Taylor Swift vs. Kelly Rohrbach

Taylor Swift: 31 years old, 5’11”, 57-28 since 2009, Fates Boxing

Kelly Rohrbach: 31 years old, 5’9”, 26-16, Lioness Club of America

Before:

Lightweight action tonight sees two top blondes in Taylor Swift and Kelly Rohrbach square off for the second time. Swift emerged victorious is the first battle between the two blondes, and Kelly’s goal tonight is to get revenge. The story around Taylor, however, barely focuses on Kelly. The FCBA is still buzzing after Taylor Swift lost her best of seven series to Kate Upton by a knockout in the thirteenth round, and this is the first time the singer has been seen since that loss.

“I’m not here to talk about fights which have already happened against other girls.” Swift tells the press, “I’m just here to say that the last time Kelly and I set foot in the same ring, I won. It’ll be the same tonight, and I’ll remind everyone that I’m Taylor freakin Swift.”

Rohrbach rolls her eyes, “Oh please. You’ve had your time in the spotlight, Taylor. I’ll make sure that anyone who excuses your last loss will say you’re washed up after tonight.”

Taylor glares at Kelly, who merely gets up and walks away from the irritated singer.

Come time for the fight, Swift makes her entrance to a rowdy crowd and a mixture of cheers and boos. The singer decided to forego the robe for the fight, stepping out in her silver sports bra and matching trunks and gloves for the fight. As she strides to the ring, she visibly seethes at signs that say she’s past her prime, and once in the ring, doesn’t stop seething as she paces around it.

Moments later, Kelly makes her way out from the back and makes her way towards the ring. The model turned actress slips out of her robe to reveal a tight-fitting red bikini set and white gloves, her long blonde hair tied up in a bun for the fight. Kelly waves to the crowd, drawing a loud response as she keeps her seething foe waiting. The ref calls the two girls together for final instructions, asking the two to touch gloves. Kelly extends hers, but Taylor refuses to touch them and backs off, anticipating the start of the match. The referee and Kelly see that Taylor won’t oblige, and the bell rings to start the fight.

Round 1:
The two blonde beauties start by circling each other, with Taylor throwing the jabs from distance. Kelly just keeps her guard up, blocking Taylor’s punches as the two dance around the ring. Swift feints right and smacks Rohrbach with a left, knocking the actress backwards. Taylor steps up and throws a follow-up right, but Kelly blocks the blow, plants her feet and drills Taylor in her mouth with a right. Now it’s Taylor who’s dropping back, the singer covering up as Kelly hammers rights and lefts into the taller girl’s body, working her into the ropes. The ref’s watching this closely as Kelly is hammering Taylor without mercy, and the singer locks in a desperation clinch that finally forces a break. Taylor keeps her distance as the seconds pass in the round, and the bell rings. The first round goes to Kelly on points, wide.

Round 2:
The second round starts the same as the first, but Swift is more cautious with her jabs this time. Taylor splits Kelly’s gloves with a straight right that leaves the shorter blonde in retreat. Rohrbach backs off and plants her feet, but this time Swift is ready for Rohrbach’s response and the singer ducks the blow and goes to her foe’s body, pumping two solid rights into Kelly’s flank. Rohrbach is quick on the clinch, but she can’t stop Swift from still hitting leather into her body as Taylor takes every second before the referee gets involved. Taylor gets out with a quick right after the brief pause, but Kelly quickly responds with two strikes right to the singer’s chest, forcing Taylor to back off. The two blondes start circling again, with both seemingly content to let the round come to an end. They both go back to their corners, with Taylor tying everything up after two rounds.

Round 3:
Swift looks to continue her momentum as she goes back to that famous jab of hers and it does work early on, keeping Rohrbach on her heels. Swift steps forwards and hammers a right into Rohrbach’s flank, drawing a wince out of the shorter blonde. Kelly goes for the clinch but Taylor is able to work her left free to briefly get another shot into the actress’ ribs before the ref breaks the two apart. Rohrbach doesn’t back down after the action resumes, and quickly is able to punish a right jab from Swift as the singer overcommits to her blow, lunging slightly. Swift recoils and quickly counterpunches, but not before Rohrbach’s let her know how careful she has to be. Once again, the circling resumes, but this time with more action as the two blondes trade blows before the bell rings. The round once again goes to Swift on points, and the singer takes the lead.

Round 4:
Rohrbach gets a brief talking to in her corner and that’s all the advice she needed to start getting back into the fight, her counters crisply striking the taller girl. Swift keeps up the blows, but Kelly finds a big right into Taylor’s midriff that makes her clinch the smaller girl before the model can do any further damage. Swift gets her break and warily stays away from Rohrbach, but Kelly sees what’s coming and is able to deke the singer with a right feint before smashing a left into her face. Swift steps backwards, her back touching the ropes as the flustered singer swings wildly – and connects with enough of Rohrbach’s chin to buy her enough time to escape the ropes. Taylor goes for a follow-up left but it bounces off of Kelly’s gloves and the younger blonde tags Taylor in her chin and the singer looks wobbly – AND THE BELL RINGS! The bell saves Swift there as she staggers her way back to the Fates corner, as it looks like Rohrbach found her opening.

Round 5:
Taylor starts the round off on the defensive, protecting her head as Kelly dances circles around the older blonde. Rohrbach picks around Swift’s guard, tagging the taller girl in her ribs and chest as she protects her head. Kelly slams a right into the middle of Taylor’s gloves to see if she can break down the singer’s guard, but it holds firm. Swift takes the opportunity to bury shoot out a right at Kelly’s head, but the actress moves her head at the last second so the blow barely skims her ear. Swift goes for the follow-up left to her foe’s body – and her head gets snapped backwards by a straight right and the singer’s briefly stunned! Taylor hesitates a second before her gloves come up but that’s all Kelly needs to connect with a left-right hook combo that sends the singer to the canvas! The crowd erupts as Rohrbach is taking it to the former champ in Swift as the singer reaches for the ropes, pulling herself up at the count of eight. The referee checks in on her and determines she’s okay to continue, and waves Kelly back in. Rohrbach goes for body, looking to wear down Swift, but this time, Taylor’s clinching quickly and finding counterpunches whenever she can. The bell rings to end the round, and another round goes to Kelly on points.

Round 6:
Kelly is in control to start the round, and the Lioness girl goes back to Taylor’s body, digging sharp rights and lefts into the singer’s flank as she works her into the ropes. Swift is quick on the clinch, but Rohrbach is clearly dominating the round. When the action resumes, Taylor’s keeping her distance from Kelly, but the younger blonde is relentless in her pursuit of Taylor. She ducks a right jab from Swift and fires off a left back at the singer but it hits off of Taylor’s left gloves – and Kelly’s legs buckle as Swift finds a right response to the model’s chin! Rohrbach regains her footing and gets her gloves in front of her face just before Swift sent a vicious right crashing into her guard. Kelly’s still standing but she has bigger issues as Taylor goes body, working over her foe’s body with a vicious fever. Swift plunges a right into Rohrbach’s torso, making the actress grunt, and the singer slams a left into Rohrbach’s gloves and breaks down her guard! Kelly’s head is wide open and Taylor slams another right into her chin and down goes Kelly! Rohrbach picks her head off the canvas, a dazed look in her eyes as she pulls her arms underneath her and gets to all fours, but the ref’s already at ten! Kelly can’t beat the count and your winner by KO6, Taylor Swift!

After:
Taylor Swift instantly mounts the ringpost, wasting no time in posing for the cameras. Once she’s had her fill of the spotlight, she struts past Kelly, who’s now on a stool, and doesn’t even bother checking in on the blonde she defeated. Swift grabs a microphone and starts talking to the crowd.

“People were saying that I was broken after I lost to Kate Upton.” She begins, “But clearly, I’m still around taking names and winning fights. So to any girl who thinks I’m an easy victory, get in the ring with me and I will knock you out.” Swift drops the microphone and heads to the back, having made her point.

Rohrbach does a more standard talk with the press, but she keeps it simple. “I should have finished her off in the fifth. I couldn’t and she took me down. I will beat that blonde on day though. Mark my words.”
