BEFORE:
Ginny Gardner makes her return to the Doll Ball after an unfortunate crash-out to Selena Gomez back in mid-April. The tall blonde actress has hit a spell of bad luck in recent months, losing three fights in a row with no end in sight to her fortunes thus far. Pardon her slightly sheepish expression on her face as she takes her seat at the pre-fight press conference, parting her blonde hair over her shoulder before taking questions from reporters.

"I'm hoping tonight's my night. I'm 0-2 for the year, but that was against pretty tough competition. I'm fighting someone relatively new tonight, and I'm both bigger and more experienced than her. She DID win all her fights so far...I’ll give her that, so I'm sure this isn't going to be a cakewalk or anything, but I'm ready to teach her how it feels to finally lose and at the same time bounce back and climb back up. This division is pretty brutal… but I’m learning from every single fight…and my goal is to break into the top 20 this year. I think I can do it."

That fighter who’s ‘someone new’ is none other than Caylee Cowan, who made her FCBA debut back in December last year by knocking out Bebe Rexha and then went on to beat Odds & Ends’ Bantamweight prospect Samara Weaving . As Ginny said, she has remained undefeated thus far, recently venturing into JMD competition with another impressive upset win over Foxfire’s Natalie Alyn Lind. Cowan has a lot to be confident about coming into this fight tonight, and the blonde certainly shows it.

“B*tch doesn’t stand a chance, is what I feel. If she’s so desperate for a win, she should have never challenged ME. That tells me she’s either stupid, or naïve.” Caylee turns her nose up at sweet-old Gardner when it’s her turn at the mic. “Think about it - blondie here’s lost almost as many fights as she’s won. She’s soft. She’s FAR below my radar as far as I’m concerned, but I’ll take any wins I can get right now. Gonna build up my name around here. I’m already ranked higher than this b*tch, and after I knock her the f*ck out tonight that gap will be even bigger. 4-0 here I come baby!”

Ladies meet at the podium and it’s far from your polite affair. Caylee has a two-inch height disadvantage but other than that, neither girl is well-known for their power-punches, so Gardner might only have a slight reach advantage as she enters this battle. The Dollhouse blonde is doing her best to remain calm on stage, her fists raised to chest level as she simply looks back at Caylee with neutral eyes. Cowan on the other hand is still mouthing off, gesturing rudely, even shoving a finger into the blonde’s chest, trying to provoke a response, to no avail.

Referee separates both fighters and none too soon. Caylee has that mouth that defines some of Ginny’s own stablemates, but for now, these two have found themselves on opposite sides of the spectrum as they head back to their locker rooms to prepare for their eventual showdown.

Fight night rolls around and Caylee is first to explode onto the stage, wearing a bright orange jumper and a neon yellow sports bra peeking out underneath. She’s wearing a pair of black boxing trunks as she gestures wildly to the adoring fans, skipping down the ramp and waving red gloves into the air. Ginny’s entrance is more muted, as befitting the Dollhouse darling – the actress strides down the ramp accompanied by Carmen Electra, the blondes arms swinging confidently by her sides, wearing her usual azure blue sports bra and long grey tights, lush blonde hair in a ponytail, her gloves matching her bra in color.

In the ring, the referee asks both fighters to touch gloves after going through the rules, but Gardner’s kind offer is turned down by Cowan with a cheeky smirk and a turn of her back. Nothing else to do but see who’s the better fighter! There goes the bell and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Ginny starts things slow and cautious, with any girl with three losses in a row bound to start questioning one’s life choices in the ring. She fights off Caylee’s multiple springs forward with well-focused and coordinated footwork, and weaving her head in multiple directions, with Cowan treating the fight as seriously as she does her opponent. The Left Turns Knockout starlet makes frequent rushes towards Ginny, shooting combos at her head in rapid fashion, thinking the creampuff of a blonde is BOUND to melt at the first sign of trouble. Meanwhile, Gardner’s staying sharp as a blade, jumping backwards to avoid or absorb her attacks easily, before shooting back the occasional right hand that lands straight on Caylee’s face. Cowan growls with frustration at the end of the first round - it wasn’t supposed to turn out like this, with the bigger blonde instead raising her hand to her fans as Ginny takes the first round wide.

ROUND 2:
Caylee’s response, unfortunately (or otherwise) is even MORE aggression, determined to overwhelm Gardner and put her down before the fifth minute. Right out of the gate the smaller girl is rushing forward, her head dipped down, arms hovering close to the chin before SPITTING out those combos once Gardner gets into her field of vision. Ginny’s having a tougher time here avoiding the challenge, taking some nasty shots to the gut, with Caylee even throwing the occasional right hook at her head outta nowhere, at one time blasting one into the side of her arms and sending her reeling dangerously backwards. Ginny however recoups her losses late in the round, staying behind and continues to jab at the tired blonde. That’s all she can do at the tail end of this round, unfortunately, as Caylee lets out an energetic roar of her own in the direction of her own corner, effectively putting her back into this fight.

ROUND 3:
Girls march on ahead, looking forward to pulling ahead in this fight. Caylee having recuperated somewhat between the rounds, now back to stalking Gardner from afar and then flying into overdrive once the Doll stays in her sights for long enough. Ginny moves and fights a little more strategically, head constantly weaving left and right to avoid the sudden lunges at her from Cowan, then tagging the shorter blonde back on her cheek with a nice, technical hook or jab combo bashing in. Caylee’s dominant first half gets eroded this way into the second, but to the Knockout’s credit, she refocuses on her defences during the final minute of the round, staying at a distance and not allowing any of Ginny’s counterattacks to touch her. In this way, the shorter fighter manages to edge out a narrow win when the bell rings.

ROUND 4:
Ginny’s tactics work only when her opponent is making unforced error after unforced error. Luckily for her, Caylee seems determined to conquer lost ground even when she’s already winning this fight. Cowan rushes in again in the opening seconds, thinking this fight has probably gone on FAR enough and wants to secure an early knockdown for her stable’s namesake. Instead, she’s caught by a bashing hook to the face as Ginny takes the fight back to her, pushing her back for the rest of the round. Carmen Electra heard and seen screaming at her blonde fighter’s back, urging Ginny to press in and seize the advantage when the iron’s hot, and Ginny does exactly that, stunning Cowan with another straight hit to her chin, which further dazes her. Cowan’s moving like a totally different fighter all of a sudden, her arms swaying wild and barely attacking back as she tries to fend off Ginny’s counter-assault. Gardner makes up for lost time indeed, alternating shots stuffed into Caylee’s mouth and body, and ultimately winning her the best round she’s had in a long, long while.

ROUND 5:
Bad news for Caylee as she realises her own recklessness has gotten her into this hot soup. It’s only the fifth round and already the newcomer is breathing hard, both from the earlier rushes at Gardner and then the subsequent beating she took in that shutout fourth. Ginny presses in for the kill now, none of that brazen rushes and ape-sh*t stuff like some of her fellow stablemates are known for; just slow, methodical combos sent into the shorter blonde’s body, which bowl her over with grunts, then more bashing shots landing off the forehead or sent straight into the nostrils, which throw her head back in spades. Minute two and Caylee’s in serious trouble, sent stumbling backwards when another cross-hand is driven into her chin, and Gardner decides to rush in to spam blows towards her head! Another right hook knocks into the side and DOWN THE COCKY BLONDE GOES!! Caylee knocked senseless, getting the snot beat out of her in these closing moments of the round, left staring back up at her assailant with wide eyes! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Ginny Gardner!

The referee starts the count, with Ginny giving her opponent a little nod of ‘that’s freakin’ how it’s done’ before returning back to the neutral corner to await the result. Cowan, however, is slowly clamoring back to her feet, the rest of her body and legs shaking the entire way, as she uses the ropes to steady herself. Referee asks if she wants to continue, and the platinum blonde gnashes her teeth at him and orders him to get the f*ck out of his face. I guess that’s a ‘Yes’ then.

Another minute and a half left on the clock and the ref has no choice but to shrug and wave for the round to resume! Caylee’s spunk and attitude, however, do not translate automatically into fighting prowess after barely recovering from a knockdown mere seconds ago - her tough exterior immediately melts away at the sight of Ginny coming straight at her! Gardner, looking relentless but calm, wades in hard and fast, rocking Caylee with a low hook to her body before punting her head back with a one-two combo to the nose. Caylee’s doing her best to survive in the pocket, her back glued to the ropes as she takes small steps to the side to try and get the hell away. But Gardner not allowing it, the Doll keeping on Cowan the entire way and scoring more blows straight off her noggin’. Cowan is slowly getting beaten to a bloody mess but the stubborn blonde STILL refuses to give up - a final WHAP to the nose rocks her 180 degrees around, with her head and arms left draped over the top rope, and THAT’S IT - THE REFEREE HAS SEEN ENOUGH! He jumps in to cover Caylee’s back from more of Gardner’s punches! It’s all OVER!

Official Decision: Ginny Gardner defeats Caylee Cowan via TKO5!

AFTER:
A long overdue win for the beautiful and dangerous Virginia Gardner, who probably took her last three losses personally in order to come back tonight with a strong statement. She looks incredibly excited as the result is announced, made official, grinning and throwing her hands into the air before running back to her corner to celebrate, high fiving everyone she can.

Caylee, meanwhile, is ignored completely by the Doll, not because there’s anything left to be said, but precisely because Gardner has put her words into action tonight, and the up-and-coming cocky blonde in her place. Caylee may have suffered the first loss of her career, but the mark of a real champion is how they get back up and keep on fighting. Of course, try telling that to the dazed blonde, still having trouble processing her first ever loss on her wooden stool, and looking confused and frustrated at the realization it’s over.

Meanwhile, Ginny is busy celebrating with her fans - those same men and women who’ve stuck by her through these last few months, and are letting out cheers from their seats, even chanting her name over and over again at one point. Gardner later beams into the cameras after she returns backstage, speaking to reporters in the immediate aftermath of her win. “I feel amazing! Winning again is f*cking exhilarating!” says the still sweaty beauty. “People told me I should think twice about fighting Caylee if I want a high chance of winning. f*ck that. I knew I could and would beat her. To anyone doubting me, just shut up and watch. I plan on proving all of you suckers wrong in the near future! Other than that…I REALLY need to go shower now. Buh-bye!”
