2. Georgina Poh vs Kerstin Ong

Georgina:

Next match features another pair of debuting stars yet again. Both are athletically built and the fans are expected to get their money’s worth.

Georgina: “She looks tough but she’s a track and field athlete. I don’t see how that is going to help power her punches. I’m stronger than her and I’m going to win this!”

Kerstin: “She can talk all the smack she wants, I’m letting my gloves do the talking!”

Fight time! Georgina wears black sports bra and bottom with white gloves while across the ring, Kerstin wears a baby blue sports bra, grey bottoms with blue gloves.

Round 1:
Kerstin comes in hot, lighting Georgina’s face with a couple of jabs that put Georgina on defence from the start. Georgina tries to counter but isn’t quite able to turn the tide as her younger opponent continues to put pressure on her. The round ends with Kerstin taking the lead.

Round 2:
Kerstin maintains her strategy, approaching aggressively towards her equally-sized opponent, looking for a quick finish. But her brash approach proves costly as Georgina counters with a swift right hook! BAM! Kerstin stumbles into the ropes and immediately raises her guard and it is Georgina’s turn from then on. Georgina ends the round with a wide lead over Kerstin. Despite the costly mistake, Kerstain manages to survive the rest of the round, giving her the chance to collect herself during the break.

Round 3:
The two-equally size competitors marched valiantly to the center and touch gloves. Georgina absorbs blocks against a right straight to the face at the expense of taking a left body hook. Georgina tries to counter with a left cross but misses, allowing Kerstin to follow up with a double right jab and a left cross that sends Georgina staggering. Kerstin lunges in for the finish but Georgina guards herself just in time to thwart her attempt. Georgina sidesteps and counters with a right cross, staggering the track athlete. Kerstin quickly covers up to stop Georgina’s flurry of punches and slips off quickly to create distance. Georgina rides on her momentum but Kerstin quickly stops her by parrying Georgina’s cross and countering with a hook. Georgina is shaken! Kerstin lands a jab and a straight before the round ends. Round goes to Kerstin by a small margin.

Round 4:
Kerstin goes in hot, putting Georgina on the defensive. Georgina slips away from a few punches and lands a few body shots on Kerstin, but she remains relentless. The back-and-forth would carry on for a minute before Kerstin catches Georgina by surprise with a Bolo punch! Shaken yet again, Georgina goes on the retreat while Kerstin mounts the pressure on her. The round ends with Kerstin wide. Georgina is looking visibly frustrated as she goes to her corner.

Round 5:
Kerstin’s surprise, Georgina has pretty much forsaken her guard as she approaches. Kerstin takes advantage of the opening and swipes Georgina’s face left and right. To her surprise, Georgina has a remarkably strong ‘chin’. During that realization, Georgina drives a strong uppercut into her tummy, causing Kerstin to curl up and retreat. Georgina charges in and mauls Kerstin, with most of her shots landing on the arms. Kerstin quickly slips away and distances herself. As Georgina approaches, she lands a left jab and right hook in Georgina’s face, staggering her slightly. The round ends with Georgina having a slight lead. Kerstin clutches her stomach in pain as she goes to her corner.

Round 6:
Kerstin looks visibly worn down as she goes into the sixth round. She spends most of the round trying to block off Georgina’s heaving punches in a crouch position. Occasionally, she manages to duck and counter punch, but struggles to put accuracy in her shot. In the last minute, Georgina hits a stiff uppercut that broke through Kerstin’s guard and dug into her softened belly! Kerstin drops and curls in the fetal position! The ref ushers Georgina into the corner and counts...to TEN! It’s over!

Official Decision: Georgina Poh defeats Kerstin Ong via KO6!

Post-match:
Georgina pumps her fists in the air as she parades around the ring. When asked who she would like to challenge next,

“Without a doubt, Natalie! Book me a match with her!”
