Next match features one of the local fan favorites and a debuting star.

Jamie: “I have seen Queenie’s workout video. She seems like a tough cookie. Nonetheless, I will win this match!”

Queenie: Step aside Jamie! There’s a new queen in town!”

Fight time! Queenie is wearing a red sports bra, black shorts and black gloves. Her hair tied up in a high ponytail. Across the ring. Jamie wears a steel blue sports bra, black tights and white gloves. Her hair tied in a ponytail.

Round 1:
The debuting boxer bounces out of the corner like a super-energized Rabbit in contrast to Jamie’s calm and collected demeanor. The younger Queenie starts off aggressively by throwing a flurry of punches but is unable to break through Jamie’s guard. Pang carefully time Queenie’s punches and lands an uppercut that breaks the younger boxer’s rhythm. Queenie quickly distances herself, occasionally lunging in for an attack. But Jamie manages to counter tap Queenie in the chin. The round ends mostly in Jamie’s favor.

Round 2:
The pair touch gloves and begin circling around the center. Jamie presses in with her early advantage and tries to corner the younger boxer. However, Queenie’s ring awareness in combination with excellent footwork from dance training allows her to swerve out of the ropes and corner whenever she is near, frustrating Jamie. Before Jamie can realize, Queenie turns the situation on her, trapping Jamie in the corner instead. Jamie keeps her body crunched up with her gloves forming earmuffs as Queenie tries to break down her defenses. Even though Jamie remains unhurt, the round ends in Queenie’s favor.

Round 3:
Re-energized after the break, Jamie collects her focus in the third round and keeps a sharp eye on Queenie’s dazzling movements. Jamie guards against most of Queenie’s paws for most of the first minute and sees an opening! The fan favorite fires a blistering right hook across Queenie’s cheek, throwing her off rhythm. Spotting an opportunity, Jamie goes in hard, swinging wildly in search of a “knockout” while Queenie helplessly defends. Queenie refuses to go down without a fight, taking a wild counter shot that lands perfectly in Jamie’s face and starts firing back in the last 10 seconds. Despite that, Jamie has it wide this round.

Round 4:
Riding on the momentum, Jamie charges in aggressively and immediately puts Queenie on retreat. Queenie manages to duck most of the punches initially but soon becomes overwhelmed as Jamie looks to end the match within this round. Queenie desperately defends but an uppercut slips under her guard and sends Queenie’s head snapping backwards and into the ropes. Queenie drops to her knees as she tries to shake the cobwebs off her head. Queenie manages to survive the knockdown narrowly as she gets up at 8 albeit still a little dazed. Queenie spends the rest of the round defending to survive...and survive she does. Jamie pants with heavy breaths with beads of sweat running down her cheeks, disappointed that she didn’t get the knockout blow despite pouring it all out.

Round 5:
After taking a much needed break, Queenie slams her gloves and valiantly marches in. Jamie tries to pick up where she left off. Jamie comes in strong with body blows and hooks to the head but Queenie takes some of the blows but manages to duck occasionally to seek a light jab to Jamie’s face. While not strong enough to put Jamie down, it frustrates the Fan Favorite causing her to make mistakes. By minute 2, Queenie decides to go on the offensive, buffeting Jamie with lefts-and-rights but Jamie manages to duck one of Queenie’s over-committed punches and counters with an uppercut, throwing off Queenie’s rhythm. However, the uppercut wasn’t able to put Queenie down and the round ends before Jamie can capitalize on the uppercut. Jamie ends the round with a slight edge over Queenie.

Round 6:
Jamie comes out of the break looking exhausted after spending most of her energy on the last two rounds. The sloppiness of her punches begins to show as she struggles to put accurate shots into the nimble Queenie. Seeing an opening, Queenie swipes Jamie’s chin with a left-right combination, slowing her reaction even further before following up with a right cross then sends Jamie staggering. Jamie gets her senses back in time to defend, trying to counter punch the younger girl but Queenie remains dominant. Queenie takes this round with a big lead!

Round 7:
Building on her momentum last round, Queenie comes in aggressively only to be greeted by Jamie’s signature counter uppercut! Turning the tide, Jamie mounts on the offensive but Queenie clinches onto her, providing her some respite from the dizzying uppercut. As soon as the clinch breaks off, Jamie continues to zone in on Queenie relentlessly as the crowd cheers her on. However, the lack of defense proves to be costly as Queenie manages to catch Jamie with a strong right cross, sending her backpedalling with her arms flailing. Queenie rushes in but Jamie collects herself in time and the fight descends into a brawl with sweat flying all over the ring. Last 5 seconds, Queenie manages to land a clean straight into Jamie’s face, sending her stumbling into the ropes. The round ends with Queenie having a slight lead.

Round 8:
Queenie comes in hot, ready to capitalize on a stupefied Jamie. She feints a left jab to the face, causing Jamie to raise her guard before landing a clean shot into Jamie’s stomach! Jamie bends over, leaving her head wide-open for a strong right hook to the cheek! BOOM! Down goes Jamie. 1...2...3.. Jamie rolls onto her back...4...5..6… Jamie tries to sit up..7..8...9..Jamie drops back onto the canvas..10! Winner by KO8, Queenie Sia!

Official decision: Queenie Sia defeats Jamie Pang via KO8

Post-match: Queenie runs around the ring to celebrate her debut win over the fan favourite as Jamie’s legions of fans sign in disappointment. She draws further irk from fans as she straddles over Jamie and poses for the journalists before the officials usher her away.
