklyn in mid-distance but fails to follow through enough and eats an uppercut response on the rack as the LCA blonde digs herself out of the hole come the one-minute mark. She pounds away the Hannah's bumpers and drops a quick bomb on the liver area that neutralizes the younger blonde before a looping cross on the nose sends Davis reeling. The Fates fighter tries to slip by the anticipated Decker hammer but she still gets punked on the temple and wobbles butt-in-ropes where Brooklyn tears up her chimney and issues a feisty uppercut drive to send Hannah's bumpers well on their way. And Davis has to clinch the fellow blonde just to limit the damage!

Round 8:
Hannah tries to fire straight back rather than settle for the counter-punching ideas but eats a scything cross on the mouth and wobbles into more uppercut trouble as Brooklyn gets vocal and kicks into a jug muggin' gear to throw the fellow model totally off course. Hannah swings and bounces off the top of Decker's shoulder before she gets spiked on the solar plexus and wobbles into more gut-checking nightmare. Brooklyn bumps her off and rifles a vicious harpoon on the liver that finally breaks Hannah's resilience... she slumps into loud spasms and doesn't even notice the last punch that nails her on the right temple moments later... DOWN GOES DAVIS!!! The younger model crashes down on the canvas and remains in spread eagle disarray during the otherwise slow count. She just can't find the reset button so it's KO8 Brooklyn Decker in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: Brooklyn gives the fallen blonde a lenghty stare before heading back to coach Claudia Schiffer in the LCA corner. This wasn't exactly a statement-making victory for the Ohio native and quite frankly Hannah Davis gave her more trouble than even BLONDE! Magazine anticipated beforehand. Not bad for a seemingly second-choice fighter. Hannah might be stuck below .500 career-wise but she is a dangerous floater alright and some pundits believe she can find that breakthrough result as long as she remains on the Fates roster.

Official Result: Brooklyn Decker def. Hannah Davis KO8.
